How I know if I have Init.d Support? I'm using CM10.1/JB 4.2.2. Does Stock ICS 4.0.4 has Init.d support?
Using a file explorer (such as Root Explorer) navigate to: system/etc and see if there is a folder listed as init.d to find out.

... and it's strictly required to overclocking?
"Init.d plays an important role in the world of Android development and customization. It allows users to install scripts and mods to be run at boot—everything from battery tweaks to performance tweaks. It essentially opens the door to a world of mods only possible through the Init.d process, which in turn is usually only available on custom kernels."

Hey guys and gals... I'm new to the Galaxy S3 and I've been looking around thru the forum at all the ROMs and I apologize if I have overlooked the one I'm looking for but I'm wondering if there is a pure bloated stock deodexed ROM...I know this send like a stupid request but I rather like the stock ROM and basically just want deodexed in order to use specific mods that are only available for deodexed ROMs
Heres a screenshot of my current base and I'd like to stay on this base... Just deodexed

Re: [ROM][3/6] Super Stock+ [4.1.2]
I've tried the nos before but wouldn't boot. Does the kernel we're not allowed to talk about not support init.d?
Is everything stock or did you add blue toggles and what not?
If I were to flash the" no no"kernel would it break anything?

The kernel works fine on this ROM. Running the 2.28 release.
I dirty-flashed from the OTA, but I swear the OTA felt buttery smooth while this is close, but not quite as fluid. Perhaps the init.d tweaks are conflicting with the kernel. I know we're suppose to have no CPU init tweaks to run it correctly.

If your running CM10 nightlies, AOKP or TW MF1 give this script a try. It will give them a nice kick in the pants to get it moving without additional battery drain.
Basically some ram optimizations.
CM10 flashable zip
http://d-h.st/AxY
TW MF1 flashable zip
http://d-h.st/JWs
AOKP flashable zip
http://d-h.st/cru
I'll give it a go! I never use CM10, but I'm actually downloading it right now. Haha. So I will give this a try since I know you're a boss at this stuff
Sorry I'm a noob with running scripts-_- how do you get it going? Haha

After you download the script rename it by removing the ".txt"
Then place the file in /system/etc/init.d.
Then reboot
Done

If it's based on cm10 but it may already have it's own optimizations.
Install it. It won't hurt anything. If it provides more speed for you than keep it. If not, remove it manually. I did not include a remove flashable. I bet you will find more speed though.
