Question and request - Sony Xperia Miro, Tipo (Dual), J, E

So i want to ask how many are there with the network problem on whatever phone caused from instaling cm10 rom( in my case touchwiz rom), I have tipo and 2+ months i havent solved the problem, i ve noticed that there are few people with the same problem so now i am asking for the correct number.
And the request is for any good developer who want to help us to dont throw our phones, cuz phone which isnt able to call isnt phone.
And about the problem , after instaling a rom i lost my network on my tipo, (i tried everything, locking-unlocking bootloader, flashing with seus,pc companion, flashtool, changing few roms and simcards and etc...
everything work expect the phone cant connect to a network, so the pin window pops up and after i insert the pin number ( on cm10 says that i have to insert a vaild sim card and restart the phone althought my simcard is ok) and on stock rom says nothing, when i try to call it says not registered in network.

Probably a silly question but has re-registering the network in settings been tried

Has anyone asked fxp about this

All we need are the radio modules for any Xperia 2012 device. There is a Russian forum which used to provide the radios for those, here is the link for it. In case someone speaks Russian, he can try and get those radio modules from the sent link, would really appreciate. For others, you can try and google translate the website so you understand what is it all about.

I translated it and all the download links for the radio modules are dead

So can someone who speak russian ask them to give us proper link please
also i found a link with the same problem and after flashing that radio modules from the russian forum , the problem is fixed
so all we need are that radio modules and to find a link do download them

They said it can't be fixed! I did some research and the radios are in the baseband so if flashing that doesn't work then nothing will I think

did you try to wipe EVERYTHING inside your phone?

Yeah, we tried everything. The only possible fix could be the radio modules.

Yes, i've tried formatting cache, data as well as dalvik, but to no use..as soon as the phone boots, it restarts..
same for me... never worked... wonder why...
---------- Post added at 09:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:47 PM ----------
i've tried almost all cyanogen ROMs available on the development forum...
none of them worked for me...
each one boots up till the welcome screen and reboots..
thought that i was the only one with this problem.. now i'm not
Can you check by removing the sim after installing the rom?
I guess it has something to do with the sim being present.
Did u wipe dalvik cache as well before flashing rom??it might cause problems..
Chanve the sim u must be using a little old sim if you will try a new sim of 2011 also it will work fine sim of 2010 and before have problem with 3g baseband
Same problem with me!!!!
Old sim bug
Looks like we are not alone:
http://www.madteam.co/forum/support-7/64k-sim-bug-in-all-cm-build-1892/
hmm that's weird... how do i check if my sim's 64k?
Just checked, its a sim fault.
My brothers vodafone sim works fine, but my mtnl sim(probably 64k) causes the problem.
how do i check whether it's 32k, 64k or 128k?
and whats the difference?
maybe we can ask to the sim provider(costumer service)
haha... forget the SIM's class... MTNL guys wouldn't even know full-form of SIM.
What the hell is this. What a stupid little reason for not working of cm7. Btw thank you guys for finding out the reason of this problem

Japanese (Docomo) SC-03D - same ROMs etc?

Hello. I just bought an S II LTE on Docomo. Am I right in assuming (I decided this in a fever dream of tiredness last night, so I don't know where I saw it) that ROMs designed for this ATT version of the phone will also work on the Docomo one? I know the buttons are different, but perhaps the ROMs take that into account?
If I'm in the wrong place, does anyone know which ROMs I should be using? There doesn't seem to be much talk at all of my version. Quite worrying; don't want to stay on GB!

Have no idea what Docomo is. but compare the specs, if frequencies and such are same then u can flash. isn;t the phone called 727?
U would probably need a SIM unlock.

Just google things
Do you doco users have your own kernels I bet
Sent from my SGH-I727 using Tapatalk 2
It's called the SC-03D, it's mostly the same as the Skyrocket. Docomo is the network,
Since I posted this, I tried flashing a Skyrocket ROM on to it. Since the radio frequencies are different, I couldn't use mobile internet. (calls and wifi worked fine) - and because the buttons are different (the Japanese version has a physical home button, and touch buttons for "options" (whatever it's called) and back - whenever I pressed back, it acted as if I were pressing home.
I assume (as someone who knows nothing about these things) that the button thing would relatively easy to fix in a slightly modded ROM. They're the same buttons as the first Galaxy.
Now, the real question: How easy would it be for a modder to set the frequencies? Is it just a question of changing a text file? So then: Can I help? Is there any diagnostic app I could run on my phone to get the info required in order to make this ROM happen? I'm hoping someone could slightly modify the most recent AOKP and re-pack it as a Docomo variant, with not too much time or effort on their part. If there's anything I could do (as someone who lives in Japan and has this variant of the phone), then obviously I would help as much as possible.
Does this sound to anyone like something that could actually happen?

The Skyrocket is the closest phone to mine that actually has a section on XDA. Mine is a Galaxy S2 LTE (only with different radio frequencies and different buttons on the front; everything else is the same - Skyrocket ROMs work on my phone, apart from the bits I've already mentioned), not a standard Galaxy S2.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I flashed a ROM: It's safe to assume that I know how to flash a zip file in CWM. And I wasn't rude in my response, so what's the issue?
Do you think I haven't searched for the files myself? Why do you think I'm here? I'm asking here in case people more knowledgeable than myself have come across the same or similar situations, since this phone is the most similar to mine. To be told to "google it" is hardly useful, is it? That was obviously the first thing I tried.

That's why I asked if there's a way to extract the radio and kernel from my current stock ROM.
If you can get the partitions description table for you device you can make an img for both radio and boot...
But that's not guaranteed to work however...
Number 2 if you delete radio and boot images from a stock skyrocket ROM zip you will only be flashing the system...just delete modem.img , amss.img and boot.img (never forget also to delete the recovery.img) ... This way the zip flash can't find the radio and kernel to flash them with the ROM..But I can't guarantee you'll not end up with a brick or if you're lucky with a boot loop !

Did you get the official 2.3 update? If not then you are on old baseband. It's possible that the baseband patch used is faulty. Post #9 in the LG Optimus One FAQ has a download for a known good old baseband fix. If that's not the issue, I'd suggest changing ROMs.

You didn't answer the question I asked in my previous post. But in any case, loss of service means that your device is NEW BASEBAND. Just reflash any CM7 ( Android 2.3 ) or newer ROM and your service will be restored. Granted you may still end up facing your previous issue. I've been a member here for some time and I've never heard of anyone experiencing the issue you are having. It's possible that there is something wrong with your phones radio hardware. I am at a loss on this one.
Baseband is actually the radio frequencies that the device uses to communicate with the service provider. It's a constant on the device. Meaning that it never changes from ROM to ROM unless you use a tool like LGMDP to flash a radio/baseband. For the best stability, CM7 ROMs are the way to go. ICS has had most of the bugs worked out of it. JB on the other hand is really not a stable daily driver for our devices and is problematic when installing because of the small size, 190 MB, of the system partition.

This issue isn't related to Rom or Baseband. As you said.. you get signal but you loose it after some time. May be signal is weak where you stay.
Go to settings.. select network mode 2G. And network search.. Automatic. Still you get this problem then its your operator's issue.

Why are you questioning the people trying to help you?
Look either give it a try or deal with a borked imei.
The reason they are suggesting that is because unless you tried to install a vibrant rom all of the non stock based roms back up your imei and when flashing back to stock it is restored.
Again why are you questioning people offering help?

You will have better luck trying the link I posted :/ It fixed my IMEI about 15 times and I am have sent the link to many others to fix their problems. The link you posted will do you no good for two reasons. First, it is a guide about how to backup your IMEI which you already lost. (can't backup what you don't have) Second, the guide is for the Samsung Galaxy S III. If you do have a SGSIII, then you are in the wrong fourm and my link will screw your device over. If you have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G, then it will flash you back to GB rooted w/ CWM. If you are still secptic about my advice, then don't take it. Hope you enjoy a phone with no service.
Why r u ppl so jumpy?

All i try to do is to fix my imei and on the way im trying to understand whats going on.
The link you gave me was for deleting trash from my phone to save battery life (i personally thought that, maybe, you just copy pasted the wrong link), my IQ is well above average, but i guess im missing a connection between batter life trash files on the phone and recovering IMEI.
please enlighten me.

It was the correct link, and it works. What do you have to lose? Absolutely nothing. I will take all the blame if it doesn't work, but in my experience it does work. I have no idea why it works, it just does. I just want you to have a happy working phone. Sadly, I have not been on a "stock" ROM since I joined xda, so I have no idea how to fix your problem and keep you on stock. Out of curiosity, what Android version are you on now?

Well if your main point from that link is to go back to stock (you have mentioned to go part 3, which is just that) then it doesnt work..
Coz i flashed to froyo 2.2.1 and it did not help only thing that changed was that opposed to 00000000/05 i had 000000000/04 ...
I have also wiped the cache
Then i have flashed the GingerBread 2.3.6 kj6.
Nothing changes .. Tmobile doesnt accept phones with "0" IMEI.
im sure its possible to write it in .. just cant find it...
thanks.

[Q] Samsung Galaxy s4 MIUI NO WLAN

Hello there!
I am experiencing an issue with my device (GT I9505) after installing MIUI ROM two times. I used two different releases each time, the second one was the latest version of the ROM. I am using TWRP custom recovery for installation.
So, here it goes. I installed MIUI ROM on my device and I realized that my WLAN is not working. Whenever I try to turn it on, it only says "WLAN turning on..." and it doesn't change.
I went to MIUI official website and downloaded the LATEST (4.1.3) version of their software for my device and installed it again from scratch but the problem occurs again.
Do you have any idea what could I do to fix this problem?
PS: I am not sure if this is the right place to post this kind of question, but if I am wrong, please take my apologies.
