Help! Can't reinstall Google Play Store after noobishly Uninstalling it. - General Questions and Answers

Hi guys.
Here's the issue: I used Lucky Patcher to disable updates to the Google store after uninstalling updates (ended up restoring to the Market app, of course). Well I thought I'd be able to install a modded version I got from the XDA forum (fail) after performing the previous task. Long story short, I uninstalled the Market app, thinking then I'd be able to install the modded apk, but I can't install it in anyway that I've tried (I also tried app injector...) I factory reset and another FAIL. I need to change my user name to FailFactory! Please help me get Google at back. I'm mad desperate.
Thanks,
FailFactory

Did you try searching for playstore apk installation file from.google? wouldn't downloading ans installing it solve your problem?
Please hit Thanks if I helped

I've tried installing the regular version of the play store, but to no avail. I'm thinking it has something to do with disabling play store updating with lucky patcher before I uninstalled, which I have no clue how to reverse. I can't sync my gmail from the stock gmail app or get my contacts from my gmail backup because I can't sign in from my devices account & sync settings. Sux

My market.....she is gone!

Hey all, I'm running 2.3.3 Cyanogen 7 mod and when I first installed the mod I had no market. So I re installed it and the market was in there, I have since followed one of the solutions on the samsung galaxy forum regarding different themed markets and how to set them up.
This may seem stupid however I was able to get it working previously before updating to 2.3.3, in short I tried to install zip from SD card and the market has dissapeared and no longer is installed, I tried to install it again and even downloaded the stock and tried to install it as a .apk but it just wont work. I don't want to re-install 2.3.3 if possible but can't see any other options?
I've tried searching for any other threads about this but couldn't find any which actually gave an answer, has anybody seen or had this issue before?

http://goo-inside.me/gapps/ if you can't find them, choose the CM7 version in the table at the top.
More specifically you should download this : http://goo-inside.me/gapps/gapps-gb-20110307-signed.zip and install the zip file via cwm recovery

Hey guys, thanks for those speedy responses - this is why I love the XDA forum!!
Sadly installing the Google apps didn't work either, all looked to install but after clearing the cache and fixing permissions (just to be sure) there was no market installed when I rebooted
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
Just after flashing the rom you must reboot and in your first reboot login with your Google account.

Ah so I do have to reflash the Tom, bummer - that's what I was hoping to not have to do :-(
If its gotta be done then its gotta be done I spose, cheers for all the help.

Cod ball, reflash your rom without wiping anything, after that flash gapps and reboot.

Android Makret wont update to Google Play

Im currently on Richie390's MIUI 2.3.24 rom and having a little problem and anyone using that build or knows anything help would be useful. Last weeks build my market updated to the google play store and was working fine and everything, i then updated my rom to the more current rom which is the 2.3.24 and now my google play store has reverted back to android market. i tried downloading the apk and installing manually but it keeps saying install unsucessful. i also tried the clear data and open market and it should update on its own but none of them work. Any help?
Why does it matter? Significant changes are the icon change and name.

Just something that bothers me a little and I liked the interface of how they setup the "My Apps" screen.

Just use a root explorer and overwrite the old vending apk in system/app?
I've never used an MIUI rom but I'm assuming you still flash gApps zip like the other roms, you could unzip the gApps you're using, copy the updated vending apk into the app folder and rezip the files and flash it

make a backup in CWM.
then boot your rom, and use something to remove the market, or just delete the .apk
try re-installing it then
if you still cant get it working, you could always try pushing it to the phone via ADB from your computer... but that seems like it would be a bit too much work for just a few non necessary changes.
Appreciate all the help, ill give some of the advice a try and see if maybe one of em works LOL

Only other way rom will auto update market to 3.5.1.5 is if your on a ics rom. Your not missing much if your not on latest market tho.. Its a mess

I'm on a stock based ROM and I have the newest market.
It isn't only for ICS.
Tried everything to no avail, I'm using Richie's miui rom, could just be the rom itself =/

BTW, whoever said there weren't any differences between Market versions hasn't played around with it much. The latest version of Google Market, hmm, Play, is a mess, especially when comes the time to figure out how to display purchased apps separately from all the other crap I may have had the misfortune of trying in the past. There is also no way I can find to filter the previously-installed app list: a simple alphabetical sort option would greatly help.

You flashed a gapps package? You can't really install market from the apk. You can force it through root explorer but just flashing gapps again should solve it. Make sure it's a gapps package with play already packaged. Otherwise give it a day, it should update itself

Play market

I am trying to buy an app from the market, but it tells me there is an error. I cleared cache, wiped app data, checked my cc info from my computer. I can buy stuff via my pc, but not my phone. Thoughts? Suggestions?

I Have no options to downgrade or remove updates. I can disable and reenable it, Which makes me accept terms and conditions again but still gives me an error code when trying to buy something

you might want to grab an older version of the market app from somewhere, there are plenty of Gapps packages available on the internet.
It's what worked for me when i couldn't install anything from the market. Restore an old backup, and re-upgrade. That fixed it.
The way I did it was through clearing the cache in settings and uninstalling updates. It worked for me after that.

Went into script manager and tried to uninstall, it wouldn't let me. It asked what I wanted to do with the file, and gave options, one is them being install, so installed vender and phonsky again. Went into apps, play was twice is normal size, had the option to uninstall updates, I did so, and cleared cache. Nothing but an error.

it would be good if you post wich error Google Play tell you, then if someone already fixed that can help you.
I've got a problem with google play, it doesn't install anymore any app, free or shareware, so i removed market and installed an older .apk found on the web, from then on, also after the re-update it started again to work. Also if your phone is rooted you can avoid the automatic update.
I hope this could be useful
Sooooo using rom toolbox, I uninstalled play. I grabbed a very old school market, it worked, but it didn't want to update to play. I junked that, I grabbed inverted market (black and blue) and still the same issue.

Play Store, YouTube crashing

Hey guys,
I was wondering if I could get help with my issue here. I have an unlocked bootloader, stock 1.85 (previously rooted) and I cannot figure out how to get the Play Store to work. As a matter of fact, even the NOVA is crashing. I already did a full wipe and the issue is still happening.
Thanks
