Works great!!
The dialer looks a bit weird... Not the right holo style. But else great.
And if you make the people app inverted it will be perfect.

Doc, did you figure out a way to mod the AOSP MMS apk to be able to send/receive MMS on Touchwiz? I've been trying to port the AOSP apk to the AT&T model and, from the research I've done, I've found the following:
(a) It looks like the applicable MMS smali files that would normally have to be moved from the AOSP mms-common.jar to framework2.jar are now in mms-common.jar already on the S4...which looks right as you included the jar in your flashable zip.
(b) From what I know, SecTelephonyProvider.apk has to be modified using an AOSP TelephonyProvider.apk for the MMS to be functional. So my question is, did you modify SecTelephonyProvider.apk already in your ROM? Or is there some other modification done on the MMS.apk that allows MMS sending/receiving?
I'm dying to use the AOSP MMS apk, but I just can't figure out how to get MMS working on Touchwiz. Thoughts?

Yes, mms fully functional. Use the attched jar file in your framework folder and you be fine.

Interesting...I did that (following your instructions from the OP), but I'm still not having any luck. The application itself works great, except for the sending/receiving MMS messages. Just gets stuck at "sending".
So just to make sure...I do not need to be using a modified SecTelephonyProvider.apk from your ROM to make this work?

Rasbeanjelly Theme
Hey everyone, Is there a theme for Theme Chooser, like the UI from Rasbeanjelly? Not the 4.2 rasbeanjelly, i mean the 4.1 rasbeanjelly where only settings, phone, popups were themed. Greetz, AzN Gesendet von meinem Nexus S mit Tapatalk 2
[MOD] Messaging.apk with no message limit and "sent time" (JB 4.1.2)
Hi guys, here is the Messaging.apk from stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I changed the conversation message limit from 1000 messages to 9999 and changed the displayed date in threads from "received time" to "sent time", hope you'll enjoy. Go one time to "settings" and set the message limit to 9999, then you are done. Flash from CWM or extract the apk manually, just as you need it. This is completely safe, but I recommend to backup your old Messaging.apk first, just for your convenience. Caution: If you are on Omar's ROM, you should delete MmsDependencies.apk from /system/app manually to avoid weird conflicts! Update 31-3: new Version (hidden database limit removed) Update 12-4: provided a CWM-package (MessagingNoLimit.zip) Update 13-4: added a grey and a black themed version (flashable zip) with a NEW ICON, see pictures Update 14-4: added CWM-package with a BLACK stock JB framework-res.apk, for the ones who like to have a real black SMS app. You'll never see the gradient blueish background style again, this is for all apps. You don't need this package, it is optional.
Update: not that Motorola had a message limit of 1000 messages max per conversation, they had a max database limit of 10.000 messages in the whole, so that the oldest threads were removed automatically. I removed that limit so now you have 9999 messages per thread and no database limit. Updated Messaging.apk in opening post, enjoy.
Update: I provided a CWM package, enjoy.
works istfles shaftenberg said: Update: I provided a CWM package, enjoy. Click to expand... Click to collapse Work on non rooted and locked razr i ?
It's an Clockworkmod . zip and you have to flash CWM first. To flash CWM you'll have to unlock your Bootloader! Gesendet von meinem XT890 mit Tapatalk 2
You can move the apk to /system/app manually if you don't have CWM, but you must be rooted then too.
Double post, but: Updated OP with a grey themed version and a new launcher icon (the one from CM). Is anyone interested in a light theme? Or completely black? Personally I prefer some shades to distinguish messages better...
I'm in for an complete blacked out Version Black is beautiful Gesendet von meinem XT890 mit Tapatalk 2
HSD-Pilot said: I'm in for an complete blacked out Version Click to expand... Click to collapse done, see OP There's only one thing I can't find: Every window has a gradient background. It seems, this is not in Messaging.apk but in framework or SystemUI - any clue where to look at? I'm asking because the "compose" window has the old gradient and the compose part of the message list screen is gradient too. Is this Holo standard? [edit] Found it. In order to get the app (and all others) completely black, you need to change background_holo_dark.png in framework-res.apk, folder /res/drawable-nodpi - so, what do you suggest? I will definitely update my lockscreen mod with this, but if someone wants completely black Messaging.apk but no lockscreen changes, there will be a dilemma... Ideas?
Hey, thanks for the Black Version. Personally I can live with the App, like it looks now Gesendet von meinem XT890 mit Tapatalk 2

I'm back home and on my way to test. Of everything goes well, I will include it into the Blackout pack on HF. I'll post some Screenshots when I'm ready Gesendet von meinem XT890 mit Tapatalk 2

Stock Deodexed messaging app Can u please re-upload the unmodified yet deodexed messaging app ?
Here you go, stock JB 4.1.2 unmodified but deodexed.

Thanks for the mod. I really like simply looking but efective things and this is exactly what I wanted to have in my razr. One note I'd mention though is that I coudn't install it in cwm, it just deleted my original message app so I've had to install it manually and works fine now. I'm on Omars rom but there is high probability that this issue is caused by the ugly thing between chair and keyboard  .
