*DesireHD ROMS* Sacs / Calkulin / echo

It's getting kind of annoying to jump from thread to thread to see what is being fixed or what errors are being found with each DesireHD ROM.... I am creating this thread so we can list what problems are being found and what problems are being worked on within the 3 DesireHD ROMS....
Please feel free to post the problems you guys are finding within these roms so that I can update the listing for them.
*Sacs*
- Call waiting (you can hear the noise for another call coming in, but you can not switch over)
Sac's indicates a fix has been applied to the upcoming release
- 4G
- HDMI
*Calkulin*
- Call waiting (Not everyone is running into this issue. You can hear the noise for another call coming in, but you can not switch over)
Workaround for the call waiting issue is to activate the proximity sensor and it will display the incoming call, hense why some see it and some don't.

*echo*

I personally have no problems answering call waiting on calkulin's rom. I have answered switched over, hung up you name it plenty of times.
-deck
Yep, was using Caulks last night and had a call waiting. No problems switching over.
(These are from Calkulin's Thread)

By far best rom ever for the EVO. The only issue I have is the caller ID. When on the phone you can hear the inbound call but the inbound phone app does not show up. Anyone else have this issue?

This is the same EXACT problem i was having... I don't understand how people are not running into this error as much... I ran into this error within 30min of the ROM... Not being able to see who is calling or being able to switch is a major issue to me... But of course Calkulin's ROM is amazing, i just wish he could fix that error...

Everyone has this issue, they just haven't gotten call waiting yet. This is an important bug, after all, it is a phone. We have to have call waiting.

If only one person is running into this problem, then lets not post it here... If more than one person runs into an issue, I think we should address it as a problem. What do you guys think?
Here is 3 people running into this error from Calkulin's thread.
Workaround for the call waiting issue is to activate the proximity sensor and it will display the incoming call, hense why some see it and some don't. The problem does exist but no fix as of yet from me at least

Agg. Google Camera. Rustling Fund

As the title suggests we (at least those who N5) had to upgrade to the camera of google. For heaven's sake in this post is not to say, you no good bad etc. .. But I want to put an attention on the video. You doing various tests from yesterday to today I noticed (unfortunately) an annoying noise in the video is that in FHD 480p. The bug or problem, call it what you want, persists in all kinds of resolution that you put. Arises especially in confined spaces, such as a room or whatever at home, standing in silence and making a normal recovery. Below I have uploaded a little video to show you Yuotube on this issue. To you a review!
Edit: obviously the video was shot in 1080p, this should sentisi more noise or background noise.

In fact, restoring an old bakup I noticed that in the old version the problem persists. As you said the bug there for months. Hopefully with the update 4.4.3 solve.

I really want someone else to give this a go and report back, I unitentionally fixed this problem by flashing a slim rom hdr+ bug fix. The file I flashed was this one http://www.slimroms.net/index.php/d...-4/10260-slim-google-camera-compatibility-fix
Maybe a strange coincidence, anyone else fancy giving it a shot?

[Q] Running SULTAN and earpiece is very weak - fix?

Hi.
So it seems that for some odd reason, SULTAN (dev) decided to lower the speaker volume in his ROM.
I found THIS LINK which should help:
But - and pardon my noobishness here - I don't seem to find directory.
1. Do I need a special file explorer to reach this directory?
2. Do I need to be rooted (i am not)?
Thanks!

Thanks! That's a no no for me. I am not willing to root my phone.
I guess a different rom then.
It confuses me why would a developer REDUCE the earpiece volume.
Any outside noise during a call, and I can't hear a word being said to me by the other side. This is major deal-breaker. Weird. Perhaps I am missing something as to why was this done by the dev.

Sultan reverted that commit 'cause it was causing issues. :/
Besides,I don't understand why you hate root.

Has anyone else got the January update? Nobody's been talking about any changes...

I got this a couple of days ago but have seen no mention of it on this forum. It only seems like a security patch though.
EDIT: This was received in the UK

I have been saying that same thing for a long time.
If you are going to be snarky about an existing thread, you could at least post a link to it! This one came up on the search when I started to post a new topic suggesting it was similar to my question.
Here's the question I was going to post, but will post it here instead so there is "not open 100 same threads over and over". (since there was no link to the original post that was about this update and it didn't show up on the suggestions)
I received the first Oreo update on 03-Jan-18: Oreo 8.0.0, Security Patch level December 1, 2017
My understanding is that Xiaomi has started rolling out the second Oreo update that fixes a number of problems in the first release, but I have yet to get it. We own two A1's, and my wife's A1 has yet to get either Oreo update and mine has not received a January security patch or the latest Oreo update.
I'm just wondering if any of you who got the original Oreo update has received the latest one?
Regards,

Just received it, in India
Fingerprint is faster than before.

Thanks Androidman720. Does it show as a January security level? Maybe it will make its way to Thailand before the end of the month. I'm hoping so.

EDIT: Right after I posted this, it arrived on my phone! Now I just have to decide if I really want to apply it. With all the issues reported, I am not sure. The first update seems to work well for me: no camera lag to speak of (1 sec), notifications work properly as far as I can tell, etc. The only downside is a 'quieter' audio output, so not sure about rolling the dice and applying the upgrade. Will wait a few days to see what others experience.
EDIT 2:
I went ahead and did the update. Sound seems to have changed again. I went into my music app and changed the EQ to Flat and the sound was much better. I did not hear any hissing, even with classical music, but old ears may be the issue there. I don't use BT unless needed, so cannot address that issue. So far, notifications and icons all seem to work as they should. Camera app is unchanged at ~1 second from press of camera icon to ready. Fingerprint reader seems to have gotten faster, though it was no slouch (compared to my iPad) before. So far, battery usage is what I consider normal, but I don't use the phone for a lot of high drain things like watching videos or playing games. My battery easily lasts 2 to 3 days and is what I consider normal. If this changes with the new update, I will update this post.

Impromptu update?

10.0.0 (QP1A.190711.020.C3, Sep 2019)
Seems like it was posted today..
Anyone flash it or know what it's for?
https://developers.google.com/android/images
Perhaps a fix for sensor issue?
I'd flash and see but ugh.. I have my phone set up perfectly including Google Pay.. May still do it, I'm sick like that!
i know right i didn't wanna flash it since we are a week away from the October build but will there even be an october build now?

Pretty sure there will be. The C3 indicates it's a hotfix release so that shouldn't impact the normal schedule.
So....did anyone flash it yet? Lol
Got it via OTA toda, 1335 MB on C3.
haven't seen anything different, lol.
Can confirm that this build has fixed the swipe up issue for unlocking not working properly - but still suffering from the screen goes blank when on a call (to ear) and then does not turn on again when viewed unless various buttons pressed!.
Got a new update as well
I got it this morning. I have not noticed anything new.

I have that issue, and I'm still on 9.0.
I was chatting with the Pixel team yesterday about something unrelated and was trying to get any info about the C3 update. Instead, I got very evasive runaround about how there is no approved communication. He didn't act like he didn't know what I was talking about but just wanted to change the subject since he wasn't going to say what the "hotfix" was for. I guess this their new strategy after still not disclosing the difference between .19 and .20.

Yeah, they used to be very up front with what the differences are in the builds. Usually they were carrier specific. If I had to guess, this new update fixed some huge security issue that they needed to fix ASAP before the bad guys could take over our phones.

Just take the OTA like good "sheeple." Don't worry about when it will get there, and of course you'd never need to root and block all of those glorious ads.
I flashes this new release yesterday and I may say it is big...I'm still going deep into what's new but haven't found anything relevant yet.

Is that the issue of swiping, or the proximity sensor info not causing the screen to reactive during a call?

Proximity.. I wish that while on a call, no other involuntary touch action could activated... Until hanging up or pressing a deliberate action.
Apparently a hotfix for the sensor bug went out 5.5MB for other pixels... (see the stickied sensor bug thread) Makes you wonder if someone made an oopsie in our case?
I noticed my phone a little bit colder after this update.
It's a pretty big update! It's the same size as the official Android 10 image. Weird.
Any of the 10 features that we haven't gotten yet in there? Like the customization app or whatever? New AOD clocks? I can't remember what all else we were supposed to get. I don't have time today to check it myself.
