Battery problems, is it dead or something else - HTC Sensation

My sensation have interesting battery problem, so far phone is old, but problem is this when i charge it it charges so slow, from 15 % batery charging all night i got only 68%. Have tryed many chargers, my note 2 charger, iphone charher, all is same, but it lasts all day if i dont text so much, when im on phonecalls, but texting just drains it so fast like hell.

it also can be bad reading of battery stats... what rom do you use? and when you flashed it?

Using cm 10.1. Flashed since it get stabile, flash almost every update, about kernel and performance improvments, so far on may 10 update, charged with my notes charfer what is 2 amp charger and no difference

Yep... Probably it's battery related... You can also check with better battery stats (bbs) and see what it shows when you unplug the charger.

Try putting the phone down for at least a lil while.

lol, 4 hours of constant use with screen on. I would say that battery is working well.
Ok good just making sure its not messed up and Idk why but to me the whole 4200mV when fully charged seemed high I mean its at 3900 when charging Idk lol but thanks guys

I usually top it about 4213mv when I'm fully charged.
Mine jumps back and fourth between 4200 and 3900 also.
Okay good I never took notice with my other battery and Idk just thought it could be a high number xD

May I ask what app(s) you're using to generate your battery data (graph and calibration)?
Battery calibration app and the stock setting battery information on abso 3.2

Using the phone with screen on for 4 hours and whatever apps or games you're playing + wifi or GPS or data can definitely kill your battery in 4 hours. You can do the while calibration method but if you've already done that then nevermind. If you're not using your phone for the 4 hours and it died that fast then yes something is wrong.

Yea I was doing it as a self test and just wanted to see if that were a good amount of time I bought the battery from new egg for 15 and it was a stock HTC battery

Wow that's crazy! It seems that the phone is in almost constant use for 4 hours straight! Wifi was always on, screen is almost always on, and it's awake almost all the time. I think the battery is doing well then. Just don't go crazy with it too much.

Are you charging via pc ??

Have you tried a different battery? Perhaps a new battery would solve the issue? This way you can see if it's the device or battery. If your still having troubles with a new battery it could be the device or the charger It's self. Hopefully its something as simple as needing a new battery but you must do some experimenting to find out. I'd start with a new battery and see if that corrects your issue. Best of luck.

Charging time

I wanted to get an idea of how long it takes people to charge up their phones? I have noticed that my phone takes a long time. 4 hours our more usually. I'm using the stock charger with stock battery. Any body else having this problem?

I use anker extended battery and it takes me 3 hours or so to charge but i remember stock was taking hell of a while..
Sent From My Sexy Sensation.
around 3-4 hours, using Anker battery with the phone on. phone off, a little under 2 hours
Even with USB charger it does not take more than 3 hrs . Direct plugin to wall socket and its done under 1.5 hrs.
May be try using DX battery . Might help .
Sorry can't post apk using mobile app .

Try restarting the phone. For me after this is done, charging time improves significantly. Don't know why but it works.
My phone charges in about 4 hours or so. However, my car charger does it in half the time. It may be the lame charger that comes with the phone that is the problem.

Observe it first then do another charge cycle when your battery drains out . Then observe it again.
Try wipeing battery status in recovery

Yep try with battery stats wipe, another idea is, install "better battery stats"(search in xda) and check out what's doing what. Changing the charger maybe some freeky coincidence
Thanks everyone, just calibrated the battery , seems to be fine now i guess, will report after charging a few times.

Ridiculous battery drainage

I recently switched to hyperdrive ROM again, and the battery drain is absolutely ridiculous.. I watched 4% drain as I was making this post. I have included screenshots of battery stats, can someone tell me what's up? One thing to note is that it may be my charger, because I bent the metal part that goes in my phone a while ago. Should that affect the battery life? I just wanted to make sure it wasn't something to do with my setup before going out to buy a new charger.

I see cray drains when I flash a new rom too. A charge, a complete discharge, maybe twice and it goes back to normal. When was the last time you did that?
Same it usually takes a couple of days for me to see real battery life in a ROM. I'd test it out for a day or 2 and see if you have any improvements

Looking for an update from OP. C'mon!

do you calabrate your battery after switching roms?
That's been debunked but you can akways try.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
What kernal are you running? Depending on the governor, I got really bad battery life with 4glte . Its kind of trial and error though.
Let the ROM stabilize for a while.
