Hi guys,
I downloaded the Sense 5 EX ROM and flashed it, I've done a Factory Reset, System wipe, Cache wipe and Dalvik cache wipe before I install the new ROM.
The problem is the phone just got stuck on the bootscreen (I wait more than 10 minute). I've tried flashing it a few times more but the problem still persist. Any help? Taking out MicroSD is not an option for now.
Will Thanks anyone who helped! :good:

I don't have one, but I tried making one just now (1GB ext4 on my 2GB SD card), still won't boot past bootscreen. Is my SD card too small?

Hey guys.
Trouble found me again this time.i m not able to restore sdext data from multiboot backup cm7 data as well as from nandroid backup.
I was flashing a different kernel on an existing one when this happened.
The error was that it can't format sdext ,so i formatted it through minitool.but still i could see that out of 1gb sdext partition 32 mb is used even after formatting.
Tried flashing the rom again from scratch..but no luck.the problems still there.
Can't afford to loose so much data.
Please help guys.

what type of backups do you have?....e.g. : data.ext2/4.tar, data.img(data) or sdext.ext2/4.tar or sd-ext.img(sd-ext)??
and which kernel are you powered by?

It was arakmars openfimg..and the backups were in. Tar format..
Silly of me i thought its a tar file so flashed sdext through odin..didn't work..lol.
Eventually i found that data was ext 4 so it was getting restored but sdext was ext3..and my new partitioned part was ext4..so may be it was the problem.
And for those who want to know, cm7 stock kernel makes an ext3 partition.

Hello developers
Am using nextgen 1.5 Rom
8gb sd card with 512mb as ext3 partition.
The problem is whenever I remove my battery (to change SIM/ other) all the apps which are on sd-ext partition are not showing in menu.
All the data which is on ext partition doesn't shows.
To get it back I again have to flash the Rom.
And after flashing the Rom without using factory reset/ wipe data(super wipe) I get the data back.
Is the problem with mount2sd script or sd card.?
Please help.?

I think no problem with your SD card. After changing sim/battery power on your phone and wait for at least 2 minutes all apps/data on ex partition will be shown. No need to re-flash.
If i helped you say thanks
But sometimes phone stuck at htc logo white screen.

@OP, you made 2 identical posts...
you have to wait for answers and maybe search a little bit more before creating new topics.

Thanks for the answer. and as of the double posts ill keep that in mind.
Also when i checked it it looks like a flashable zip file......
So if i flash it over my existing recovery (CWM 5.0.2.0) do i need to back up before it ......
Also is a wipe data/factory reset required.
solution
maybe CWM 5.0.2.0 will be the best, it formats ext partition in ext4 format and also can take backup of ext partition also with backup of full rom , which CWM 5.0.2.6 can't... so use CWM 5.0.2.0 it is good enough.

Oh, man... This quite a big deal. I had to learn this the hard way. Had always backed up with 5.0.2.6 and, the day I needed to restore my ext4 position, I was not able to... just stick to 5.0.2.0 and be happy. You are losing nothing with this recovery version.

Strange...
Are you installing Clean?
(means wipe/format everything except SD)
You should have tried this but still.
Well I was using build 7 on 1GB ext3 (mini tool created) on Yannoua's. No such problem.
Only app launch delay..
Try ext3 and Yannoua
Hit "THANKS" If this was Helpful
Yeah and partition is ext 3 and used all recoveries

First of all try to take the correct name of MY ROM
Secondly if u r getting reboots issue .....
Try changing your recovery to TWRP 2.5.0.0
Change your ext partition to ext3 or ext2
Try cleaning cache a dalvik cache ...
Refresh fully clean ......
I have the same memory card as u r having ....
