The first time i flashed PAC ROM, the old version from the general board, it had a full screen drop-down, i thought it was pretty cool. I'm not sure why it was there or why its not now, but given that, I'm sure it is possible.

OK, i was able to duplicate it by using the phone ui in paranoid prefs, but it cuts some of the screen off. Maybe exposed-framework or some grunt work can allow for a resizing of the notification drawer, but not the rest of the system ui? Don't know

OK, i went to paranoid preferences/interfaces/workspace/system ui, and changed it to phone. Now it has the whole screen and full-screen notification shade. I'm using jelly am, but i imagine it would work with paranoid ROM or pac-rom too.

[Q] AOKP

Can someone tell me something about AOKP?
Does the default install of the latest build (40, I believe) include a transparent (even partially) notification dropdown?
Yes, it does have transparent lock screen. I don't think anyone will give you a list of features when you can just go to the website and see for yourself.

Not asking for a list of features, and I wasn't asking about lock screen.
I want to know about the notification background.
It's not listed on their website that I've seen. It's just a simple swipe down on the status bar and either it is transparent or it isn't...

Not sure if you mean transparent in AOKP in general, but I'm on b39 at the moment and yes its about 30 40percent transparent.

That's what I wanted to know. Thanks. I've been wanting that in a ROM and I haven't been able to do it myself (like I used to on my OG Droid). Makes me lean even more toward AOKP.

It's customizable in the ROM Control settings as well.
Sorry, I thought you wanted to know all about AOKP. Misread the notification question as well. Going back to bed now...lol.

I remember seeing that a while back, but I went through while answering earlier and couldn't find it, only status bar transparency.

Jelly bean Fade animation from the gn?

In this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=poSFV9_abcw&feature=youtube_gdata_player at 1:35 I just noticed that on the galaxy nexus when you pull down the notification bar there is a wonderful fade effect that unfortunately is not present on my 4.1.1 nexus s... does anyone of you have it or is it something Google voluntarily removed from our jelly bean ota? Is there any way to enable it?

Heh. That's pretty cool. Forgot about the 2 finger pull down trick.
Yes, the double finger pull down is very cool bit I wonder why Google excluded the fade animation, it doesn't look too heavy

Love it! I was getting so bored with the stock lock screen. It's really hard to believe this is only in beta. Keep up the great work! Just one thought... changeable themed icons.

Yes, very cool! Trying now.
+1 @projectvomit on the themed icons.
I have noticed a strange thing. When booting, the phone will boot into original lockscreen for about 10-20 sec. Then start Cover. Is there a way to boot directly into Cover? This is minor to me, but I have a feeling some people would cry about it.

Screen color adjustment on AOSP

Been searching for a little while (or maybe I'm just blind), but I'm running the latest CM11 M8 so there isn't any advanced options.
Anyone know an app that can adjust the colors of the screen, similar to in preview CM versions?

I'm wondering what these "gamma controls" commits are referring to as well. I just don't get how a user is to manipulate them.

If you ever handle a device with a really good display, you'll find the S3 to be rather lacking in accuracy (especially in whites) and tough on the eyes.

Before this week, I was using the "cold" display temperature setting in SlimKat but that's gone in favor of gamma controls. I don't really understand how to enable it though. I agree, the S3 display is aight but I haven't had the misfortune of looking at a better display yet .

i dont know the exact answer but,
it could be a custom rom and part of the rom script.
im sure if you were rooted and had the icons and knew which ones to switch, it could be done that way.
a more slim but possible way would be with an exposed module that allows custom nav bar icons. i dont know if that exist or not. i know there are some preset nav bar customizations.
hope that gives you some directions to look into anyways.
