Music player problem with the stock ics

Hi guys i just installed the official ics rom but the music player can't see the music. What can i do?

i had the same problem. Copy the memory card data to the PC, then reset the phone as well as FORMAT(from the phone "storage" menu) the memory card.
Then copy back all data. It will work then

Inconsistent music playback on CM9 and AOKP?

I've notice that when I am on CM9 or AOKP that when I'm playing music and either go into gallery or change files on my external sdcard that the music stops or skips. I have all my music on my external card because I do not have enough space on my internal. Has anybody else had this problem?
PS: On Samsung ROMs I do not run into this issue.

Media files placed in root folders

Could you please help me how to make my music player/ galley recognize media files placed in root folders.

what do you mean by "root folders"
if you mean the internal storage, like /data and /system, it really just depends on the app. I think poweramp will let you select other folders, but others may not.

Jet audio also let's you select other folders

Yes, i meant internal memory. Is it possible to make music player/ gallery recognize media files placed in internal memory....
Currently i can use internal memory to save data just as in a flash drive. And if i want to play any media, i have to manually browse to the media location using an explorer and play.
Simply put, Is it possible to play music/ videos in stock apps without an sd-card inserted?
I want music files preview to be shown in music player, pictures and videos preview in gallery.
And poweramp and jet audio are showing a message that an sd-card is not inserted.

There is no way. The internal storage is for apps only. You have to use a external sd for all media.

Im just curious to know how developers of htc-one-x without an sd-card and others like samsung-s2 on at&t carrier have managed to make the same possible.

One x has cloud, sgs2 has internal and external sd card plus internal space for apps.

Music folder from sd card

Hi everyone..i want to put my music folder into sd card..and integreted with the music player..every time i scan my media,music player don't found my music ( i can see my photos) i removed .nomedia but nothing. Any idea please. Thank you

More information please.?

It is an S4 9500 unrooted and i have a 64 GB card.
I created a folder called music but its contents do not show up on the Google or the Samsung music player,only the music that is on the internal memory shows up in both players.I tried to clear cash and force stop the music player but nothing changed.

I have synced all the music from my itunes to my sd card successfully including the playlists. I use "easy phone sync" available in play store. Give it a try.
Though I have not tried playing music by simply copy pasting into my sd card.

Try downloading another music player on google play and see if it does detect.
I use MXPlayer, although it is primarily used for playing videos, they added the audio function as well. You can give it a go. Go to settings and check "Use as an audio player", then go back to the list and refresh. All your songs should show up.
