Does anyone have a flashable zip? The axis Rom doesn't have an option for it
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium

It's because you flashed the aosp rom and it replaces it
Its in there but you can extract it yourself.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 2

I extracted the Samsung camera, but it wouldn't install. I'm not sure if I should have manually pushed it to system/app

Yes push to system/app then set permissions to RW-R-R or 0644. Then reboot

I manually pushed the best pose, Samsung camera and gallery, never set the rw and everything still works. I never understood the r and rw unfortunately

You need a root file browser such as root explorer or root browser. Go to where you have the apk, copy and paste it to
/system/app. Then long press the apk you just pasted, select permission. Change it from rw-rw---- or whatever it is to
rw-r--r-- which is also 644, in root browser it will look like this
x x -
x - -
x - -
Then reboot and enjoy.

Flashed it but it didn't work when rebooted..AOKP 4.2.2. Flashed in TWRP. Was it meant for a different recovery?

It was meant for VRBMB1. It is the camera .apk straight from the VRBMB1 stock ROM. I don't know anything about AOSP, I thought you asked for VRBMB1 stock camera..?

That was someone else, I guess I didn't pay attention that you couldn't flash them to AOSP roms.

No it is not flashable. You have to move it with a file explorer app. Place the file in /Data/Local, then reboot.

Your moving the whole .zip file to /data/local, correct? If you extract (like I did the first attempt) it won't work.
Yes... ermm I think lol. Will try again to make sure.
So cm's splash screen shouldn't override?
And thanks for the quick reply

The downloaded file should be bootanimation.zip, once that file is downloaded. Move it to /data/local. Do not extract it. Hope this helps.
Yea so I have two data folders. One on phone (which doesn't have a local folder) and one on my SD that also does not have a local folder.
Got the bootanimation.zip... just don't know precisely where to put it this seems extremely easy and I can't make it work lol

When you open what ever file explorer you use. If it doesn't already start at the root folder on your SD card. Go to it, it should look like this
Then click on Data, then Local folder. Place the bootanimation.zip there. Hope this helps.

After you flash the zip, you can place any AOSP MMS you prefer in system/app. Just make sure the file is named "Mms.apk", the original one is deleted, and permissions are fixed. There are some nice inverted ones here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095243

If you want the dark theme, you'll want to flash the zip then download an inverted MMS (I posted a link to a thread that has these). After that, use root explorer or ES file manager to place the APK in system/app. Make sure the file is named Mms.apk (it will overwrite the one already there). Change permissions to rwrr then reboot.
