i can't seem to get anything working. after a thousand times of trying, i can't build it. made all .mk files, extracted all blobs, but it is stuck at breakfast ( could not find product "full" , could not find product "generic" or something like it ) . why does it have to be so complicated?

[Q] Cyanogen Mod 7.1

So I read that CM7.1 has been released and among the newly supported devices was the samsung vibrant and galaxy s. Still nothing for SGS4G, but I was wondering how far off this could be given the expanded support to similar devices. Any of the current devs out there think this makes it more practical to get it to our device?

Yes its in the wrong fourms but im going to answer your question anyways.
the reason you dont see cm7 for the sgs4g is lack of a asop kernel (sence we dont have access to gb sourcecode for the sgs4g kernel.. (and theres alot of diffrences between the sgs4g and your typical galaxy s series rom that makes porting it without the source cumbersome.....
krylon 360 has been working forever on cm7 for the sgs4g and has done well they need the kernel source from gb to finish the kernel and complete the work..
so once samsung cough goes final with the gb rom and gives us source for the kernel expect cm7 and other asop roms in there fully glory

I apologize for getting everyone too excited and posting in the wrong thread. I don't spend very much time on these forums and didn't realize there was a q&a section. Thanks for the explanations though, hopefully we'll see it develop eventually. To be honest, I think my time with SGS4G will be ending once the nexus prime or whatever they're calling it now arrives.

CM9 Github

Guys I found this on one of the Cyanogenmod member's GitHub. He is adding lot of comments to his GithHub about Samsung Skyrocket. Check the link below, if anyone could make more sense of this then please explain. ( It looks like Alpha cm9 but I could be wrong )
1. https://github.com/darchstar
2. https://github.com/darchstar/cm_device_samsung_skyrocket
Very good infos.... Thanks.
Darchstar working on skyrocket cm9 is great news. Thanks for sharing! I would say that it want be long before our device sees an official cm9 build.

JellyBean kernels in development for NS?

Anyone currently developing a JellyBean kernel for Nexus S (or 4G)?

Of course there is. Every Dev who has created a ICS will make a JB. Not sure this is worthy of a thread start. Next week things will start rolling in Kernels and Rom's. Just enjoy JB.
Nothing is coming until we have source. This thread only asks a question that even a little bit of logic would make unnecessary. I don't get why anyone would feel the need to ask it, I mean what's their reasoning? Is every kernel dev is sitting on their hands until someone asks if anyone's working on something?

So, I tried to build a JB kernel, but it won't boot. It appears that Google have not pushed the correct kernel source for the JB OTA...
The PVR userspace libs and kernel driver is mismatched.
So, I've requested the correct source on the Android Building groups, and will release a test version whenever they decide to push that...

I would like to see the ROM as well as the other devs, so we can have a look.
As you know the other rom (miui) that came from over seas like this, only sort of worked, so...
