Look cm10.1 on my T2

Update
Alright
Are these official updates? and is it safe to flash it though odin?
I don't want to brick my 7.0 after I did it with my 8.9 A few months ago.
I had clock mod and installed the wrong mod by mistake on the 8.9 obviously I don't know how to use it right lol
And as long as it also dosent void the warranty and brick it I will do the update.

Huh, the threadstarter owns a Galaxy Tab 2 7.0-inch?
You might have misread his original comments, he actually meant his Galaxy Tab 2 was a replacement for his earlier 8.9 inch tablet.
Anyway, back to the point, Jelly Bean has been out for Galaxy Tab 2 for a rather long time already, mostly version 4.1.1 or 4.1.2 depending on the region. Samsung has commented that version 4.2 will be the last update for the Glaaxy Tab 2 range.

Sorry the Modell number P73110?
It confused me sorry guys, @op please remove the 7 from 73110.

Ok.
Is it safe to flash firmware from other regions? (im from australia)

Should I root again or not?
I Had A Temptation to Install a Custom ROMs On My last Device Voided Warranty And Bricked The emmc Chip.
Might Be Best Not To Be Safe.

Bump
So Is It Safe Go Flash A ovefseas Copy?

Ya go.

I might just wait for the update in australia, I'm not taking another chance And I birck again lol.
And they have no info in there database.

I think about it.
Australia wont get the Update Though For A While yet.
Have You Done The Update?
Edit:
OK I do the update I don't see why it would brick it unless I parition the Motherboard chip, I trust yous and do it now.
Thanks :.)

Ok I flashing the UK 4.1 Version. I'm waiting for it to download.
So what would I flash though when it completed downloading? would ti be the .md5 in the pda section?

Apparently it voids your warrantly, Flashing the stock OS. Its not worth it.

Oopps!!!!
I did not notice that a different model !!! Sorry
Has anyone installed this update yet? I want to try it on my 6210 but still cautious since I haven't heard anyone post on here.
Flashing this system pull would be incredibly stupid. It will almost certainly end in a soft or hard brick.
That's right......... So, does anyone flash it?
I'm really groped to flash it mmmhhh

Could be extremly dangerous, processors are not the same. Cant imagine it even booting.
You know Chris, if I only knew I won't totally brick my device... I'll really test it! As you said the "only" real difference is the CPU.
Sent from my Galaxy Note with DarkyROM 3.3
I would give a 60% chance you could Odin back to stock without major issues. If this leak has a .pit file, you would defenitely need the correct one for your device to Odin back.
Im more interested in that developer 3g unit that was leaked. I think that really could have helped quite a bit.
i got a gtab2 7.0 today. gt p3113 model made in korea. i can verify it has ics and a 3.0.8? forgot the exact kernel but it's updated. can a stock aosp rom be flashed on it with the only difference afaik, gtab/4430 soc and gnex has 4460soc. should be good eh?
Yours should have a TI OMAP processor. Not even remotely close.

yes i know it doesn't have exynos chipset. since information is so vague about a few things at the moment i was just wondering how well gnex roms and kernels would play nice with gtab. and how do you get into fastboot on the gtab?
If the Tab 2 is like the Tab Plus, fastboot won't work. For disaster recovery you'll need CWM Recovery for adb or have to use Kies/Odin/Heimdall.

So no bootloader unl9ck? What a crock of ****. Good thing i only paid $150 for this. Its ok but i can see its bogged down because samsung neutered it with their crap.

[Q] Will it be possible to revert to ICS from JB?

Hello!
Being a newbie, I would like to get some feedback from the more experienced users in this great forum. As JB seems to be just around the corner for the N8010 series I'm interested in learning whether it will be possible to revert to ICS from JB if that's wanted/needed for any reason. I personally find Samsung devices to be 'flexible' when it comes to flashing ROM/firmware via Odin, which is great compared to other brand tablets I've had my hands on. The reason for my title question is that my local Samsung support centre (Sweden) tells me there is no going back once JB is installed. Do you think this is a fact or merely something they have to say to all customers according to some policy? From what I understand there is no bootlocker or signature match (correct me if I'm wrong here) on our devices under ICS, and I don't see any reason why Samsung should introduce something like that under JB which should stop the possibility if reverting. Anybody who knows or have any thoughts?
Rgds,

Its easy. Just flash an oficial ics fw with odin, I already did this and I had no problem. Just get the fw for your region from sammobile.

Saw no post anywhere and its E1 but it's one day newer than E2
With new firmware, beweent change log number and build date, which one is more acxurate to indicate that is a newer firmware? Thanks
Sent from my GT-I9505 using Tapatalk 2
Not sure why everyone talks about build date.
The changelog is going to be your one guarantee that a firmware is in anyway different or identical to the one you already have
Quite often build dates might be different because of scheduling of the coding etc

Thanks for this. As a new comer to the Android world and having just got my S4, I note this is the firmware on my phone (online import to Australia). However, could you confirm for me:
this is a link to the Stock ROM should I need to return the original OS,
that despite this, I can still follow published methods for rooting my phone (eg "Root the Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505 on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean using Motochopper tool",
there is no problem with me moving to a British based Custom ROM such as described here "Update Galaxy S4 I9505 to official XXUAMDM Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Firmware", and finally
Does the region software is designed for (eg Hong Kong vs Europe) have an impact on the phone's functionality and hardware abilities?
Many thanks

I wish somebody would have mirrored.. HotFile sucks
Yep
Really don't understand why they keep uploading them on hotfile, when there are far better alternatives.. or why not they could even make a torrent for the most desired builds.
Anyway.. thanks!
Now just have to wait 2 hours for this to dw despite having a 100mbps connection.

Galaxy tab 2 install question.

I just got a galaxy tab 2 7" and was wondering do I have to have a computer to update to a higher version of the android operating system. Now it's 4.0.1 I believe. Thanks for any help and also is there anything I can download that doesn't need a computer?

Thanks for the reply I read some of the attached thread and it said the device must be rooted. The tab is not rooted. I don't have a pc to root the tablet.
You should have an over the air (OTA) update available to either 4.1 or 4.2.2.
Just go into settings>About device>Software Update

The last post makes a good point you should have an ota available. The latest version is 4.2.2

I checked it and it is 4.1.2. If I want to update it to the latest is there an ota version or do I have to do it on a computer.

If you tried that and it's the newest version then the only other way is rooting it. You have which version of the tab? Meaning what model number
