i have the phone rooted and have the super user app. now i want to unlock the bootloader.question:is VZW GS3 EZ-unlocker any good?
question 2 I don"t have service or sim card can I download boot unlocker to my PC then via usb upload to my phone. last question
From my hours of reading the only sim I can use is a prepaid.

I have an unlocked MT3G that I use on AT&T and I want to root it. When I first got the phone I know that I had to use my roommates TM sim to activate the phone. Since the phone is unlocked, do I need to do that again or can I just enter the APN info for AT&T to activate it?
OK so hears my question I currently acquired a t moble htc sensation 4g from a friend who cant afford it anymore. I have a free phone with 250 mins a month and it uses at&t network found that out by the phone number look up.
My nephew also has a t mobile Sim it wouldn't dial out but didn't say no Sim.
I already know that the phone has to be unlocked to use other Sim cards and I did method 1 of unlocking my phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1232107 but only the date was displayed instead of my Sim code now before I proceed with method 2 of unlocking I wanted to know if it would then recognize my Sim card and work or any other way to make it work before I use this method Please help.

I got the 'STRING: NOT FOUND' error on method one, so I moved to ADB Guide method and successfully unlocked it.

Thanks for the reply but I am worried it wont reconize my sim card whether the phone is locked or not locked
any other ideas please help

If you unlock the phone, it will still work with the original SIM card.
One possible reason that the other T-Mobile SIM didn't work is that it might not have been a newer 4G-capable SIM card, or the contacts became dirty ( they can easily be cleaned with a pencil eraser).

What sim did you put into your galaxy s3?
i also have the SCH-R530 from cricket, i was trying to use a GSM Sim with the phone but i get no mobile network message, the phone reads the sim because i can see my contacts and my provider even the APN info, i tried following this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1809314 but i wasnt able to make it work with any of the settings listed under Phone Info App. im using a Mexico Telcel SIM card by the way.

were you able to put the phone in global mode or choose a GSM network configuration for with in Phone INFO?
Any luck folks a friend bought anus cellular phone and they need it unlocked so if anyone can lead me in the direction of getting the phone unlocked thanks

OK I think it's hilarious that his friend bought "anus cellphone".
In all serious ness, I have a Cricket GS3 rooted with CM installed. Is there done setting I can modify to make it work when a T- Mobile SIM is entered?

I've had no luck with this i tried to put on the Verizon ROM but no luck it wouldn't even let me start the process
I wanted to put on the ATT rom but the owner of the phone took it back and was trying to return it to the US to have it exchanged (i'm from the Caribbean)

Yes as the unlocked phone will support any SIM card
I have my service with Sprint. I recently got me a Mega 6.3 for Sprint but it does not recognize my sim card from my LGG3. What do I need to do? If need be please provide me the link(s) for assistance. I couldn't find any. Also, I have the option of buying a AT&T Note 3 can I program or flash that to work with Sprint. It does ask me for a network sim pin unlock code but I don't have one.
