[Q] How do you improve speeds on Unlocked Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 SHC I535 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

So I recently made my Samsung Galaxy s3 SCH I535 (originally a Verizon carrier) into gsm mode which now I have my AT&T SIM card in it.
Everything is working fine but the data. Rather then being on 4G LTE which is what I am paying for.
Is working on edge speeds. Can someone help me fix this?

Well, the Verizon version only works with Verizon's LTE. If you want at&t LTE to work, you need an at&t phone.

On the hardware side, Verizon phones only support Verizon LTE. So like the above post said, you'd need an AT&T phone to get AT&T LTE

Sell or trade the phone and get a tmobile one. Other than that there is no way your getting tmobile data to work.
That isn't entirely true. I got 2G (edge) working on a Galaxy S3 from Verizon that has been switched to T-Mobile. Just trying to find a way to get it to pickup 3G/4G now.
You need a stock rooted or touch whiz Rom!

Currently, nope. Edge is all you'll see as of now.

Is there an lte only option anymore? IIRC we used to do this in phone info app but that stopped working after the jb update...
That's how they got nexus 4 buzzing on lte isn't it?

[Q] verizon galaxy s3 on tmobile network help

Hi guys, so my mom has her gs3 on verizon and she bought a sim card for tmobile. We activated it and we get Edge data speed but nothing more. We live in a LTE area with great service but we just have edge. how do i get her data to LTE or HSPA+? Also when entering *#*#4696#*#* i dont get the option to change the LTE/CDMA radio like i use to
The vzw gs3 is not compatible with T-Mobile. Be glad you get edge
Different radios in the devices.

+1. Edge is all you can get with any non Verizon US carrier.

[Q] Whether does I535 support Tmobile or ATT WCMDA

I just bought a I535, unlokced and rooted. But seems it can't support either ATT or Tmobile WCDMA. Ive set up a correct APN, but it can only work under Edge network.(no signal if I change to WCDMA only) Is there anyone who use Tmobile or ATT? How can I do? ROM 4.1.1 VRBLK3

Hey lil buddy, i have probably 6 galaxy s3's one being my i535, and its my most pristine condition Gs3, i use a i747 which is an ATT GS3 as my main phone, all are unlocked, now from what i know about the i535 and i hope im wrong, is since its a CDMA phone, it doesnt support the same bands tmobile and att use for 3g/4g/LTE data, my i747 is on straight talk and works awesome, 2 of my tmobile T999's work awesome aswell, but only get HSPA+, which is 4g, but from what i hear on our i535's we cant get anything above EDGE when running on Tmobile or ATT.....i hope you find a solution cuz if you do please tell me!

Using cricket sim on device?

I have a straight talk S3 (Verizon based) and a cricket sim card. How do I make the cricket sim work in the phone?

You need a CDMA SIM from any CDMA carrier and it will work as soon as you put it in, then you set your APNs to Tracfone APNs.
If your Cricket SIM is a GSM SIM then it won't work, it MUST be a CDMA SIM.
Verizon CDMA LTE SIMs are only $3-5 on eBay. I'm sure you can afford the price and the wait while it is mailed to you.

I used a friend's Verizon Galaxy SIII at one point... kind of... it took a while to detect the network each time the phone started up and it was only EDGE/2G
So, it works for phone calls and very slow data... might be okay if you're usually on wifi, but it's really better to just have a phone that is compatible with Cricket's HSPA+ 3G and 4G LTE network(s).

They are asking about the SIM because they have a straight talk s3 and that device has to use Verizon S3 ROMs and that makes the Straight Talk S3 require a SIM to have working mobile data, it won't work without the SIM. They weren't asking if they can use a Straight Talk S3 on Cricket network.
