Nexus 5 Low Volume through Earphones/Headphones

Hi , I am new to android and nexus 5 . I have recently switched from Blackberry. I need a help.. I am finding the volume drastically falls ( and it is pretty low)when I try to hear through the earphones/headphones in the " play Music" and Play Movies" app.. they seem to be ok when I hear the same through the speakers. I have changed the earphones/ headphones as well. The settings --> Volume --> Earphone is set to the highest level
Hi,
You can try this:
[MOD][GUIDE][4.4.2] Headphone, Speaker and In-call Volume Boost for the Nexus 5.
[APP]Nexus 5 Real Volume Booster [Version 1.2.4 Realeased]+[NEW PRO AdFree version] (same thing as above but via an app).
[DISCUSSION] Viper4android.
Also some custom kernels have some settings for the sound, check the dev section).
What headphones are you using? With my ATH-M50s and Klipsch Image S4 I can only put the volume around 1/3 before it gets too loud to be comfortable. If they are higher impedance headphones you may need a headphone amplifier to drive them at a good volume.

[Q] [CM] [4G] Headphone volume to loud, DSP-Manager not working?

Hi @ all,
I recently purchased the Moto G and installed (after testing all functions) the newest Cyanogen ROM. I'm quite happy with the overall performance of the device.
One problem is still annoying me though: The volume of every type (ringtone, in-call,...) of the headphone jack is much too loud, even on its lowest setting, since I'm using very high efficiency IEM's. The DSP-Manager doesn't appear to work (does not request root access, no change in volume when activated)
I've countered some parts of this issue with the following steps:
-The music volume is lowered by the Poweramp equalizer
-The volume of all custom ringtones, notifications and alarms is lowered by 15dB via Mp3Gain on my rig. This doesn't really help, because now the volume of all custom sounds is too low without the headphones. I barely get up in the morning, but it is definitely better than blowing out my eardrums.
So the question is: How can I activate the DSP-Manager? Or is there another way to solve this?
Thx a lot
EDIT: Solved the problem by increasing the overall volume steps to 45 via modification of the necessary .jar file via this great guide (http://chrisdube.com/increase-number-of-volume-steps-in-android/). DSP-MAnager works, but only with media volume.

Boost music volume?

Hey guys!
I’ve been running my Note 10 plus stock since I bought it and I feel it's now old enough for a custom rom.
My biggest gripe with the phone is that I am unable to list to music LOUD with Bluetooth headphones.
I have the normal volume limiter disabled but I am sure it would be able to boost the volume even more.
A couple of years ago when I owned the LG V20 I had the phone rooted and was able to edit and XML file if I remember correctly and could boost the volume to any limit I wanted.
Is there a rom or any other option that let's me do this on the Note 10 Plus?
Thanks in advance.

Issue with AirPods 2

Hello
I've got AirPods 2 since years now which are working perfectly with any other device (Mac, iPhone, Windows computer).
However on my Xperia 5 ii I'm facing a volume issue: the max volume is not as loud as expected on the AirPods. It's pretty loud, but still 4 or 5 steps quieter than the actual max volume the AirPods are capable of.
I tried with some friends' Sony WF1000XM3 that didn't have the issue at all (max volume was the actual max volume of the XM3).
I tried disabling Dolby Atoms, disabling absolute volume (no effect at all even after reboots/unpairing AirPods - in fact if I'm listening to music while toggling the setting I'm hearing no change at all, I'm wondering if it's even working), disabled battery optimization for bluetooth package as suggested on Reddit... Nothing works.
As I'm rooted I tried Viper4Android to add some gain but then the sound is heavily clipped, not louder.
Any ideas ?
Thanks
