SRS Enhancement? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

On my old HTC Incredible 2, the music player came with SRS enhancement baked in, which I like more than the other sound mods, but I can't find it anywhere
.. Is it even possible to get it on other phones? And if so, how?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app

Those Srs enhancements are in acid audio mod and others like it.

Can you use the SRS enhancement by itself with those? Because it was my understanding that all the sound mods were mixed together

Technically no Acid is a combination of audio technologies those technologies aren't sound mods themselves the end product that is Acid is a sound mod. There are i believe 5 audio mods/dsp processors for this phone as of now. Those are Acid, Viper 4 Android, Nooxyide, volume hacks(increases volume beyond the normal loudness) and clear audio+ with audiofx widget. At the moment the only Srs related mods are for older devices.

Beats Audio and xLoud mod

Just a heads up to those who may not know, there is a Beats Audio/xLoud mod/port on the board and it works on the Atrix 2. Beats adds a deeper, cleaner bass and cleans up the mids/highs too. xLoud is a Sony Ericsson thing, it basically boosts the overall volume of ur audio. I just flashed this mod to my phone and holy ****, huge difference! I had to turn all my volumes down media/ringer/alarms. My good cans are packed (moving this weekend) so no testing with them yet but after hearing the difference I just heard with only the phone speaker I'm expecting to be very happy.

where is the xloud .zip file?
Whoa - déjà vu!
xLoud is included in the zip.
Audio volume really is increased overall (I too had to turn everything down) and the beats makes the bass sound sweet!

Maybe its just me, but I can't seem to find a difference in quality using the car dock. Audio goes out the car docks 3.5mm jack to my Volvo s60r's stereo. I was hoping for some more volume.

Yes you can, it will just overwrite the one you just installed.

Tried this tweak last week and it's great. My highs have come alive and it sounds much cleaner.
So how does the mod affect the Motorola stock equalizer?
I'm assuming the beats audio is only effective in the My Music app? So do I have to disable the "Effects" in settings to hear the Beats Audio? Or should I switch that to custom?
This work well seems crisper...... Did notice if the bass is overpowering the mids and lows go to sound settings and un-tick enable audio effects..... For me with headphones will set effects enabled effects profile custom surround ambient eq bass punch WOW!!!!!

Mine are....I have had to turn all my volumes down since installing this mod. I haven't done any critical listening since I don't use my phone like that anyway, I was just hoping for louder system sounds and that's exactly what I got. The Beats is just an added bonus.
Ok are we supposed to download the one that says older zip files test301.zip or the allandroidzip.zip that looks to be the newest?

Yea these are some of the same complaints I've heard about the actual beats headphones because they're made really for more hip hop songs and not a wide range of music the highs are where those headphones usually suffer IMO

I couldnt really notice a huge difference through headphones, but when plugged up to my cars stereo which i have put some money into i can notice a huge difference.
Thanks guys greatly Appreciated I use it in my car as well I got full custom system

Beats is nothing more than a software equalizer. For the same effect (plus a lot more customization), try Volume+ from the Play Store. It even has a "Beats" mode.
There's also Equalizer by smart android, I've got it on my phone & the difference is awesome!

I'm wondering this as well. I've been using Mort Player for music (unless someone can recommend something else for audiobooks/podcasts), but the EQ settings between Mort and other external EQs don't seem to make a big difference (and it should, based on my headphones)
Here. Both .zip files are to be flashed in CWM. Beats Music Player is pretty sexy too. The music player can be installed on any ROM. No need to push. You can download and install or simply bake in ur own custom cake, ...fruit.

The player is not that great.
But, you don't have to do all this to get the Codec's/Drivers and the improved sound quality.
Just download the "Beats Audio Installer" from the Google play store (Free), run it, reboot the phone and use your favorite media player.
I have awesome BEATS. When using it with just phone speakers, No big difference. When in the car with a loaded system, GIANT difference!
Is the huge difference when playing through headphone jack?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda premium
I've tries both I'd rather have awesome beats because Beats Audio causes in call volume low I've notice and it stops certain equalizers from working

I don't ever listen through headphones, but listening via bluetooth with my car stereo, it does sound much better. The most reliable way I know of to install is through the Aroma KoaK zip installer v.847 which can be found in boobah's thread here.

Audio engines shouldn't mess with GSM/CDMA calls.
I think your problem is something else.
I flashed this and lost audio. Nothing can create a sound, Apollo, Play Music and even pressing the volume buttons.

Long shot with CM10, since audio works with dirty fixes and flashing Acid over it messes everything up.
RIL is a known headache with CM9/10. I'm currently running a RUU to fix any corrupt radio files that may have slipped in.
I remembered I cannot RUU because I'm a HBOOT 1.02 S-OFF tester. I will try CM9 instead.

I will wait for 5.0 and try it. If it doesn't work, then I'll push forward and ask Team Acid for help.
I'm downloading 5.0rc2 right now, hopefully it will work.
Awesome News! Ac!d Audio RC3 works without any call voice corruption issues!
You may ask where to download. Sadly, beta testers are prohibited to post beta download links or give ETAs.

Beats audio gone? URGENT

Okay I flashed the cyanogenmod rom... and im not sure if i still have my beats audio because everytime it used to show a beats audio logo on the top and even in the notification bar and it had a circle with a green check next to it giving u the option to turn off and on beats audio...now not so much.. can someone tell me if i do or not and can u help me get it back if not?
Beats audio was more of a software than a hardware feature on the One X. The cm10 people and probably most of the us who use it would prefer and point you towards the DSPManager app that is installed. That gives you a fuller control over the equalizer and is typically better than the beats audio software.
Also try jet audio player.. It's awesome and has an equalizer, a bunch of presets, and you can really tweak the sounds.. I look in the themes and apps to find a copy

You should be glad.
Beats audio is just a gimmick. An equalizer, a software feature, not hardware.
The audio engine that comes with CM10 is much better , and acid audio,,etc.

Agreed. Beats isn't even necessary if you use an amplifier like Poweramp. What Beats adds is hardly anything but a bit of low bass resonance. If its off and you have an equalizer you can easily make up the sound difference with said equalizer.
I happen to enjoy Poweramp. It turns my car audio setup Into an even more powerful stereo due to preamp etc.

It seems that Digital output gain controls not only affects volume on headphones but also in-call speaker volume. I need to have very low digital gain for headphones (for good quality) but then in-call volume on speaker is very low. Is there any way to set digital gains for speaker and headphones separately?
