Install a rom from the ext sd card - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

I download a rom in the sd card0 and moved to ext sd card.when i was ready to install the rom, show me this message ext sd card un mounted.I was stuck because I had move the nandroid backup to the ext sd card too.what i did was hit the back button a couple times until the phone boot, the phone change to stock and i had to re-install the rom manager again, and move the nandroid back up and the rom that i was downloded before to the sd card0,the problem was when i tried to re-install the nandroid back up the md5 not match.what i did was install the rom that i downloaded first.question it is possible to put a rom if the rom its in the ext sd card?If it is posible what i have to do,do i have change some setting or what? Thanks...

In mounts and storage in CWM there should be an option to mount external sd card, then just go install zip from sdcard then choose the external sd card

Android Recovery That Supports External SD Card

Hey guys!
Is there any recovery tool like ClockWork recovery, that allows "install zip from external SD"?
Thanks in advance!
External SD? How would that work? Where would you put the sd?

"External" means not internal. Like memory card, the one you put to get extra memory on the phone.

But all Recovery tools work with sd card. Unless I'm misunderstanding something?
They don't instal recovery onto the sd card, but they can read and flash zip files from the sd card.

For some reason phone's original SD Card is not accessible... Tried copying the zip ROM from Mem Card to phone using ES Ecplorer, it failed...
Tried booting CM7 with ROM manager, it comes up with the following error:
"SD Card marker not found...
Error verfying extendedcommand
etc
"
Maybe you can help?
Sounds like your SD card may be corrupt in some way. I've seen that before. I suggest you copy everything off your sd card then format it, then copy everything back and try again

Formating doesn't work... It does not delete all the files...

no external sd in recovery

i have my rom on my external sd so that when I wipe data on my internal it wont erase it, but when I go to apply zip from sd card it give no option for external. Only when I go inside the internal I see the obvious folder for external sd, but theres no files. I dont want to transfer my rom to internal and then it disappear when I wipe system and data before I flash the rom.
oh yeah....v2.5.1.3 cmw

you will need the zip file to install your rom on the internal sd, it will not install from the ext sd....when you do a wipe of data it will not erase your int sd, believe me I have a ton of files on my inter sd, with lots of zip files of roms that I have install.
so what you have to do if you have already wiped and you are sitting on the red CWM...is plug the usb cable to your phone from pc, after you are in cwm go to mounts usb storage...hit that, you should see it the inter sd pop in your windows explorer, copy your rom to install over to your phone, then do your wipes it will not take the files away from your inter sd...then install your rom...
the only way to errase all the information from the INTERNAL SD, is going into CWM, advanced options, erase or delete all the information with the options on there
i just booted into stock GB and did a factory reset with a format usb. After it restarted, i put the rom on my internal. I wanted my internal to be wiped clean before i installed. You just dont know the crap left behind from old roms.
I think it's because of CWM is not mapped correctly. Correct me if am wrong.

Hi,
Is it a new sd card?
Did you format it to FAT 32?
Make sure you backup all your stuff first.
Format it from the phone
Which .zip are you trying to flash? Is it anything that needs to be renamed?

Make sure that you have the recovery for the correct phone and that sd card is formatted with ext/2/3/4 or fat32
