Ok so after a few days with the service..... and a few buddies with it this are our concerns. If any of these have answers i would love to know about them.
First one is no independent sound volume. So for example a turn by turn GPS navigation you cant hear.
Second music that you have on your device fails to make a radio station for. Its fine if it cant but dont give me the option.
Third I cant tell if music is in my library or not. Spotify for example always has the yellow star to let you know.
Fourth if you sort by title and then add something to your my library it flips back to defualt sorting.
A few other minor things but those are the major ones.
If anyone has any ideas please let me and my buddies know

I have asked a few places but have not gotten any responses so I figured I would take a chance here.... I have tried a few roms of which allow me to continue playing music when I put the phone in standby mode (by pressing the power button once)... Some however do not..
I was wondering how this happens, as the music continues to play via built in speakers or via headphones... I know this can be acheived with bluetooth headset and it works that way as well however I am curious as to know what was done to achieve music playing in standby and also id like to know if other apps are running in standby or just the music player...
any information at all on the subject would be greatly appreciated as I have yet to find any info at all...
thanks

EDIT ... for instance TNT 1922 pro + htc home allows me to do this somehow but other roms do not... I cant seem to track down which application might have this effect and have gotten no replys else where so i figured id ask here... EDIT
With non stock headphones.. phone calls do not come through the headphone..
I know with real nokia ad-54's plugged inline at least the phone calls work through the headphones (but not the fake ones on ebay.. you have to get real oem ones)..
But i ski with my phone and listen to music through the helmet headphones.. and am looking for a media controller where the buttons actually work to pause, play etc. ... nokias dont work. as do a couple i tried on ebay that are supposed to work with this phone.. Does anyone know one that actually works?
thanks
Moved thread to proper section (Accessories)
lgkahn, you need to stop and read the "STOP!! Before posting read this NOW!!" sticky thread up at the top of each of these sections, there you will find clear guidelines for proper thread placement.
sorry i thought i was posting in the accessories section .. i know it goes there.. guess i screwed up.. you dont have to be so harsh.
I didn't mean to sound harsh with that, just firm, but if it was just a simple mistake as you described, then I apologize. Dealing with hundreds of misplaced threads, where the vast majority are caused by people who just don't bother to figure out the right way to do things, can cause an itchy trigger finger I suppose
aaaaaand we're back!
to answer your question, no the nokia remotes won't work because the pin layout inside the 3.5 jack is not the same between Samsung and Nokia. I've been dying to find a solution for this, it's absolutely necessary for ppl who listen to a lot of music / don't want to get their phone out.
Possible workarounds:
1/ Bluetooth headset OR the Jabra bluetooth dog tag thing (to be honest i don't find it convenient to have to use BT and "accessories" to control the music
2/ Switch media player, apparently double play or mixzing work with the stock earphones by double pressing the talk / play/pause button on the left earbud. I like to have my own IEMs (earphones) and don't plan on using the Samsung ones so it's not an option.
So that leaves us kinda screwed.
You could always take a look at SE's LiveView, but music control doesn't work very well yet with the SGS, hope taht will change
Admins/Mods: I know I'm brand new here, but every other place I go directs me here, and I don't blame them. I've been browsing the forums for a while now, and xda-devs really know their stuff. Please give this thread a while to help me find an answer.
Developers: I'm having an issue with my Droid 2 and headphones. First things first, I would like to know if there is some way to disable headphone jack media controls on the ROM side of things, such as deleting a script or a code or similar. Reasons being, I'm having a bit of an extremely annoying issue.
When I plug headphones in, no matter what type, music players go wacky if it's disturbed in some hard to duplicate manner. I should take the time to say that I have three media players on my phone, the Music player, XiiaLive, and Pandora. That said, when I listen to music in my car, for example, let's say I pull my phone out of the tray and turn it on to switch tracks. About 85% of the time, no trouble. The remaining 15% is me wondering why the phone just up and randomly switches to a completely different song. One time im specific, i unlocked the phone and went to go to the next track on a Breaking Benjamin album, and it just switches itself to a different artist entirely.
Another thing is, if the music player is currently playing and I unplug headphones, the music player will stop playing, but XiiaLive will bring itself up (which never runs unless i open it, and i task kill it closed when i'm done for this reason) and start streaming the last station I played.
It's driving me nuts. Like I said, I've asked around. Droidforums.net, Android Central... they all say to come ask here. Please tell me there's a way to get rid of this function.
Sorry for the long (albeit detailed) post.
hi noob here and just wanted to throw this out there.
I haven't got s-Off yet, but looking forward to installing custom roms when I can. I have a few things That can be improved as htc have missed them. So hopefully those guys into making changes come across this and make the changes.
Music widget: Doesn't update album art with currently playing song until you stop on the widget and allow it to update, can this be made instantaneous ? Also, multiple album art within album list is a bit much, I think a standard list with track time would b much better.
Message tone: cannot be changed without a third party app, also when on a call of the tone is longer than 1-2
seconds it will play in your ear for the full duration with no way to stop it, and you cannot hear the caller either. When there are headphone's attached, notification tones play through the loudspeaker, when all sound should be diverted to headphones.
Bluetooth: I use wireless headphones, I'm having quality issues when I move away from the handset, it seems htc have crippled the wireless features when it comes to this version of software. Also is there anyway to get the sound enhancer to work with bluetooth headphones?
Files: Cannot access sd card from the phone to see all files, have to connect to pc.
Call history: All calls incoming, received and missed show up multiple times for same contact. Then you also have the history button to the right of the contact which then shows all details incoming, outgoing, missed, time stamps, date. Can this be changed to just one icon per caller/contact. (hope this one made sense, was a bit hard to explain with out being confusing)
Well this is all that I have noticed so far and hope that it wont be too much trouble to change, would love to see the phone as its supposed to be, even if htc seem to have no idea right now, I would seriously love to slap there design team. especially for the WiFi issues they are really bad with my device, so pissed after getting rid of the motorola milestone 2 which was an epic fail, and now htc also has bugs!
Has anyone else noticed anything that could be changed for the better??? Add it here and lets see if the developers can change it all to have an awesome handset!
Fabz...
Hi
I;ve been trying to goole it everywhere , but apparently I am not as good as Sherlock Holmes, so I'm posting it right away.
So the point is that when I listen to some song with Poweramp there is something like volume goes up and down automatically for some higher tones or someting. I was trying to change something in option, but without any succes. Now I've got Replay gain turned off , Music Fx frozen, and thers is only DVC turned on. Anyone have any solution or it would be simply better to change the music player to winamp or something?
Rihgt away thanks for any help
I hope it would be easier with a sng example which is Scream and Shout by will.i.am.
In the chorus, when the sing together it is like the were choking and then this computer voice is in the middle suppressed.
By the way I would like to mention that play the same song from the same file in google play music I havent noticed such a sound problems.
