[Q/REQUEST] Camera Shortcut App - Android Apps and Games

Is there a camera shortcut or an app that when I click it, it will prompt me to take a photo with the app of my choice (default camera, camera zoom, instagram, etc.)?

Just make a folder on your home screen with camera, instagram etc? Apex also allows you to make a shortcut to a specific screen within the app, it's called activities.

Thanks, but I don't want to do a folder though, hence why I asked about a shortcut. And that Apex thing is nothing at all like what I want.

Do you have a Nexus 7? Search the Play Store for "camera launcher for Nexus 7" (without quotes). Get the one from Modaco. The other one has spam ads.

[Q] saving 4walled.org images on NS

Until recently, I can save images from 4walled.org directly to my phone from my default browser. Now it just saves as a HTML file instead of JPG. Is it from conflicting programs or 4walled changed their format? can anyone else confirm this?
thanks.

Double press home for any app.

I am sure there are many people who do not use the samsung voice ( vilingo) and the double press home is not used. This is like not using a hardware key
i use this homeMYhome from c3k user from the galaxy sII forum to remap the home button double pressand works well
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1299923
The download links are there in that thread
Before installing delete /system/app/VoiceToGo.apk
Works well when it works but after a while when I double click it makes me choose what app I want it to open, its as if the program loses its settings

edit build.prop and add the line qemu.hw.mainkeys=1
save and reboot. Make sure you have an alternate means of navigation before you do this though
use LMT
Full screen from Play store to navigate, build prop command from above to remove nav bar.

I actually just made a video tutorial on YouTube and posted a guide in the general section here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513910
What I did is edit the build.prop file and use an app called Button Savior to navigate. Works pretty good to be honest!

Yeah, I do know that and I mentioned that in my video. As you said, for temporary use it does the job!
Other than that, many apps that work on my Nexus 4 does not work on Nexus 5 as they probably aren't updated to work on the new device yet.
If I find something, I will definitely update my thread with new solutions!

Google have blocked access to it in 4.4 so the built-in app is no longer available.
Coming from CM10.2 I was hoping to at least be able to use this with my N5, but alas it's not so .

I believe they blocked the APIs used by the permissions editor which is why it crashes - but I'm struggling to find the reference I read that had this info.......
afaik they removed it completely. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47098228&postcount=2
One of the best features ever introduced to android and they remove it. Might even downgrade my N7 because of this.

I downgraded my N4 back to 4.3. Disabling app ops is terrible. Even apple has this feature: iOS alerts you if any app wants to access your contacts, or your photos, or your camera, and you have a choice to allow or not. Android 4.3 does not alert you, but at least you have the option to dig into the App Ops and revoke access to certain things. 4.4 is the first time an android upgrade dissapointed me (they destroyed the alarm app, the keyboard, the wifi indicator's activity/internet access, and App Ops).
App ops was never an official feature, so they technically didn't remove anything.

So? It's still a feature they included, with easy access, and then took away even though it was nothing but effective for the users...

I'm with you on the users defending Google like the can do no wrong, but definitely disagree about the YouTube g+ integration... They needed to clean YouTube up, and now I can see friend's comments on videos more easily and only view the comments and responses of certain people... That was a good idea..
I think Google is completely wrong by blocking this app ops function, if that's what happened here...

it doesn't text wrap or run smoothly like it used to, and has massive errors at the top of the screen when using full screen mode.
it's forced into a different mode because of kitkat's forced chromium mode.. it's a real pale shade of what it was pre kitkat

Thanks for the best version of the ASOP browser I've run yet! All the other ones had problems of one sort or another, some minor, some major, including the one that comes with an installer and is available in the play store. Your freshly compiled version is working great on my N5 and my N10 (both running stock, rooted 4.2.2), and I'll check tonight to see if it also runs on my Galaxy Nexus (which is a desk clock & remote control these days, but is still running JB, not KK).
It's the fastest version I've tried, syncs bookmarks perfectly, keeps my history as it should, doesn't require me to delete/rename the "BrowserProviderProxy" files, allows me to change the default user agent (which is REALLY necessary on the N10), and just works.
:highfive:
One tiny thing you might want to "fix" if you compile it again, is the missing "Find On Page..." menu item. It's the item located between the "Share Page" menu item and the "Request desktop site" menu item. Apparently the "Find On Page..." menu item resource is actually not located in the Browser.apk, and once resided somewhere else in the System of older versions of Android. At some point (maybe when Chrome became the default Nexus browser and Google stopped including the standard Browser), this resource was removed from the System, but was never added to the ASOP Browser, and so in recent versions of Android a "random" string shows up in the menu instead of "Find On Page...". On my N5 and N10 it's "System", but I think it depends on what Android version is running. Totally cosmetic; the menu item does what it's supposed to, regardless of what it says.
bradputt: Yes, just push them to /system/app/
I did
adb devices
adb remount
adb push Browser.apk /system/etc/
adb push BookMarkSync.apk /system/etc/
the adb reboot
still no browser, so I push them to system/app with root exp and set permissions, reboot. Now the browser show up, but when I open it, it say automatic Google signin then just close. Try to reopen it...it just close.
