Both of them stopped my sound working and forced closed my music apps on liquid, strange as they work fine on other aosp roms

Edit... Thanks for that I used the free version and it worked. I was trying the premium before

I tried acid mod on every rim I've tried and it makes the music only play once or twice in a row then I have to light the screen and it will play again. Its not guaranteed to work for our phone

If you want awesome music quality then flash the ultimate one sound for sense and the bassmod 3.0 for sense
I guarantee you, you will get an awesome music experience!
These mods will only work sense roms!
And don't forget to make a nandroid backup!

tried Virtuous Quattro and Extreme Senseless Blitz. They were both good for everyday use. I wanted senseless rom too but sacrificing beats audio for me is not good enough thats why I keep coming back to sense version.
The virtuous quattro rom is based off pure AOSP, and the bluetooth/camcorder isnt working among other things. An alternative ICS rom without sense would be virtuous inquisition, which I am using now. It leaves the camera app and the music app (optionally) from the HTC roms, to provide an almost-stock ICS experience with alot more functionality.

What does beats do? Isn't it just an equalizer?

yes basically its a pre-loaded equalizer setting
i have no problem with the beats branding and the hardware (good earbuds/headphones that are a tad overpriced), but the beats software is a joke and i can't believe that people actively look for ROMs with the "feature"
usually these are the same people like HTC Sense (also awful software)

Yep, it made the transition from GB Sense bloat to ICS aosp nosense a positive experience!
try this
use insert coins rom and its deodexed so you can flash the theme that removes sense counterparts and turns it into ASOP with beats....

Thanks for the explanation. That clears up a lot of confusion I have. I like neutral sounds, so beats is not for me then.

Four things:
1. oh dear
2. please use the search function, this has already been asked and answered at least twice.
3. Sense apps require sense framework which AOSP builds quite obviously dont have.
4. Nowhere in bassini's thread does it say anything about CM ROMs, it only says about sense roms so I would think that its obviously meant for sense roms and not CM
To tell you the truth, beats audio doesn't improve audio quality at all.
I prefer DSP manager in AOSP/AOKP rom since beats WON'T WORK in AOKP/AOSP rom.
and I think DSP in much better than BEATS AUDIO.
I dont prefer beats but dolby. and dolby is in The package with beats
And I have done it with the virtiuos inquesation ( dont know how you spell it) on ICS and that's a aosp rom

No its not, its a no-sense ROM because:
1. Its not built from source
2. It uses a sense base then removed sense apps and replaced with AOSP versions of those apps, therefore it has a sense framework so the dolby package will work.
3. Pure AOSP ROMs dont have sense framework

Beats from Beats installer works, but there is no notification about it you can only hear it. and for dolby sound, try some music players, I`m sure there is at least one with it. Maybe PowerAMP, or something?

Beats is just an EQ profile. To my ears I admit it gives more pleasing sound than stock but not as good as I can get from apps like poweramp or DSP Manager

No good since you can't alter anything if your music gets distorted using just beats. Awesome Beats is basically a modded DSP manager that uses libs and audio files of Beats.
OK this one

[Q] ACID Audio Engine V5 on Stock JB?

hi there,
I can't find out if the Audio Engine Mod V5 will run on the Stock JB rom, because the stock rom already comes with audio improvement software / beats..
does anyone know if I can flash the mod without having troubles with the stock beats audio drivers? or should I delete the beats files first.
the features of this mod seems to be really nice and I love music
no ideas?
