[Q] Can't call untill i restart the phone in the morning.... - HTC Sensation

Hi!
After i've had the phone turned off during the night i start it as usually but when i try to make my first call it is VERY laggy and freezes up and i have to press power button to shut off or restart it. Then it works fine all day.... Why is that?
Have the latest update available in Sweden installed.
Please help it's very very anoying!

So you haven't root the phone or use a custom rom?
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk 2

seems that there's some kind of script in the rom that completely kills the app ...better keep it. but if you wanna remove it then I can give a trial process.
hit thanks for help

Hi!
It's S-OFF:ed with revolutionary HBOOT 1.27.1100
Radio 11.22.3504.07_M
But i've not installed anything else to get it rooted, i did get 2 OTA updates when i had restored it into factory settings after my son have had it.
It was some times ago since i used this and i've forgotten how to
Does it help to install the rest to get it rooted? ...

OTA Update. Over S-off?
Is that even possible
But if it's radio (or network) related issue. It must be region problem.
You can try to use custom rom (like ViperS)
But I hope someone with simpler solution can help you

Yes i was supriced as hell when i got two OTA updates.
Which super user binary should i use on this old Sensation?
Found: http://hosted.androidsu.com/superuser/ again
Since i have CWM installed i think it's just the binary i need to flash from within CWM?! Right...

First. You can change the recovery to 4ext because it has much less problems

Is there a newer costom 4.2.2 or 4.1.2 rom for Sensation that's faster than 4.0.4?

If you mean sense based it's still not stable (ViperS 3.0.2)
Or if you mean CM10.1/10 you can find stable roms of them

One more thing I've noticed is that every boot the apps are updating themselves. Why is that? I've just gotten 19 now, but when I've got 100, it will take ages to start the device.

It's got the best of both worlds! Stock AT&T ROM for good sound quality, but it's also rooted!
But does rooting the stock rom enable hsupa upload speeds? If not, we need s combo rom with a desire and am inspire, sound issue fixed, hsupa enabled.
Is this perma-root? If so how did you do it or can you provide a cwm zip file?

If he simply roots the stock AT&T ROM, it still will not have the Settings Checkbox for allowing non-market apps to be installed, thus he must still use a sideloading app or use "adb install".
That's what I figured.

This.
The problem is, the way I rooted, ro.secure is still set to 1 (adb sees the phone as a non-rooted phone) which means I can't use "adb remount".
If I could use adb remount, it's a really simple script to update the settings.db file to allow for sideloading

For your first custom ROM, I'd pick something a bit more modified than this. This is just a stock ROM.
Pick another such as a Team Nocturnal one, CleanROM, King Cobra etc. They have the extended quick settings, advanced power menu etc....mods that improve user experience ten fold.

Being stuck on 2.20 with no root is really starting to suck! This would be a great base. I assume one would need to keep the 2.20 (1.85) build prop to keep all the ATT stuff since this is German. I'm getting desperate for root like a crack head licking the floor for crumbs lmao.

Turge had to produce a 1.4.1 patch for his ROM to fix some FCs and also a Social-Network-Friendstream patch - so a few little gotchas with the ROM I guess. You could probably look at his patches to get a sense of the fixes.

No, that is incorrect. You are able to edit the system partition but not radio or rpm, tz, rcdata etc. with an unlocked bootloader but no S-OFF. S-OFF enables you to do anything and edit any partition.

I think everything you need is the relocked bootloader.
Yeah, the ruu will write the recovery back to stock itself. The only thing you need to do to run an ruu is relock the bootloader.
Keep in mind you will lose root if you run the ruu.
Thanks and yes i am very well aware of that and if he tryes to flash custom roms like Viper S,the phone boots just fine but there is no gsm signal,is it because of the kernel and can he use the stock cernel with the Viper rom ?

It sounds like it could be just a modem configuration problem. The first place I would check is: open up the dialer and type *#*#4636#*#* This will open a screen called "testing." Then go to "phone options" and scroll to the "preferred network type" option. Make sure that an option is picked that includes GSM. Be sure not to change any other options unless you know what they are for, this screen alters the core of the phone.
You also get to show off a hidden menu on your friends phone

it happen because the kernel is with write protection i.e. u can change the system partition ones but it be rolled back to stock after reboot
to avoid this you have to install a custom kernel with write protection disabled like Bullet proof kernel by flar( it is shared in forum have a look)
Ok thanks im gonna tried it with his phone when i have time and guess what that menu even works on my Htc One X
And know i wanna know if his HBOOT 2.15 might be causing this problem, because i see that most people on this forum have a lower HBOOT like 1.15 if im not mistaking ?

Root Note:
The version of SuperSU in the ROM is 1.65. Chainfire just updated to 1.69 (while I was uploading the ROMS).
For the most part it should auto update for you but if you have issues then just flash the updated SuperSU from his thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1538053

This ROM is not a CleanROM. Its a stock rooted and all yours!
Thanks to the following people that make what I do possible
DSI-XDA (Kitchen tools)
Chainfire (Root)
JesusFreke (smali tools for de-odexing)
Everyone who donates, says positive things and over encourages me to make ROMZ!
My Wife (for not feaking out when I go a day without sleep so I can make ROMZ, unlike most wifes, she gets it!)
The KitKat Bootloader from the OTA is attached.
Please dont ask if you need it.
Some report that the bootloader is not needed.
I always recommend it.
De-Odex is up... and had 12 downloads in a matter of seconds, lol
Please hit thanks if you download!
Uploading Odex now... But wont post it until morning... I need sleep!

I have a question... If I say its the official Google release; do you think Google would release it with a broke camera?
Yes, the camera works. This is the OFFICIAL OTA.
What happened to the bootloader file? Went to download it, and it was gone.

I'm blind or dumb, because I don't see the Odex file there. It says there are 2 files there, but only the De-Odex shows up.
