Touch screen - Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus S7500

Hello everyone: I have a Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus, which had sold me second hand but in very good condition in the initial tests I did not realize touchscreen failures ... There are times when works great but there are times when that does not respond ... Strange .. I do a test and everything seems ok, is there any way to test if the scanner or software really is?

It can be hardware or software issue... Look for some screen calibration app to check if screen is okay... And also try flashing latest stock rom... Not sure what is causing it so you will have to try everything...

i flashe xxkpe twice man.. it still didn't fix it -.-
it might be h/w problem also.. My i9003's back button stopped working in 2 months.. w/o doing anything!! I got that complete screen replaced
My sister's capacitive button started to activate by itself without even touching it. After flashing, it stopped. Sent it for repair and the service center said the touch panel needs to be replaced. Two different scenarios but maybe the same

kuya!
sent my sl to customer service.. they checked the phone and charged me Php200 just so they could say that it was a hardware problem (i was pretty aware that it was.. i didn't need to pay Php200 to be assured)... they said i should pay Php3000 to get a new touchscreen installed.. wtf -.- i don't have that much money at the moment.. are there simpler solutions to this?
i think i just got ripped off by samsung's customer service :/

That's what i said to my sister. But to check, we sent it to the service center. 3k??? My sister was charged with 5k.. waaaa!!! is your warrant still intact? I got my sl's(which is now owned by my sister) touch panel replaced through warrant because its top right side somewhat lifted up
Edit: Are u sure it's 3k???
Edit2: i just installed button saviour(a virtual back, home, recent apps etc which will be hidden on the side of your screen) on my sister's sl to get a temporary menu and back button.

No, warranty expired last April 30
5k?! insane man! I didnt pay 3k yet, still looking for cheaper alternatives
-i think my sl unit is defective, as in.. I bought a defective one. i've experienced more than 3 problems with this phone without even doing anything to it..motherboard broke itself, speaker too, sometimes t.screen doesnt work..-.-
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Why do they have different prices? you brought it to sm cebu right? Cyber zone, north wing? Try button saviour as of now. Or any app like it. Why do you have two phones anyway?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
Yeeeah sm. Gave my old SL to my brother but he's not a flashaholic like me -.- so i had to help him if he wants something flashed..
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
There are apps to help you replace the soft keys by placing a panel of soft keys at the bottom of the screen like in aokp. Use those first, they should help
Cheers

I am pretty sure that the service center won't even *try* to fix it, they change the whole screen, for example, if the memory chip goes bad, they don't change it, they change the WHOLE motherboard, with warranty or without it.

So the Jtag guy wouldn't service it, or tried to and failed? I would just send it to mobiletechvideos.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
I would be concerned with what caused this problem to begin with. Even if you pay to jtag it and it comes back to life if it bricked on its on like you said what would keep it from doing it again? Jtag might get it unbricked but if you have other problems they are still gonna be there when it comes alive.... I agree with xcrazydx mobiletech videos is great. If josh can't fix it then its unrepairable and cannot be fixed. Just search mobile tech videos in Google and contact josh with your problem and he will tell you what to do. I used him to fix a dead USB port on my old captive and he done a great job after others told me it could not be fixed he did it....

When you call into AT&T ask for the number to the warranty department. They will ask you a few questions to determine if that's the right department you are looking for. Just say you charged your phone and it no longer turns on. Eventually after lying a bit more you will have a replacement device on its way to you. Works for me all the time and have never failed yet.
They say all kind of things to scare you out of it, but nothing ever happens. I don't know if it is just my luck. I warranty at least 3 times for the year just to keep my phone looking brand new and I send it in working perfectly fine.

If you wanna keep karma intact call Samsung and ask them how much it would be to replace the digitizer. If you don't believe in karma just flash a ROM to it from another Samsung phone. Bring it to ATT store and say WTF my phone just stopped working.
Lol thanks rapstar I can definitely give it a shot. Here my thing jyazzie that your correct they don't warranty hardware breaking so by my son dropping the phone voided the warranty. But here my thing I have had other providers and they always warrantied at least one accidental replacement and for 199 I could just go and buy something else like a galaxy note. But seriously 199 for a phone that is on the do not sell list lol. Thank you all for the help and feed back. But I'll see if my work will let me get one temporarily.

I'd try to brick it through Kies, tbqh. Can be done without the screen on if you restore to 2.3 in ODIN. It's a risk that they see the digitizer and have a "WTF" moment, but you stand a good chance of getting away with saying, "I did the upgrade through Kies and now it doesn't work."

Indeed. I actually had Samsung replace my screen when I broke the glass a few months ago. They charged me 158 and they covered shipping both ways. I had the phone back in 8 days. Since they did the work it is still under warranty if anything else should go wrong. It was actually cheaper than any of the glass/digitizer units I could find online.

Give some proper details like which ROM you are using.?
Are you rooted?
Did you flash anything or installed anything new.?
Also, use Q/A subforum for the same
I am using stock rom ics indian version and i rooted my device.

Mine doesn't work either. Kind of used to it now since my phone is out of warranty and I won't pay 8000 INR to get it to vibrate.
Btw, it's not the first time. Happened twice. So I got it repaired from SSC under warranty. They replaced the motherboard both the times in order to fix it.

Here is a video explaining how to disassemble a similar phone to ours with the final objective being screen replacement. Not exactly what you want but it will give you a good idea.
You will need to replace the part. You can find it here and other places

Have patience and go slow. The power cable for example is very easy to rip in two...I did this and now have to solder on another one.
Whoa. Strangely, my phone's vibrator started working today! After being dead for like 6 months, it just started working again even when I did nothing. Lol.

Repair your phone as soon as possible because this spot is due to overheating and if you are using OC then use without it otherwise the only solution is to go Repair Shop
No i am not using it overclocked. I left it tethering and came back and found that. I dnt have an htc repair shop where i am and i dont trust these other repair guys. So i wanna knoe if its the lcd or what that is broken.

Well, your LCD is definitely breaking, its spreading out when hot because the heat makes the liquid more thin I believe. If you are sure all other functions are normal and that you are not getting any forced overheat reboots or the digitizer is fully functional then I would at minimum replace the LCD, if possible replace the LCD + digitizer as a whole unit as its easier to fit
