i know what you guys think..
WTH are Floaters??!...
well it's just a name i made up for myself..
and now let's begin with the explanation......
WARNING: This is a theme/mod but it's more of a game.

Remember when Gingerbread first came?.. when we found about the Settings/about device and press android version 3x and then we will see the gingerbread with zombies thingy?... yes that's it..
With ICS they added a new feature., press the image for about 2 seconds and you will see flying Anroid sandwiches..
and now with JellyBean we now see Floating JellyBeans.... (now you know why i call them floaters.. )
these things are no secret to us all., but what MOST of us don't is that these feature is a "HIDDEN GAME" at least by my own interpretation of it..
at first look you will only see JellyBeans floating endlessly through your wallpaper and then that's it....
but if you look closely AND long enough and pay attention., (and if you're lucky)., you will see a very rare sight... you will see this floating along with the jellybeans:
and that's the "HIDDEN GAME" made by google.. find the hidden treasure amongst the multi-colored JellyBeans..
And what most of us also don't know is you can actually customize them!.. you can change what's floating on your screen and change the hidden treasure!.. (4 images for Floaters and 1 for hidden treasure)
anything!.. even your own pic!..
here are some example screenshots: (assasin's creed/ironman/my beloved Omega ROM) (taken from my note 10.1)
How to make your own Floaters/Hidden treasure:
There are many ways to do this but this is the easiest (and most noob friendly) method... no need to de/recompile or sign any zips..
7-zip REQUIRED. and Photoshop or any image editing tool that can make your image transparent
1. Download the Custom Floaters Template (attached below)
2. Right click on the zip and open archive using 7-zip
3. go to MORPH/system/app/SystemUI.apk/res/drawable-nodpi
4. you will now see 5 png's: jandycane (the hidden treasure)., and the four others (Floaters).
5. select all png's and right click/copy to - to copy outside
6. now we can make edits :good:
7. open the png file (i recommend photoshop)., erase the jellybean/jandycane..
8. now drag/drop your image (must be transparent!) (use bg eraser tool to erase your custom image's background).
9. do same for other png's
10. if you're done., open the zip template again using 7-zip and drag drop your custom images to replace existing png's
11. that's it!... flash the zip and enjoy your new hidden game!.. :good:
Still can't do it on your own?... then i'll do it for you... this is what this thread is for.. attach your 5 images in your post (as zip so thread wont be spammed with large images(for your privacy also)) and dont forget to tell me which image you want to be the hidden treasure...
P.S. - you can also use this thread to post your custom floaters screenshots.
You can flash this over any theme or rom.. nothing else will be touched aside from those 5 png's mentioned..

also works for S3 as they have the same MP.. but omega v45 already have floating omegadroids by default also made by me..

sorry my bad... it isn't included yet in v45... it's included on v43.4 that indie released just now..
here you just have to flash it... if you want custom images just follow the guide i made.. :good:

sorry mate i didn't get you... you're asking how to make a flashable zip using your S3?.. that wouldn't work coz you have to sign the zip... it's possible if there's an app that can sign zips.. that's why in my guide it's the 7-zip drag/drop method so users won't have to do any signing..

I'll download ParanoidAndroid night times today, from there take a picture tomorrow and then let you get all the images, if it's okay is!

Now I have the s4 and I've found a way how I gets on my apk's and flashable zips can create / edit, but I have a problem:
I want floating-paranoid-jellybeans, of the pa-Rom, but I can not find them easily.
I go to the folder where the images are, but all I see are normal jellebeans without the grin.
How is that possible?

oh bad news my friend... and good news at the same time..
sorry but i'm not that familiar with PA or any other non-TW roms...
do you mean that PA has it's own floaters and you want to use it on your S4?...
if so can you can send me a systemui.apk and framework-res.apk of any PA rom you have in you?... i'll get the images there..
i also googled PA and they have 2 trademark icons... if you want me to use that instead I'll make it for you..

I took this opportunity to make a small tutorial for my friends who would be interested in learning some basic icon/app modding.
Before you begin plz make sure you have following stuff ready
1. Winrar.
2. Paint.net (easiest editor).
3. Few icons of your choice you want to try.
Here we go follow the steps slowly and i am sure you will never go wrong (Do remember do not follow this guide for .9 images)
STEP 1
SELECT ANY APK YOU WANT TO MOD for EXAMPLE I HAVE CHOSEN "MyFiles.apk"
YOU MAKE A SEPARATE FOLDER THEN AS SHOWN DRAG THE APK FROM THE ORIGINAL ROM TO THE FOLDER OF YOUR CHOICE.

SELECT THE FILE YOU WANT TO EDIT IN "DRAWABLE-HDPI" FOLDER
I SELECTED "ICON_MYFILES" LIKE BELOW
STEP 3
OPEN PAINT.NET AND OPEN BOTH THE ICONS U WANT TO EDIT AND THE ONE YOU WANNA USE AS ICON
SAVE NEW ICON VIA EDIT AND MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT CHANGE THE CANVAS SIZE AND SAVE THE FILE
STEP 4
VARIFY THE IMAGE HAS BEEN SAVED IN SAME NAME
STEP 5
OPEN THE APK & EDITED IMAGE FOLDER AND DRAG THE EDITED FILES INSIDE THE APK (IN WINRAR) WITHOUT DESTROYING THE DIRECTORY STRUCTURE
STEP 6
I HAVE ADDED TWO BLANK ZIP FILES ONE FOR SYSTEM FILES AND ONE FOR FRAMEWORK FILE
DRAG THE APK IN SYSTEM.ZIP INSIDE SYSTEM/APP FOLDER AND FLASH
IF YOU HAVE MODDED ANY FRAMEWORK FILE THE USE FRAMEWORK.ZIP AND PUT THE MODDED FILE FRAMEWORK.ZIP/FRAMEWORK FOLDER
STEP 7
HERE IS THE FINAL RESULT HAVE A LOOK

When u open that file..... match the logo that is same as per ur screen.... u have to look the fone and identify the icons....n mod...

TUTORIAL : HOW TO REMOVE DEFAULT ANDROID PATTERN CIRCLES
The instructions are quite complex and also you must have the latest java and jre 7. So proceed only if you have the following requirements. Also this method requires you to flash a zip file through CWM so you must have experience in flashing roms/kernels/themes and understand the risks in doin so. This method only lets you edit the framework manually and flash a zip to replace the old framework. Since there are a lot of themes and custom roms out there i cannot ask every developer to include this feature in their rom/theme. Hence only proceed if you understand the risks and as always "I am not Responsible should anything go wrong with your Note"
Requirements:
1) Windows PC with jre 7
2) Rooted Note
3) Prior Knowledge of Flashing through CWM Recovery
4) Download Framework Flasher from here and say thanks to wesf90
5) Very important Files here
6) Additional File in case of error here
Let's Start
Step 1) [On Phone] : Use a file explorer like root explorer to navigate to system/framework and copy the framework-res.apk to any location on your sd card.
Step 2) [Phone and PC]: Connect your phone to your pc thru cable or wifi what ever suits you and transfer the framework-res.apk(the one copied to your sd card) to the PC
Step 3) [PC] :
a) Unzip Framework Flasher
b) Unzip Transparent files
c) Unzip latest aapt
d) keep all three folders in your C drive (or where ever windows is installed)
b) Copy the framework-res.apk to "place-framework-res-here" folder (obviously!!)
c) Run the "RunMe.bat"
d) select 1 to decompile
e) Go to files-to-edit/framework-res.apk/res/drawable-xhdpi and copy and replace the two pngs from transparent files folder
i) Back to RunMe.bat and press 2 to compile apk(takes a few seconds). incase of 'echo' error goto step (j) otherwise skip to (k)
j) Copy the files from latest aapt folder to frameworkflasher/resources and repeat step (i)
k) press any key to continue.. dont worry abt temp-file thingy written there
l) press 3 to sign, then press 4 to create the zip file
m) copy update.zip file to your phone and wipe cache and dalvik in cwm and flash the zip file.
Step 4) Reboot and Enjoy!!

I was thinking of an epl series with Manu, manc, che, liv, ars etc.. But there are 11 players and oly 9 placeholders so i cant put players there.. any ideas or suggestions on what to use in those 9 placeholders??

Looks beautiful, but there's one problem.
Every time the Kii keyboard keeps FC'ing. But the problem is you can't select an other keyboard.
So you also can't download from the play store.
So you first have to install an other keyboard from your sd card.
But anyway, this rom's fantastic!

1.i dont include the lockscreen because it sounds very laggy in the thread if anybody has test it and can report that it works i will include it in next version.

You are doing your best already and this is more than enough. Continue and with experience you will be better and you will have very good ROM.
Can't download , please add mediafire , zippyshare or dropbox link please :crying:
You can use Kingonkwongs Lockscreen mod, just copy the settings.apk, ariesveparts.apk and framework-res.apk for the lg lockscreen. Set permissions correctly.
Then wipe cache and dalvik, and go to settings- advanced- lockscreen and choose LG.
That's all.
But don't forget to ask for permission for this mod!

Installation :
1: put the rom and the MiniTAB-DPI_Fix in ur SD
2:reboot to recovery
3:make full wipe (optional but high recommended)
4:flash the rom then DPI fix zip
5:reboot

the issues in this build :
samsung keyboard doesn't fit right in landscape u can use any other keyboard
samsung camer bar glitch it not a big problem u can use any hide bar app or deal with it
playing video in fullscreen make u cant use play pause and others option : solve with any hide bar app
spen make camera FC if u use it for take pictures : u can use ur hand
world clock app work only in landscape
for me i dont think this are make the rom useless
and it is up to u in the end

this is a full rom from note 10.1 all apps from it not modified
for stock rom u need the browser and its libs from tablet rom to make it working in ur rom

if u downloaded the attach just rename it and change the .zip to .xml thats it
and this file it is my all set dpi and res for APP Setting to save ur time and make sure u have the right modified settings

Just tested on bruce2728 - and they work. So should work on any stock ROM odexed or deodexed.
I see some of my uploads are missing from Dev-Host - If required, please shout and I'll re upload them.

I would like it to be a place where the modders can showcase and publish their efforts, show off screenshots and share Zips.
Be patient, be kind and I'm sure some of us will even accept requests, within reason and time permitting, of course.
Personally, I work all day, have a family and this is just a hobby!
All those Pardus users who enjoy modding their LG G2 climb on board and post your mods with pictures for all to see - just please help out if any problems arise.
I set this up for the Pardus modders amongst us. The Popup mods will work on any stock based ROM I think. (Let me know :good
The standard 12 pngs used by LG for the popup variations are the ones modded. LG has ALL of them in drawable-xxhdpi in white, which makes it an easy mod.
I've reserved a few of the first posts, perhaps I can create an index of posts with interesting and useful mods - to make them easy to find.
To All users - It is your phone - you decide what happens too it - make a BACKUP before you flash anything.
That said, I test everything I make on my phone (how else do I get those screenshots ) before it goes on here and will try and help where I can if you have any problems.
Some of mine as a starter.
Downloads are on my Dev-Host - please read descriptions.
I will add more screenshots of the mod zips as I make them.

Good Day trabucaire - yes those can all be installed - I would prefer to help you do it than just provide a zip, so as soon as time permits I'll put a guide together.
As a starter - those would all have to be replaced in LGSystemUI.apk in two folders drawable-xhdpi and drawable-xxhdpi.
If you have the icons you want and can use 7Zip to replace - you can try following this guide here.

@reemar - perhaps you could try following the same guide I pointed trabucaire too and see if you can make your own mod for your phone.
The ICONS you want to change are all in LGSystemUI.apk in the res/drawable-xxhdpi folder.
You can pull the old ones from the 7.1 apk and drop them into the 7.2 LGSystemUI.
I think this is exactly what xda is all about - make your own mods or at least try - we will help.

Edit: Just as good - almost - using the attachments button - shows a small thumbnail of the pic - we can 'click' on it to open it if required.

Hello everyone I know this thread is pointed out specifically for the PardusHD rom and well d802 devices but I was wondering if maybe someone can help me with the following problem :
I am in the process of trying to add a custom logo or banner if you prefer to the lgsettings about phone but I ran into a bump in the road, I know you need to deodex/decompile make your changes/recompile/reodex and your done, the changes made are as follows:
-add logo.xml to lgsettings/res/layout which will point out to where the new logo is
-add logo.png to lgsettings/res/drawable don't really need an explanation here
-edit device_info_settings.xml in lgsettings/res/xml whit the following line <PreferenceScreen android:layout="@layout/logo" android:key="od_logo" /> right after xmlns:android="http://schemas.android.com/apk/res/android">
recompile create flashable zip with original in case of bootloops and flash, after rebooting and going into setting>about phone there is no logo but I know that sometimes the logo is placed in settings>about phone>software version and when I try to go to it I just get a quick settings force close and then the settings restart inside the about phone so my question is do you know what might be going wrong, if you need any information from me like the lines in logo.xml or anything related just let me know and I can get you the information
