This guy found a few ways to cut the lag.
FFW to 1.50 on the video if you want.
But it works

What I'm curious about... is if you said this the other day:
"I just came from an iPhone 5 and the GS4 is already back in the box. I used it for one day and it was pretty bad. I guess if I had used it longer I might have gotten used to the slowness of it but the fact that SVoice and Google Voice search didn't work over bluetooth in my car like Siri and Google do on my iPhone made me return it."
Why you're now posting links to random Youtube videos... I mean, despite this having been talked about and posted about for well over a week now, clearly you're pretty dedicated to a phone you no longer own... Or did I misinterpret something?

Netflix instant streaming...

Anyone know if we'll be getting that ability? I know the iphone had it, makes me jealous haha.

Netflix did have a job posting earlier in the year suggesting that they were looking for an Android developer.
http://pocketnow.com/tech-news/netflix-targeting-streaming-for-android-with-latest-job-posting
Rumor has it Netflix will have a streaming Android player soon, hopefully very soon.
For now we'll wait. I wish they just used flash instead of the special plugin they require. If you change ur UA String to desktop and try to stream a movie, it asked you to install their silverlight plugin.

Google TV is going to support netflix is it not? and that is just android
I believe the Netflix support is because of GTV has Chrome built-in and has the tools necessary to play it. There's an Android app in dev that targets mobile phones and tablets.
its coming give it a few...im sure it will have a better ui than the one on the iphone.

Question about streaming. Does 4G affect streaming audio/video or does it just affect downloading/uploading a file(s)?
Figured this would be a good place to post this, but is there a good Netflix app to just manage my movies and such?
Have you tried PhoneFlicks or QueueMan? I use PhoneFlicks and it works well, I've never used QueueMan but have heard it works well too.

NETFLIX FOR THE G2X will arrived soon

Hello everyone today I just got off the phone with netflix and told them my issue with the netflix app for the g2x, they basically told me the tech people are working on it I know the solution of the problem its basically the build prop( for example most android phones have model numbers but the rest its doesn't match so therefore the app is confuse of the model and the manufacture.) my suggestion is to call netflix if you have the g2x and tell them that it doesn't work the more people who call they can update it faster. and i know it works for eagle-blood and cm7 but if you like a Rom that your comfortable with why change it, its your rom and you deserve the best. take care people.
Running good here....
Cm7
Runs great on MIUI. Watched family guy and a few movies while I was out of town.

Really? Who gives a flying fig if it works on custom roms. This thread isn't about that. Stop building your post counts by adding crap that doesn't pertain to the thread.
I have tried MIUI several times and have come to the conclusion that if I wanted an iPhone I would buy one. WiFi drops constantly and WiFi calling doesn't work. There is no option to adjust HDMI output and HBO Go doesn't work. I will say the camera is better and the toggle screen is great, but other than that it doesn't work for me.
To OP - Thanks for the update. I have called several times and have yet to hear anything close to them admitting they are working on it. Every time I call they blame LG. Here's hoping we see something soon.

wtf people, everyone knows it will run on a custom rom, It has for a while, what the op is about is running netflix on a stock rom, I have tried all the custom roms and none have working bluetooth, which i use my bluetooth daily on my motorcycle for music, texts, and gps. So please stop posting what everyone already knows. Until these custom roms support ALL the hardware that came with my phone they are useless, tried them all, some are great but none offer bluetooth and netflix.
Maybe you should change the thread title to say stock because it will continue to happen lol

"by summer"

oh well that would be today nevermind

Loud Clicking and White Noise when Calling or Receiving Call

This happened after I installed ICS Roms. The Genesis Rom was working just fine but would take about 2 days to send a picture, if it would even send. So I figured it was the ROM and switched to the every single other ICS and now this loud clicking noise will not go away. I can't hear my wife and she can't hear me, everything else works just fine, SMS, MMS, and so on.
So, I went back to stock, I downloaded the original NANDROID backup followed all the steps exactly and got it back to stock, the only thing I didnt do was to use NVflash to return the bootloader to stock, everything else should be stock.
Could this be a hardware issue? If so, what should I do, basically my wife wants a new phone, she is done with the G2x.
Thanks
From Owains dev thread:
Running the new baseband on your p999? than you'll need this fix for ROM side support!
flash this after the ROMhttp://owain.hopto.org/T-Mobile LG G2x (p999)/Domination/new_baseband.zip

Someone needs to make a thread, title it something like "Popping noise when calling?????," have the body say, "And on 21y baseband?, flash owains zip!" With the zip attached... and everyone bump the thread 10 times a day (but no sticky because of how tapatalk displays threads).
Then MAYBE everyone and their mother, who refuse to do a search, can see that this has been asked 100+ times.
/end rant.

Plus they didn't even want this phone, so I guess I will sell it.
Good for her, but I am sad, now my S2 is the slowest phone in the house, thanks guys for all your help!

Thats a lot of speculative reading but there were a couple of people that did it but only a couole of the dozen or so threads I read. But I would still like to know if anyone here has done it. I don't have all day to read through thread after thread to find a couple experiences. I just wanted to know if anyone here has done it, if its worth it.. I was hoping for more responses with helpful experiences but it doesn't seem like too many people have actually had this done.

Well they don't pen it they put it in a vacuum and release a fog of sorts thats goes all through the phone. I ordered an obex case but saw this in an article a couole hrs after I ordered the case. Figured I would see if it would be a better idea instead of a case. Wouldn't have to worry about a crappy screen protector.. and Im not fond of the idea of shipping it out either.

You're better off with the case in my opinion. And you can check YouTube for some videos of people who have done this service. Ranging from your average person to reviewers.

I believe there's a section for the Chromecast, but it isn't possible to browse into it on Tapatalk.
Open question for anyone with a Chromcast. Is it common for the sound to get really staticy after about twenty minutes of continuous use?

its not a terrible device, google definitely needs to open source it so we can fix its problems. it still gets massive performance updates, and this static problem only happens probably 1/5 times i turn it on.
Thank you, I'll give Google's tech support a fair chance first. Although mine does it consistently, every time I use it, there may be something that can be done.
