You would have to pull the mms.apk from her ROM, then transfer it to your phone. Then copy the file to system/app rename your old mms.apk first, then copy new one over. Be sure to change permissions to rw-r-r.

I haven't tried all of these only the black and white transparent Facebook and Google+. But I pushed them to system/app. You might be able to flash them but I didn't try it.
If you brick your phone I'm not responsible.

this can happen if it mirrors another app and the system is confused, also i think some apps require certain shared libraries that cm7 has changed and this may cause issues with occasional apps.
not saying this IS your problem but its likely

1. I could send you a file taken from stock ROM but you forgot to provide you ROM version
2. you can try to extract it yourself - there's a tool for ROM conversion to format mountable on PC (with e.g. Ext2Fsd & gizmo)
3. I found port of it for non-TW ROMs somewhere on xda - don't remember the link, but try searching for "TW clock"
Hey thanks for taking the time to reply. I am on LQ2 ICS. If you could send file to [email protected] or post here or whatever that would be ace. I will have a look for TW clock as well.

After you flash the zip, you can place any AOSP MMS you prefer in system/app. Just make sure the file is named "Mms.apk", the original one is deleted, and permissions are fixed. There are some nice inverted ones here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095243

So I recover the zip. Then install a aosp sms.
Any issues with picture messaging? Also could we go back if we wanted to.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
No, just flash the zip and you're set. No need for anything else. Everything works. Nandroid backup before you flash and restore system to revert.

What if I want the dark theme sir?
Does this remove Samsung's stock messaging or just adds stock AOSP messaging with it? thanks for this.
This removes stock and flashes a tweaked framework in addition to the AOSP MMS.

If you want the dark theme, you'll want to flash the zip then download an inverted MMS (I posted a link to a thread that has these). After that, use root explorer or ES file manager to place the APK in system/app. Make sure the file is named Mms.apk (it will overwrite the one already there). Change permissions to rwrr then reboot.
