I've been preoccupied recently, and haven't been paying much attention to XDA. I've been running JellyBAM 4.0.0 for about 3 months without an issue. But the other day I noticed that the AOKP Lock Screen / Notification Weather was off. My guess would be that the provide is no longer available.
Once I found an issue, I started wondering if there was a worth successor to JellyBAM?

What do you like specifically about JellyBAM? Jellykang as well as the new Cyanogenmods and AOKP are likely all at least as good.

JellyBAM was a full blown kang of if I'm not mistaken PACman. The only thing changed at source level was credits.

First and foremost, the camera app works. (A big plus over JellyBAM 3.3 and PACMan v17 - 19 and I'll ignore the lack of 1080 video.)
It's fairly stable. Easily usable as a daily driver.
Paranoid is included - Allowing the ASUS SuperNote app to be re-scaled to a runnable size.
AOKP lockscreen customization is nice. I like the extra targets, calendar and weather. (But then the Weather source appears broken, so it's disabled.)
My current issues are as follows:
Broken Weather in AOKP
Sluggish performance when the phone has been idle
Phone app / LCD doesn't turn back on after talking. (Works ok when the other party hangs up, but it sucks when you're leaving a VM.)

Maybe snatch the PACman source and throw the cm10.1 source tree in it and compile it?
Not to sure on how all that works but I'm supposed to be getting a ROM built for the EVO Shift guys, so maybe I'll settle on PAC and try to build for both devices...if I can keep my laptop cool enough

Q&A
Is this CM7?
No, this is a build that started from AOSP. However, some of the fixes and few features have been derived from the CyanogenMod Team, including the CM kernel.
How social is the evervolv team?
You can join us on IRC, irc.freenode.net #evervolv. Or follow preludedrew and the status of Evervolv @preludedrew on twitter.
Does this rom include the T-Mobile Theme Engine? Downloading now but I'm at work so I'll report back in a little bit. Much appreciated

This tastes smooth
Did a fresh wipe/data reset. Flashed the rom and the gb-0325 gapps. Everything installed with no issues, first boot went smooth.
It's a decent looking rom even though the font is really hard on my crappy eyesight, overall I like it so far besides the few issues i ran into. Market works and reinstalled all of my apps without issue. Everything syncs(contacts, gmail, apps, etc) Sent and received a few SMS messages. 1x/3g works. Browsed the internet. Can make and receive calls.
I thought it was a little slow after first boot but after a reboot it isn't as clunky and sporadicly laggy. Gallery took a bit initially but i think it was generating the new thumbnails
Camera force closes and does not open.
I receive an error when trying to start wifi. It just says error, I will logcat or something later when my kids aren't trying to beat me mercilessly.

Normal distributions for phones that are supported go as follows
Test builds (current stage of the heroc), These go on irc in the main topic, i often tweet about them being there... but not always.
Nightly builds ( I call them nightlies because I used to do them once or twice a night for people back when gingerbread first came out, now i just put out nightlies when I think the rom is good, but want one last test ). - These can be found on twitter and in the IRC channels main topic.
XDA/evervolv.com builds - These are the obvious release builds... I do not do 'Stable releases' just because there's always something out there that im trying out... learning how to do.. so ya'all get what we're doing anyways. For the most part a 'beta' build is something that is stable enough for usage... yet the next week there could be something borked because im adding new things (like standalone power widgets are currently borked... working on them as soon as this message is written).
As far as the heroc is concerned, im fine with smoothtaste compiling and distributing.. ( this is an open community afterall) but i'll be doing an official release shortly (was close to doing one before 2.3.4 was merged, and then got busy with that =p)
my twitter account - @preludedrew
I post everything i do on there, kind of a 'twitlog' if you will.
【New Build of CM7.2】Who start this build?and what's the diffrent with tpruvot's?

what's the diffrent with the build by Epsylon3 (tpruvot)?
the server:

might I use another Froyo 2.2.2 kernel with CM7.2 ? or I must use the kernel which adviced by Epsylon3 to be the best?
what's the diffrent of these kernel? Does the system file from the Kernel at Epsylon3's build ?

For me, this KANG build is better than the 3psylon one because it has been updated and there is no more lockscreen-calendar bug and the alignment is right.
Also, it is fast and the default ring style looks better. The revamped style is added too.
You can mute the focus sound (Camera).
An option that I really don't understand this: Mobiledata auto 2G/3G (from Notification power widget>Widget buttons)

as the site has link to Official CM7 Nightly changelog,it's pure CM7.
just added some unofficial mods and tons of changes on CM7 github has not merged yet
i have tried this for a short time only (3days?)...i can say that it never gave me problems-installed normal & used as usual cm7 almost no difference in feels...
the good thing also is that we have alternatives now.
though i was not able to explore much of the commits--but will go back on this kang...
just trying out maniac's for now.
So guys, how stable is it? CM7.1 focus sound bothers me.
I've been using it the last couple of days and really like it. Small cosmetic changes and very smooth. Had a couple of force closes but fix permissions sorted it. I think I'll stuck with these nightlies. Kudos Fuzz!

Great release. Fast, smooth, the "usual" Wi-Fi bug occurs a bit less frequently than before... the only thing which bothers me is stock camera. Video recording only works in landscape. If I hold the phone in portrait position, video is distorted. Is it possible to disable screen rotation for this single application?
Okay in love with this build. Its got all the things from miui I missed.

Just FYI, I have torch in lockscreen in CM7 too, in the form of lockscreen gestures. Like it better than WajkUI's (and probably MIUI's) hold menu key for torch method cos it was very finicky, hard to get it to stay on for more than a second or two without flickering.

This builds home key works.
No rubbing the touch screen first or unlocking phone and then torch comes on.
Was rather surprised
This build works well. Mostly basic CM, witch is good. It doesn't hurt to have an extra builder who shares his kangs.
The extra's he picks witch are (not yet) merged in CM are nice. I think if you like the MIUI battery and you want it on CM, this is your best option as it will never be merged in CM.
The lockscreen flashlight works well indeed.
Opened up a CyanogenMod 9 discussion thread To talk about it.
What would you like to see? What features do you like (from alpha versions or the Nexus S version)? And the big question on everyone's mind: When do you think it will be released?

He's not, he's asking to speculate. Or is that not allowed either?
I personally can't wait for CM9. I'm running Virtuous Quattro on my Desire HD at the moment, but was on CM7.1 for a long time before that. Hoping it will see the light of day before the end of Feb, but I have no idea how optimistic that might be!
An integrated contacts app that allows you to go to contacts and start typing a name and it will automatically search without hitting the search button would be nice.
I have 450+ contacts and it's a pain in the a$$ to scroll through and almost always have to manually search.
IDK if this already a feature but also like to see the camera unlock be integrated to use either front or back cameras for facial recognition.
CM9 seems pretty legit for me... we have a port for the captivate and it runs amazing ....having ICS on older devices is pretty awesome ....whatever CM brings to the table is always good stable and fast
I'm running a pure AOSP port of the galaxy nexus at the moment and I have no issues what's so ever...
Just hope your device has the right devs and anything is possible

Moore's Law is now biting us in the rear.
The blog post on the CM site pretty reinforced what I thought was happening and why development has been a bit slow. 4.0 was designed to be very different from 2.x, but I am sure that the team will knock out some stable releases soon enough.

I think it's a bit rude for people to come into another thread and hijack it with advertisements on what they are going to release. Maybe this OP does not have your experience level, but they are contributing to the community with what they can. I've seen many people get discouraged by actions like this. This is a place to share. It's the little things, there is nothing bigger.

Hi!
So, I just moved to that new shiny awesome ROM and that looks just amazing.
One extremly annoying issue tho. When screen is locked and I push power button there is a huge lag between three buttons on the bottom side of the screen lights up and actual screen lighting up. Its about 1 second lag after me pressing the power button and screen being able to be unlocked.
I tried to search for similar issues, but doesnt seems like anyone have it on my sort of phone model.
