I'm looking foreward to getting adhoc work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (GT-N800). But unfortunately I can't find any working solution for the moment. The main goal is to get an adhoc pairing with my notebook (win7 x64). I've already read some tutaorials about how to replace the "wpa_supplicant" file. When I do this and I turn Wifi on after the reeboot the screen just gets stuck while showing "Turning On...", but finally nothing happens. After restoring the original wpa_supplicant everything works like before...
Has someone an idea how to get an adhoc mode?
Some general information about the tablet:

Hi, I have a problem with my TAB, it wont connect to any wifi, where as in 3G mode it works. Tried with manual configuration with DHCP and static. But of no use. Also rooted the device as per the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1239185&page=12.
Rooting was successfull, but the problem is same again. It strucks at "Obtaining IP address".
Device Details are as: Model:GT-P7500, Android Version:3.1, Baseband Version7500XWKG1, Kernel version: 2.6.36.3 [email protected] #1, Build Number:HMJ37 P7500JPKH2.

I need urgent help.. I decided to Root my Galaxy Tab 8.9
So I downloaded ODIN and decided to root it with a kernal tar.file.
I tried and what i got was an error ( it could not detect the COM port or something), so i tried to change the USB port and disconnect allthe devices and the second message I got an immediate fail because of the boot.img.
Now I am stuck in this Odin3 download mode and cannot exit it. (The device cannot be turned off, it doesn;t react to anything. I used Odin V1.30 and 1.87.
Is there somethign i can do now? Should I just wait till the battery runs off ? Because all i get is this screen and it doesnt react to anything else.
PLease this is urgent!!

I tried restarting my device, using the famous *#*#526#*#* and also "fix my wifi" but unsuccessfully.

Ok, the problem was fixed after flashing cm11!
my friend's dad gave me his Samsung GT-N8013 tab to help him fix it.
the tab is not rooted and USB debugging is not enabled. The man also does not know the OS version in the tab. As a matter of fact he does not know what is JB, ICS or Kit Kat. He only knows them as desserts.
The problem is that the note does not boot, it cannot go into recovery, it cannot even turn off except u plug it to the charger.
it can only boot into download mode so i downloaded the official OS and tried to flash it using odin but it does not work. it says pit file missing.
i do not know how to help him. Please we will need your help
