i am able to run the clockworkMod Recovery using the command "fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-crespo.img"
i am also able to boot in the fastboot mode.
In the fast boot mode it shows "no boot or recovery img"
I am also downloading the 2.3.3 version. Willl that help me?

You need to flash a recovery, then use that to flash any rom (which will contain a boot img as a part of it).

I am new to android. Can you give me the detailed steps how to solve my problem.
I can connect my phone in fastboot mode via the command line(Windows).
By "you need to flash a recovery" , did you meant "fastboot boot recovery-clockwork-3.0.0.5-crespo.img"
And i am not able to get anything by what you said "then use that to flash any rom (which will contain a boot img as a part of it)"..
Sorry for the inconvenience...Thanks once again...
Assuming your pc detects your phone and thd recovery file is in the same folder as your fastboot. Type this in:
Fastboot flash boot xxxxx
Xxxxx is your recovery.img file name. After that just install a new rom. Hope that helps.

1. Download ClockworkMod recovery and place the .img file in the tools folder of the Android SDK.
2. Put phone in fastboot mode.
3. On computer do:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery c:\android\tools\recovery-clockwork-3.0.2.4-crespo.img
***Note that when you do the above you need to include whatever file path and file name is correct based on your setup.***
4. After it flashes, press volume down to get to recovery, and press power button to choose recovery. After a minute or two, ClockworkMod will appear.
5. Use volume down to navigate to Mounts and Storage and power to select it.
6. Use volume down to navigate to mount USB storage and power to select it.
7. Use windows explorer to copy a flashable zip of a rom or stock rom onto your sd card.
8. Choose Go Back from CWM on your phone, back to Mounts and storage menu.
9. Choose Go Back again to the main ClockwordMod menu.
10. Choose "install zip from sdcard."
11. Choose the flashable zip file you put on your sdcard in step 7. Select YES when prompted.
12. Reboot system now.
This will get your phone back into working order. If you still want help installing Ubuntu on your NS, I'm afraid I cannot help with that.
Well now i am getting some hope. But i am still stuck at step 7.From where do i copy flashable zip or a stock rom.
I downloaded android 2.3.3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=965478

Yes, download it to your computer then, in CWM, mount phone as USB storage. Then on your computer copy that file, and open the E:\ or F:\ drive or whatever your phone mounted as, and paste it. Then unmount and continue with the steps.
it seems it's not working 4 me...while installing from zip file(Android 2.3.3),it says that installation failed
i exactly dont remember the exact error but it something said about "could not find /system/build.prop"..
I was able to install the cyanogenmod 7 for nexus S...

It sounds like the zip file of 2.3.3 that you downloaded was either a bad download or not a proper flashable zip. Do you still want to go back to Stock?
OK so if you still want to go back to stock, boot up CyanogenMod, download ROM Manager and then open it. Choose Download ROM, then choose Stock Images. There you should find a Stock 2.3.3 ROM you can download and flash. Then you will be back on completely stock, unrooted OTA.
Sent from my Nexus S using XDA App
if you want to keep it simple and go back to stock unrooted OTA as @matt2053 suggested, do as he said and download ROM Manager, follow his @matt2053's instructions and flash the downloaded Stock 2.3.3 image with ROM Manager.
however, if you wish to keep your current data on the phone, and not flash a new rom, you can download a custom kernel from the development forum here at XDA, and flash it via Clockworkmod recovery as a .zip file and the phone should boot up.
Thanks a lot guys...
Just one quick question,is it possible to use cyanogenmod 7 as well as android 2.3.3 simultaneously..while rebooting can i get a 'grub' kind of thing on my phone...
CM technically is based On Android 2.3.3. But I don't know of a way to set up a "dual boot" environment on the Nexus. You can on the HTC HD2 but that's the only phone I know of.

Download ODIN from here
Download CWM any version from here
Download ardatdats kernel from here.
How to Root.
1. Flash CWM Via Odin v1.85, let the phone restart.
2. Download Ardatdat's v4.2 beta 6 and place it in the sd card (it comes prerooted and is the safest option for rooting)
3. Now switch off the phone
4. Turn it on again and as soon as he Galaxy R screen appears, press the volume up+center button.
5. If you see "booting android recovery" that means u have done it correctly and you will enter CWM. If u dont see repeat step 3 and 4.
6. Now in CWM select the option install zip.
7. Then select choose zip.
8. Select the ardatdat's kernel zip file and select yes.
9. Let the process complete.
10. Wipe cache and dalvik's cache (option in CWM Advance) and switch off your phone for 5 minutes.
11. Turn it on..and your phone is now rooted and brick bug free.
If you do not wish to root via ardatdats kernel, download flashable zip of SUPERSU OR SUPERUSER. And follow the same steps from step 2.
How to Unroot.
Download the UNROOT package.
Flash via CWM.
Note: You cannot UNROOT if you are on ardatdats kernel.

So now you should be running a custom recovery and have root access on your device.....
Flashing a custom ROM isn't too hard, though you will need to use the phones original boot.img with the new ROM for it to work.
Thank you very much, take some time looking for ways to rooting my s7500t. This is the first article I find where there is a functional description. Thanks again.
No worries, I know how hard it was for myself to figure out the process, as there is next to no information regarding our (t) model.

This is simple guide for HTC One S ville2 (s3 variant) users for installing MiUi rom.
I am new to this but surely can be of some help.
You should have rooted device for installing this rom.
Before this I was having ViperS/C2 5.2.1 (Viper ROM by Team Venom ) as HTC stopped future support for this device. And I was dying to feel the new sense5.
And loved this rom.
Coming to MiUi..
I have installed this rom and surprisingly it surprised me Yes it is quite impressive. No lag. Fast interface. iOS like UI. Impressive quick settings.
here is guide for installing this rom and some problems which I faced in the process.
ROM download link- URL is in attatchment.
(In the above link you will find latest ROM currently 4.9.12 and also flashing guide)
First download the rom.
But wait..DON'T FOLLOW "flashing guide"..Cause here only I faced a major problem.
In the flashing guide you can follow the instructions to unlock bootloader if your device is not rooted.
But don’t install the Flashing kit.
PROBLEM-
In the step: “Installing the kernel” they have asked to connect the device to your computer. After connecting you have to install “kernel.bat” which comes along with the flashing kit.
If you try installing it, it will start the phone in fastboot mode and it will install a custom recovery in your device.
So on my device recovery which got installed was “clockworkmod recovery”. This recovery does not work with ville2. And somehow my previous OS i.e. viper got corrupted.
So when I tried entering into recovery mode, my phone got stuck on “Entering Recovery” screen.
And further when I thought I should drop the plan of MiUi and restarted the phone, it just got stuck on HTC logo screen i.e start boot screen.
So don’t followupper step.
Instead do this.
Download the rom in your Sd card. Do not extract the file.
And save a copy of rom on your computer.
From zip file of rom extract “boot.img”.
Now install Teamwin recovery- URL is in attatchment.
If you want to install recovery in fastboot mode follow instructions given on this link- URL is in attatchment.
After installing recovery enter recovery. (i.e. while phone is off press power+vol down to enter fastboot mode..there you will find an opt for recovery)
Take a backup of your previous rom from option given in recovery.
Wipe cache, dalvic cache and do a factory reset.
After doing this just install the rom file.
(If your rom file got erased don’t panic. In recovery press option “Mount”. From there mount sd card. And from computer copy rom file on your device.)
After installing rom enter in fastboot mode (power button + volume down)
Now on your computer install “venom kernel flasher”- URL is in attatchment.
Now open kernel flasher. Click on Manual tab at top.
Locate the “Boot.img” file which you have extracted from rom zip file.
And flash.
DONE.
ROM installation process completes here.
Now when you first start the phone everything will be in Chinese. Don’t panic. Go into setting tap on general setting tab at top and search for the option having small keyboard icon on its right side. Inside it first option is for language.

Sadly not, this specific recovery stopped functioning two updates ago, it just either goes to the chinese stock recovery when using the keys, or when ADBing, reboots to android.
This recovery is tested only with oldest Rom, i don't Know it work or not on Latest Rom, but you can try,
The only successful way of rooting Elephone s3 with latest updates is by using app called KingRoot. For me it worked perfectly...

Worked with KingRoot, but then you have a root that cannot be used for things like flashfire, so a tad pointless (and so far the scripts to exchange for super su haven't worked, as KR's new version really digs deep. Not to mention is full of adware crap.
