Yes i think it should, ive rooted and im running gingerbread on my phone thanks to the xda forum members.
BTW the link was to the lg gt540 forum, if thats the lg opitimus you are referring to.

Stock verizon boot ani needed

Hello, i was wondering if anyone could help me locate a stock verizon boot animation. I've googled it and no go... any help would be appreciated! Also, sorry if this is in the wrong area!

Download the stock rom for your device and pull the bootanimation from there? I can't think of much else you can try...

I'm tired of this super charged rom I have and just want something new.
