[Q] Galaxy Note 10.1 - Next Genration? - Galaxy Note 10.1 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Has there been any news of the next generation Gallaxy Note 10.1 - e.g. a 10.1 Note II?
Thanks.
Alan

No it hasn't and it probably won't for at least a couple of more months. Since Samsung recently released the 8 inch version they probably won't make another Note 10 until the 8 is at least a couple of months old. Then there's the new series 7 with digitizer and windows, no in time for the christmas shopping is my guess.

I hope they don't release an upgraded Note. I'd rather they released a bigger Note, or a keyboard dock for the Note.. :/

Axel,
Thanks for the info.
Alan

Hi Alan,
as far as I know, there will be a Galaxy Tab 3 (based on Intel Atom Z2560 aka Clovertrail) mid of 2013 but no next gen of Galaxy Note 10.1 available this year.
Greetz,
cee.

The note 2 10.1 is already out...
Nvm...at&t lied to me, ended up only being the tab2 10.1 they are giving a discount on with an s4

[Q] The Whole Samsung abandoning Galaxy Tab 7.7 & Galaxy Note 10.1 issue

Can any knowledgeable person tell us all why Samsung created 2 great tablets and then seemingly just abandoned them after only 6 to 8 months? Those two great tablets I'm referring to are the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I've read up on this but, still I can't understand why this had to happen.
I personally own two variations of the Tab 7.7 (the P6800 3G & the i815 4G versions) and if not for Cyanogenmod or Paranoid Android I would have no support for these two cool devices. Samsung just gave up on the Tab 7.7 after about 8 months. WHY IS THAT?
If anyone else out there shares my curiosity and frustration please share your thoughts. Oh can someone tell me how to get the 3G and 4G radios working on Paranoid Android version 3+? Because right now I'm stuck with Wi-Fi and that really sucks when you don't live in the USA.

Samsung Premiere 2013 will announce a New device confirmed

This is an official teaser image released by samsung today which reveals that smsung will conduct Samsung Premiere an official launch party at London in 20th June 2013.According to teaser samsung is about to release a new device which is combination of GALAXY and ATIV from above teaser images it will most probably a device which is in between tablet and ultrabook which may become a revolutionary one.Galaxy series are Android devices while ATIV is windows 8 related device so there will be most probably two variants that is windows 8 and Android jellybean model
:highfive:

Most definitively the Note. Samsung's Note tablets are their premium class ones. The Tab tablets are the middle-to-low range ones (and really aren't great at all).
Here is a comparison table, if you want a breakdown on specs: http://www.phonearena.com/phones/co...msung-Galaxy-Tab-3-10.1-inch/phones/8139,7870
You'll notice that the Note 10.1 2014 Edition far outshines the latest Tab 3. It has a far better processor, has better battery life, a far better screen, a better camera, offers premium software not available in the Tab, and of course, has the fantastic S-pen that everyone raves about. It also has better long-term use, as Samsung updates its flagship models far more often than their non-flagship models.
If you want the best Android tablet (and arguably the best tablet in general), the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition is hands-down the one for you.
If you're looking for a middle-to-low end device, I would not recommend a Galaxy Tab but rather something from another company.
If you don't care for S-pen features, and just want a tablet for entertainment, running stock android, then I'd recommend a Nexus - either the 7" or the upcoming 10" tablet.

[Q] Is Samsung Doing Too Much?

Ok so they just released the Galaxy Note 8.0, announced new tabs and the new Note 10.1 2014 edition, and now they've got these PRO series tablets out....
Is it me, or is Samsung doing way too much at once?
Don't get me wrong, the Note PRO looks awesome, but this is a little overboard. Some devices will be inevitably left behind on updates, and this only intensifies the problem..... What do you think?
I think that Samsung has enough invested that they would rather make 12 "OK" tablets then one "All in One" device to try and gain a bigger market footprint. This allows them to try and pull in more people due to the wide range of options. Don't like a 12 inch tablet? well there's also 10 and 8~ inch options. Want a S-Pen? Well there's the note series for that which comes in all sizes.
Personally there are only 2 comfortable sized tablets; 10 inch ones for school and work, and 7 inch for media and play.
I think the 12 inch tablet is basically Samsung giving us the closest thing to a desktop or shall I say "NOTEbook" for an android tablet. Like the Original note this could be revolutionary or it could flop. If anyone can make 12 inch+ tablets it's Samsung or Apple. Just my 2 cents

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk[/QUOTE] @ddggttff3 I see your point. Man they're just so all over the place. Makes competition seem irrelevant and updates for most devices unlikely. Yea, I think 12 inches is just outrageous. May as well include the dock by default.
@md1008 I guess so, but they need to start including keyboard docks and feasible hardware instead of all this bundled crapware allegedly worth hundreds of bucks.
I feel nowadays that they are only flooding the market, IMHO. Some are great products, for sure, but too much is just too much. You don't know anymore what to buy. It's like they made a tablet today, tomorrow they will make a new one but only difference is that 3G is now 4G. Why they didn't made the 4G in the first place and sell only this 4G-model? It would be much easier to update them, when they have less devices to update.
If I need to choose a tablet for me, from Samsung, I wouldnt know what to buy. When I look a some webstore to buy a tablet there is a list:
tab2 7.0 wifi tab3 7.0 wifi tab3 7.0 wifi+3g tab3 8.0 wifi tab3 8.0 wifi+3g tab3 8.0 wifi+4g tab3 10.1 wifi tab3 10.1 wifi+4g tab3 10.1 wifi+3g note 8.0 wifi note 8.0 wifi+4g note 10.1 2014 wifi+4g note 10.1 2014 wifi nexus 10 tab3 kids 7.0 wifi .... WHAT??
If I hadnt ever used Android, I would be lost totally. And this was only devices made by Samsung. Wait a couple months and there will be more of them! (Pro's and Neo's and ...?) If you considering to buy a smaller one, you have already to choose between these:
(tab2 7.0)
tab3 7.0 wifi
tab3 7.0 wifi+3g
tab3 8.0 wifi
tab3 8.0 wifi+3g
tab3 8.0 wifi+4g
note 8.0 (spen)
Was it really necessary to make so many models? Do you think, you will get updates in the future? Nowadays I understand it quite well why people like Apple and they feel that Android is just a big mess. Well, of course, we know that the problem is not Android but manufacturers like Samsung who are only flooding markets with multiple devices.
So yes, I feel Samsung is doing just too much.
Samsung is doing too much.
They are going end up like SEGA if they don't slow down.

Lol I know right! It's a circus! The hardware differences aren't even very significant. They would build more Customer Loyalty if they supported devices long-term and marketed massive feature updates well. They did it with the 4.1 update, calling it a premium suite. Maybe it didnt work so well. =/
