Case Mate selling their Tough cases for $9.99

Guys,
I'm a HUGE fan of Case Mate and their Tough Cases. Myself use one, recommended atleast 8 friends I know who are either using a Desire HD, Nexus One or an iPhone 4 and they all have Case Mate's toughcase

However, they sent the pieces together in 1 box labeled Tough Case, already combined, as if I bought them as a single product.

These remain out of stock. Some of the skins can be bought separately, but the shells aren't back yet.

I was considering giving it a try.

Just spoke with a Case-Mate representative over the phone and was told that the Nexus One Tough Case is now discontinued and they do not have any more in stock. All they have left are the soft silicone inner skins that pair with the outer shell.
Kind of sad that a great phone that really isn't that old at all is already pretty tough to find good accessories for.

I think about using a case like that for my N1. at the moment i am using the original nexus one case. but of course, it is not very safe compared to this case.

I broke down and bought one of these cases on Amazon because I was unable to find one elsewhere. No one carries them and as my last post stated, they're discontinued by the manufacturer. Received the case yesterday and all I can say is that if you're on the fence about getting one, DO IT. The case fits PERFECTLY and feels very high quality. It doesn't gather an excessive amount of lint, and even comes with a nice microfiber cloth and clear screen protector. I already dropped the phone once today and the case did an absolutely beautiful job protecting the phone. Really too bad these aren't being made anymore.

My only complaint about this case is the soft silicon skin under the trackball gets loose quickly. It still stays on, but doesn't look or feel as good.

Well just placed my order with amazon, problem is they wont ship to NZ so have a mate over in the US that comes back in a week or so, getting it sent to him and then he will bring it back

Well damn, looks like I got one just in time at the beginning of January! And it's a really great case. I sure feel like my Nexus One is safe in there.

Slim case

I love the design of this phone so I want the slimmest possible case I can find. Can anyone recommend a very slim case?

You could get the official ones by HTC. They take minimalism to a whole new level bit the downside is its so expensive for a flimy piece of plastic. Or the feather cases by Incipio.

i ordered the black & gray ROCK cases and the case mate barely there case. the ROCK cases look nice but are definitely made for the International X. although they fit the One XL, the camera opening is about1-2 mm lower at the top. not a big issue for me at all. however, the case-mate fits perfectly and looks best! i like how the sides are angled for a perfect fit, e.g., fits the One XL's angled sides like a glove. the obvious downside is the limited protection, e.g., exposed top and bottom.
i sold both ROCK cases to a friend who has the International X and kept the case-mate. i added a couple of pics that (hopefully) show how slim and form-fitting the case-mate case is...

im going with the amzer tpu luxe arigle case had it with captivate and like it and did its job and looks good

Has anyone gotten one of these yet? Looks nice, I like the texture on the back. I've never heard of this site, reputable?
I got this Speck case from the AT&T store when I bought my phone. I hated it in 2 days. It's way too thick, makes the phone huge and heavy.

I liked the case for the whole 5 seconds it lasted me
Funny part is that I was planning on spray painting it black cos that case only comes in orange/blue. And while i was taking the case off it snapped on me. Good thing is AT&T warranties out accessories for a whole year. I have a feeling im going to be using that warranty a lot.
You get what you ask for looking for a slim case. They don't offer any protection at all. Which for me is fine. I just don't like how hot the phone gets without a case. I ended up getting the full body zagg.

i broke my orange version of this case too. if you like to swap out cases every other day (like me) this case may not be for you because you will eventually break it, no doubt about it. i've been luckier with my blue case as it hasn't snapped on me yet.

It's not the most "minimalist" case out there but it seems sturdy enough for repeated application and removal (which is important to me since I use multiple cases). It also comes with a holster, which most slim cases do not. It also looks like it offers great protection for the camera.

So the case-mate barely there doesn't specify on amazon whether its for the international or att version. However I have heard that it fits ours just fine. Can anyone verify?

Received my Amzer Shellster yesterday. I can confirm that it fits the AT&T version of the HOX.
Pros

Front lip keeps screen from touching when face down
Comes with a holster

Minamilistic case means it provides less protection than traditional cases
Does not cover top and bottom
Soft touch finish can be a little slippery
While the holster uses "pressure" to hold the phone it does not have an actual mechanism to secure it
Overall, the case is really nice for what it's meant to do. It is advertised as a slim case and it provides all the protection that it entails.
I have included some pics in the attachments showing the cutouts and fit, as well as the holster and front lip.

Purchased this as well. Very small and seems to do the trick. I wish it had a stand though.

[Review] Nillkin TPU-Case

Hello all,
Just wanted to share my experience with the Nillkin case (found on eBay, lots of sellers selling it). It comes in around $12 with free shipping. I got the clear black one.
It comes in a decent packaging, and it includes the case, screen protector, and a screen cleaning dongle.
The case itself is actually very nice. The back is actually a sandy/matte texture, and the side has grooves on it to enhance your grip on the phone. It doesn't add much dimensions to it, as it feels still relatively the same size as it is naked. It has openings for the headphone jack, USB port, camera/LED, mic, and speaker. The power button and volume controls doesn't have an opening, but you can still easily press on it with the outlined placement on the case. Speaking of this, I actually found that after putting on the case, it makes it easier for me to reach the power button to unlock the phone, as it increases the area you can use to push it. Also, it contours to the camera, so even if you rest it on its back, you will be resting on the case and not the hump from the camera.
The fit of the case is not perfect, as it is meant for the international version of the One X. It still fits...just some parts you will find it to off by a few millimeters, which is especially noticeable on the camera, and speaker, but good news, it doesn't block it. Other than that, its a very good fit, and doesn't attract too much lint in my pocket. Also, the case wraps around the front edges, so even when you put the phone face down, you will not be placing it on the screen (unlike the Nillkin hard-case).
The screen protector is a different story. I'm not sure if it came with the wrong one or not, but its very small, and doesn't cover the whole screen...at all. Its also a finger print magnet, and you would have to wipe it down a few times a week.
Overall, I'm happy with the case, but will probably replace the screen protector down the line with something else.

i have their hardshell case and i must say its one of the best cases Ive bought for any phone ive owned. Unfortunately , just like your TPU version , it is meant for the international one x so it doesnt fit perfectly. Its not awful but due to that I am using my diztronic case most of the time.

Can we get a big pic of the back just so we can see how opaque the material is please. Just want to see how strong the logo shows if at all. But thanks for the review.

Screen protectors are made smaller to fit curved displays
Most of the screen protectors for curved displays are cut smaller to prevent bubbles at the edges. This has been confirmed by the screen protection manufacturers in the world. Don't be surprise if you find they are smaller for HTC One X, Samsung Galaxy S3, and other curved display phones.

I too picked up a clear Nillkin TPU case for my AT&T HOX. I personally must say that it is BY FAR my favorite TPU case for the HOX so far. I am a major cell phone case whore too, btw. LOL
If this Nillkin case doesn't fit the AT&T HOX right I certainly can't tell. It looks perfectly fine to me. I especially like how it makes pressing the power button SO much easier than any other generic TPU case I've bought. It actually makes it SUPER EASY to press the power button whereas other TPU cases didn't seem to line up quite right making me have to try to press the power button more than 3+ times each time I lock or unlock it. After liking this case so much I went ahead & decided to order the Super Shield case as well as the hard plastic fashion case - both by Nillkin on eBay. Can't wait to try those out too!

How does it fit around the sides? The case I bought was very loose around the sides and made the volume rockers impossible to press. And the top wasn't contoured enough to press the power button easily.

The Nillkin case is actually once of higher quality cases that I have gotten from eBay. The fit is great as tech mentioned.
Tech: the screen protector u recieved, is it way too small for the screen as well?

I bought one myself on EBay and couldn't be happier. Excellent looks, fit and quality. It feels very nice in the hand as well. I don't think I'd ever switch to another case.

I actually ended up finding an even better clear TPU case on Amazon. It's pretty similar to the Nillkin but this one is made by Diztronic and it's on Amazon. It's got a matte finish on the back and cut outs for ALL the ports. Plus it's made specifically for the AT&T One X not the international one. Just Google 'Diztronic matte back TPU' and you should be able to find it on Amazon.

Saw that and it looks good! Only thing is I wish there were not cutouts for the volume and power. I'm not into that depression where the cutouts are when you reach for the buttons But I do like that it is actually made for the AT&T One X because I hate how the speaker and camera are off alignment on basically every other case.

I have an htc one x with a quad-core processor and tegra 3 which is fully unlocked version, i want to know its version meaning if its international or not. I really love a tpu nillkin case. Please search this case on ebay :

I had a UAG case for my S4 (actually got the white one because I thought it looked like a Stormtrooper ), and I loved it. My phone survived several small drops with no problems.

I've ordered one (the black one). Its available on tuesday on amazon in my country. Since I had that on my previous phone its my go to case for every phone since then. Love every aspect of this case like precise, durability, looks, protect, grip and its very easy to push the covered buttons unlike some other cases.

I used to sell UAG (Managed a verizon store)
Gotta shill for them a bit and say prob the best case I ever owned. (liked it better than life proof and otter both)
They gave me one for free for taking a test about their product (fairly common)
I would buy one but I wont spend more than 15 bucks on a phone case.

If you want to show off the great looks of the S6, go for the Ash or Maverick, which have clear backs (Ash being darker tinted).

I know they were out on the site, but I got mine off of Amazon, they have multiple colors. Went with white to match my white S6. Great case, I've used UAG since they first came out and I had my iPhone 5. Love the slimmness and they offer great protection, I did a lot of research and it led me to the UAG simply because TPU is a fantastic material.

Where are the cases?

Pre ordered the Moto X Pure. But looking for a nice tpu or bybrid case. Usually, there's a lot of cases available for a phone before the phone releases. But not the Pure/Style. I know there's a a few on amazon etc... But those cases are junk. Cheap made and will fall apart in a week. I see that incipio has one and ugly otterbox. But never really liked incipio and otterbox. But where are, seidio, Griffin, Belkin, UAG, Spigen???

I doubt UAG will have a case for the moto x pure but I would love it if they did.

Most of the high quality, big name companies didn't make for the previous 2nd Generation model, so they probably aren't for this. Maybe they have some kind of pay to play scheme and Moto isn't paying.

Well, for right now, I went for the MoKo. Less then $10. Hope it will hold till UAG or Spigen releases one. Or Supcase...

People seem to like the variant of it for the Moto G or whatever. The Amazon reviews are about the best feedback you're going to get for the moment. I bought a number of $3-4+shipping cases myself. I don't feel like buying a $30 Incipio case at the moment... And my old phone is still using a cheap case I put on it back in 2012, so I've had good experiences with the cheaper ones anyway.

It will hold. I have had that case for quite a few phones. It is just a bit bulky. I like it for phones under 5 inches and it was OK on the 2014 moto X.

Has anyone seen any cases like the flip shell for the Moto G? Most of these add to the already bulky look of the phone (and don't protect the screen).

I ordered this case before my MXP arrived and had it waiting. I wish it was a little snugger fit, but it'll do for $8 shipped until something better comes along.

I just got my Moko. I'm not a fan. So far it seems well made, but the holster is backwards when I wear it on my left side.
In addition, it's off-center, so I'm always putting the phone in the wrong way, and the phone can't go in with screen facing out, which makes the the much more stable holster clipstand useless.

Waiting for my SUPCASE Hybrid to come in. Looking into getting a Seidio Note 4 or Note 5 holster since the Note 4/5 is about the same size as MXPE. I think there is a 0.02mm difference between Surface version and Dilex.

Just received the Incipio DualPro case. Fit is good, buttons respond well.
Decent dual layer protection. Back is a little slick/slippery.
I'll use it for a while and see how I like it,

I got the incipio octane and i really like it. The incipio dual pro is too slick to hold on to though

Are there any bumpers besides the one that comes in the box..preferably TPU? The one that comes with the phone is a hard plastic that makes the vibration super loud on a desk, but I also don't want to cover the case with a full back.

Are there any bumpers besides the one that comes in the box..preferably TPU? The one that comes with the phone is a hard plastic that makes the vibration super loud on a desk, but I also don't want to cover the case with a full back.
Anybody found one?

Thanks for the link, finally a nice bumper case that will protect my phone and I can still enjoy my red leather back.
