Guide Updated

why don't you make a package file flashable root (SuperSU + BusyBox) to be more efficient

I have a question. After this root, stock recovery will be replaced by CWM. So is it possible to go back to stock recovery after rooting?? And If it is possible then will be noticeable by samsung if I go to samsung care??
I'm new in rooting....

Flashing and installing new roms from CWM is different??
Flashing and installing new roms from CWM is different?? I mean in case of installing from CWM, no flashing occurs?? May be its a dump like question but please answer..
1. I want to know the differences between flashing and installing roms from CWM
2. All are those attached files latest versions? i.e CWM, busybox & SuperSU?

When I flashed CWM now its shows a yellow triangle. So is it necessary to remove using the app before installing custom rom of yours or do that after rom installation???

It's not necessary to remove it, however, it's better to do so before any rom installation (just in case your rom installation went wrong and you needed to take your phone to samsung care/service center).

Thanks for the wonderful tutorial and effort!
Worked like a charm!
Cheers :good:

The problem must be in connection. It is not due to rooting.

Yes, it looks like bad wireless home network. Thanks for the info!
The method is easy and well constructed, but I want to add something else:
I think is better to add in step 4 - Copy SuperSU-v1.25.zip and BusyBox.zip to root of External SD of your Phone
Newbies will avoid to turn off their devices.
+1 thanks or thumbs up or etc. for ya ; )

Odin has two yellow box and hanging at setup connection

great!!! since you can enter download mode I am gonna say you the easiest way to get your phone back in running condition..
*Download ODIN (google for the download link or search here in forums)
*Download a stock firmware from samfirmware (www.sammobile.com/firmwares/) or from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1004647 and extract the downloaded file to .tar.md5
*Install samsung USB drivers.
*Get your phone into Download mode and connect it to PC via usb cable.
*Open ODIN and check if the com port section and turned yellow(this means your phone is recognised by ODIN).
*Once the port section is yellow open the PDA section in ODIN and point the downloaded stock firmware in it.(the firmware file should be of format "I9003DDLF2_I9003ODDLF2_I9003DDLE1_HOME.tar.md5").This format is just for example and it may vary depending on the stock ROM you dowloaded.
*Click the start button.
*Once finished the ODIN com port section will turn green and should report "PASS"
*Disconnect your phone and Power on.. wait for some time as its the first boot so it will take time so be patient.

tweeks are to to edit your build.prop and CWM(ClockWorkMOD) which allows you to create a backup point which you can restore via recovery and also let you flash ROM,MOD,etc and SuperUser is the app which comes into play after rooting which give root access to your phone/apps.
@themes:since you are on stock you can download any launcher like go launcher from market and download themes from there

I have downloaded the frankenstain rom for flashing,But when I try to enter in recovery mode The screen fades and restarting normally. Is there any other settings for installing a rom..?
BTW when I opens the CWM in my menu it shows 'this version of CWM manager should be used with CF-ROOT v5.0 or newer. It appears you are running on a different kernel. Various features have been disabled.' Is that the problem with the kernel i have rooted..?

To enter recovery mode you should press Volume UP+Home Button+Power Button.press it long enough till samsung logo passes by.. and even my screen fades when I try it manually... try it for 4-5 times till you enter in recovery and dont worry when screen fades, its not an issue...
maybe your kernel is not compatible with the present version of CWM and since its not compatible some features might have been disabled and its no big deal....Custom ROM is zip and should be flashed via recovery so that you can wipe data/cache/dalvik..

This guide is for the Australian samsung galaxy ace plus S7500T.
---------------------------------------------------------
1. Download 0din, it allows you to flash samsung devices.
2. Put the phone into download mode.. to do so, have the phone completely off and hold volume down + home button + power, then press up.
3. Connect phone via USB to computer and open odin, you should see the device come up, tick PDA and select the recovery.tar file attached, leave all other settings as is and flash.
4. Once flashed, to get to recovery mode, have the phone completely off push and hold volume up + volume down + home + power, you will enter custom recovery.
5. Extract rootme.zip on your computer and while your phone is connected and in custom recovery, execute runme.bat – this will root the phone.. you may need to run the batch file twice.

So now you should be running a custom recovery and have root access on your device.....
Flashing a custom ROM isn't too hard, though you will need to use the phones original boot.img with the new ROM for it to work.
Thank you very much, take some time looking for ways to rooting my s7500t. This is the first article I find where there is a functional description. Thanks again.
No worries, I know how hard it was for myself to figure out the process, as there is next to no information regarding our (t) model.

Doesn't work for me. Signature verification failed.
that supersu will work on anything... you just need to flash CWM...
So it must flash cwm first, is it will get yellow triangle and binary counter?
is there temporary cwm?
Sent from my GT-P6800 using Tapatalk 2
nope... we wont have yellow triangle or binary counter count... we are not note/note2/s3/s4
Thanks. So there is no yellow triangle or binary counter effect when flashing via odin for 7.7.

Any other way to inject cwm without using odin on pc? I'm trying to root this one but i need first to install cwm. I don't want to increase my flash counter.

True. We're in the same scenario and i thought they didn't care at all about users installing custom roms. One time, i go to their shop to service my unit because of software issues. I was surprised that they recommend me to flash my own unit using odin, even my unit is still under warranty. I think they are too lazy to flash a unit that is still under warranty because it covers it all (No pay). Another day i visit their store and i noticed their 2 tabs has Supersu on it. LOL.
This is is my 1st time to use odin pc to my tab. I frequently used mobile odin pro on my android devices. That's right! Flash to the max!

Below are the instructions i put together for myself when going to ICS, it should work for JB too. This is a link to my dropbox folder with all the files https://www.dropbox.com/sh/ncr4cya5mx8ieje/NKlP1C5naD It may be that your cwm file is corrupt so try downloading again.
Flash the "Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed.zip" directly in stock recovery 3e, no need to cwm:
How to do that?
- Download the Root_SuperSU.0.95.Only-signed.zip
- I will create Universal Root folder (Optional)
- Put the created folder at your External Micro SDcard
- Boot to recovery (Hold Power+Volume Up)
In official stock recovery 3e:
- Use Volume button to navigate to apply update from external storage. > View Image <
- After you choose apply update from external storage
- Press Power button to enter
- Volume button to navigate to the Universal Root folder. > View Image <

To install CWM using PC odin:
Power OFF your device
Boot into download mode by pressing and holding ‘volume down’ + ‘Power’ buttons until your device’s screen displays an yellow warning alert.
Press ‘volume up’ to confirm the download mode boot. Now, an Android logo with the ‘downloading’ text will appear.
Launch Odin executable on your PC.
After Odin launches successfully you need to connect the device to your computer via USB cable.
In Odin you should see the text ‘added’ displayed, which means that all drivers have been installed and you are free to move to the next step.
Go to Odin and click the button that says ‘PDA’. Browse for the CWM recovery .tar file
Next, press the ‘Start’ button and Odin will start to install ‘clockworkmod recovery’ on your device
When the install is finished, your device should restart and when the Samsung loading logo appears you need to disconnect the device from your PC. Odin will now say ‘PASS’ and that would be all. Your phone is now running the CWM Recovery image.

Need help just making sure

Hi, this is my first time rooting and installing a custom rom onto my phone and I just wanted make sure I didn't forget anything of do anything stupid...
Alright so I have a SG3, the Videotron Variant on 4.3 stock rom
I downloaded the drivers for my phone, am using the USB cable, and have installed Odin on my computer.
I followed this post : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1771687
and I downloaded the "Videotron image"
my following steps would be to
"Extract the root66 tar file from the .7z file you downloaded.
Put phone into download mode [ with phone off, hold vol. down + home + power ], connect to computer and open Odin.
once in odin click the PDA field and select the root66 tar you downloaded.
Leave Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time checked.
click start and
when done let phone reboot."
and third of all, i'd install ClockworkMod recovery then grab Rom Manager from the Play store and in the menu select to install ClockworkMod Recovery and then install a custom rom from there
Am I missing any steps? For example I was reading about the OTA update section and I didn't understand anything...
Thank you!
Hey, i am no expert but i can tell u one thing a lot of things happened with me when i tried to flash through odin. All sorts of error popped up and i had to search the internet for 2days to get it solved. Hence i would advice you to not go through odin. For custom roms i dont think you have to be rooted. I flashed my gts6102 via cwm my first time and i dont think i had rooted it before hand. Try to look for a flashable zip file for rooting and flash it via cwm

Don't you need a battery pull?
Try Framaroot and then install rom manager and load cwm from there.
Hey, i went into boot loop after an odin flash and got "invalid argument" error since my data partition could not be mounted. I found a zip file to flash via cwm recovery that install superuser.apk and the su file in bin from xda. So i have recovered from the odin problem and have a custom rom xduosv3, rooted and running currently on my gt s6102

Does the CWM Recovery use any space on the device or card after?
Hi There,
It goes all well for these steps..
How to root ?
-Open Odin 3.07.exe
-Put your phone into Download Mod
(Power button-Home button-Volume down button,at same time)
-When you enter in Download Mod, you should get blue box on Odin 3.07
-Uncheck Auto Reboot option
-Go to PDA and find your recovery, then click on OK
-After you checked everything click on Start
-It should take around up to 30-40 seconds
- When its finished take out battery, put it again
but after putting battery back in.. i cant seem to get in CWM it just get stuck on Samsung Galaxy Screen where it shows model of the phone which is GT-I9105P. And after waiting for 5 min it automatically reboots and phone starts normal. And if i try to goto CWM it takes me to stock CWM.
