Hi, I've just installed 6.7.2_EDEM-18-MEARET FULL, that is, Atrix 2 MB865 Retail UAE and everything worked fine. But when I tried to root it, I received the following mssages in de cmd screen:
ADB Server didn't ACK
* failed to start daemon *
error: unknown host service
adb server is out of date. killing...
And it keeps looping and looping, that I have to Ctrl-C in order to finish the process.
And it happened with all the versions of rooting zips that I downloaded from here, including "New One-Click Root and Un-Root ICS 4.0.4".
I'm not an expert but have a Backflip and a Milestone 2 and both were rooted and ROMed without troubles. I've tried to post this issue in developers forum but I was not allowed, so that's why I post here this call for help.
Thank you in advance and forgive my english (I'm from Argentina).
Best regards

There are enabled debugging mode as well as Unknown origins. And the drivers were those I downloaded from here (XDA)

Hi Guys,
I'm trying to root my Sony Xperia T LT30p that is on android v4.1.2 Build 9.1.A.0.489 using the Root with Restore by Bin4ry and seem to be getting the following message:
Error: Activity class {com.sonyericsson.vendor.backuprestore/com.sonyericsson.vendor.backuprestore.ui.BackupActivity} does not exist.
Have the phone connected in debugging mode correctly and the phone's bootloader has been unlocked.
Any help would be fantastic thanks
More info:
Phone is in USB debugging more, unknown sources checked and also stock O/S.
Also have the Sony PC companion and the update service installed if this helps.
After some more investigating, there is a backup names rootme but when trying to restore it, it does nothing

Nobody has found a solution, we're stuck for now
I managed to fix it by flashing the image blob from stock firmware in fastboot, I found a guide googling a bit more

How did you do that? Could you link me the guide
Doesn't matter, I've seen that you bricked it in a different way
Something new...
We all know that in the above case is bricked tablet that starts directly in TWRP ... even if we start trying to po fastboot (volume down + power) it will start directly in TWRP
Now to answer adb shell like this:
c: \ Adb> adb devices
List of devices attached
0123456789ABCDEF recovery
But if I try to send something to it (like a touchscreen driver) see the answer and receives information
c: \ Adb> adb push 02-3011-4820.ekt / data / local / tmp /
* Daemon not running. starting it now on port 5037 *
* Successfully started daemon *
1027 KB / s (32868 bytes in 0.031s)
In other words we can send information in tablets briked .. I think now matter what name send.
I have here 2 tablets bricked (tf300tg and TF300T) and 3 functional TF300T tablet (but with broken touchscreen). The point is that I do not know what commands to send, and how to pull information from functional and tablets to the tablets who have problem
Now comes my question logic ... We can not copy anything from a 100% functional tablet and send this information to a tablet briked?? Can only boot, or recovery?

Hi all. I'm at my wit's end.
I'm new to Android and am attempting to rid my phone of Verizon bloat apps and want a clean Sense free environment. But my issue is that when I type "adb device" in command prompt, it doesn't show my device.
I have already spent the $25 for Sunshine and s-off'd my M8, and when I type "adb reboot bootloader" it reboots my phone into bootloader. So it's seeing something. In "Device Manager" it comes up as "Android Phone." I think it did that because I tried to do the troubleshooting of manually installing the Google ADB USB driver, but I'm not totally sure.
I have the Android SDK installed.
Ugh... this is headache inducing, and I just want a clean phone
If anyone can give some help, it would be TOTALLY appreciated.
Thanks!
fixed the issue. Instead of using the SDK, I used the website theunlockr and their guide worked perfectly.
Sorry for taking up forum space with my stupidity

You really should be using HTC drivers as well as the HTC version of fastboot. It's better tailored for the use of RUU etc on HTC phones whereas the sdk fastboot will fail.

Hello!
Well, i just got my hands on a Moto X 2014, already updated to Android MM 6.0.
Was trying to install TWRP through fastboot, but i keep getting this message:
"FAILED <data transfer failure <Unknown error>>"
I'm sure i have sdk tools properly installed, drivers downloaded, fastboot mode on the device working properly as well, and an unlocked device... So, i'm kinda new at this, and i'd appreciate your help very much!
Thanks!

Hello,
What OS are you using? USB 3.0?
A similar issue for a different device is addressed here.

I'm using a 2.0 USB port on a Windows 7 ultimate 32 bits. Thank you so much for your reply, I checked the thread, and I'll try using another of the 2.0 USB. The SDK tools are updated tho
Well, after a couple days i managed to install TWRP 3.0. I don't specifically know what was the problem, but i freed up some space on the device, changed USB cable and USB port on the computer, and.. that did the trick.
Thank you so much for your replies!
