I have experienced this on some apps. I have no idea why. It doesn't seem to report force close and just freezes. But if I use PA 3.50, Force Close is working.
Find out which app is doing it. It's probably a root app. Uninstall it.
my root apps...
i need all of those...

When does the freezing occur?
The best thing to do right now is back up all of your apps and do a clean install with the stock JB ROM.
Try to see if the freezing still occurs as much as it was before you reflashed.
If it does stop, a rogue app might have been installed secretly and is now deleted.
If not, check what app is open when the freezes occur.
You have to experiment as to which app is causing it.

Everytime I install an app or use titanium backup to restore apparently my tablet does a soft reset. Or if im using it for more than five minutes.

After your xda HD app repeatedly force closes and you get send a report, where does the report go to. I have sent several dozens of reports every time the xda app force closes on my SG Tab2 10.1. ??? What happens next?
Anyone know? Can someone share.

Tried that several times with all three apps, xda free, xda prem, xda HD, still no good. Deleted all installed just one, still no good. Tried all apps by themselves, no good.

Am considering unrooting just not sure how to go about it. Not sure if reset will do it, this way I can start fresh. I have stock root, no custom roms yet.

XDA HD has issues, It's based on on an old Tapatalk HD which had the same issues. It's not your Rom or your phone, don't worry

Thanks for your input guys, still looking for unroot solution to test apps against a stock Tab platform. Will post back after I find a solution.
Thanks again,

Sent from my GT P-5113 using xda HD that force closes everytime I hit submit.
Hello there, my brother has a Tab Plus P6200. He got it 10 days ago.
The first thing he did was root it by going into recovery and installing root.zip from SD card.
It was fine until today when it started freezing and locking up all the time. The only solution is to reset it by holding the power/lock button to force reset it.
As soon as it boots, it freezes. Sometimes he can unlock it and swipe through the homescreens, sometimes it even freezes before he gets to unlock it. Even if he gets to unlock it, it would freeze after a minute or maybe less. He can't do anything on it.
I was gonna recommend a data wipe from srock recovery but thought that it's easier that he try and get it replaced under warranty.
Just wanted to know whether there's anyone else that has experienced this and if there's a quick solution for it.

I sorta had that same problem when I first bought my tab. Honeycomb is really terrible. I kept it only one day then I flashed my tab with cm9 and now I'm running cm10 and all is good. Maybe he should try that

That's a good suggestion however it might void the warranty if I can't flash back to stock or it bricks and I can't reset the counter.
Anyway I showed him CM9 and CM10 on my Note and he didn't like them very much. He prefers the TW ROMs.
Oh and by the way, is stock recovery safe on Honeycomb? Does it have the emmc bug like the ICS kernels? I might give it a shot with wiping data/factory reset. That won't void the warranty though, right?

Change your root file. Your version of firmware is incompatible with the root file you're using.

Hi everyone, I haven't used the stock messaging app at all but every time I try to open it the app force closes. I use go sms just fine but would like to know why it could be force closing.

Are you rooted? Try clearing the cache in the app manager section, force stop, and start the app.

Thanks! Didn't even think of doing that

If that doesn't work, go into recovery and try fixing permission under advanced.
It freezes to a point where I have to take out my battery.... ever since I rooted, that started happening and I removed most of the apps I can download in the store such as kindle, play books, etc but none of the stock apps. I'm TW stock and rooted running faux kernel (btw this also happened to me before flashing the kernel).is there a fix for this annoying issue And sometimes when I download certain apps and open them, it freezes..

Since you're stock already. It's probably only a couple things
1. You installed some kind of mod that is freezing your phone, any kind of optimizing and performance driven app or mod can do this.
2. A hardware problem
So if you feel confident you didn't do anything to cause the issues, then Odin back to stock and use it for a while completely stock. If it's still freezing up then it's a hardware problem, and you should put a warranty claim on your phone.

Thanks for the reply but this also happened to my other s3 when i was on jelly beans rom but I did noticed that on the AOSP roms, my s3 barely freezes.... I don't know if it was the stock apps I uninstalled?

Use a different kernel like Zeus kernel or DKP. Faux's kernels are a big fail.

No what you need to do is go load stock like BadUserName suggested. The number 1 rule when troubleshooting anything in life is to put it back to the way it was when you got it. In this case that means Odin back to stock. Do NOT install any kernels or CPU adjusting apps. I wouldn't even root or unlock. If it still happens its the phone.
