not the kdz. I'm looking for a system dump that is a flashable zip via cwm or twrp.
Try this: http://d-h.st/bqj

As your post is some years old, I'd just like someone to confirm that this is the right way to go about upgrading my LG P920 Optimus 3D phone from stock android 2.2 to ICS? The inbuilt OTA update option isn't working any more and any custom ROMs I've found that are still downloadable require a working stock ICS as a base. I'm coming from a Galaxy which I installed Cyanogenmod on, so I have some limited experience with CWM.
Any help much appreciated, I seem to be later than most to the 3D smartphone party :fingers-crossed:

Hello everyone!
I need to get original GB rom to get on my p500, but my usb mass storage/debugging mode is dead, so my phone is not recognized by any computer using different cables. I have also used hardware reset and i am running out of options.
I know that KDZ updater is used for original software but is there another way to do it other than usb?
Is there any other solution?
Thanks in advance!
Can you enter recovery? If so i can get you a zip of, V20G or V20I they are stock ,but its already deodex ,apps2sd ,rooted, busybox and runparts dixda kitchen tweaks only but if you want one of those p.m. me i send you link.

Yes i can enter recovery. That would be a lot easier to get warranty. Thanks a lot i will send you a pm.
If anyone else could share a zip of stock V20x that is not rooted would be very much appriciated.

I don't know how it is in your country but in Romania by rooting a rom you already break standard warrenty.

That is the same in my country, but it is still better to have at least stock UI/rom.
Oh and i forgot i have old baseband radio. Do i need stock froyo now?
U can switch to stock froyo to convince LG to fix ur phone if it is Broken.

Mine got with ICS, but the mainboard was broken... they fixed it free
Sent from my LG-P500
In case of broken mainboards, from what i know, they can't tell if the phone had custom rom or that it was even rooted because your system partition is on that mainboard and it's not cost effective to try and salvage the system partition to prove you broke the warenty.
Stock froyo or gingerbread would not raise any suspicions at the service but then again, they can be installed only via kdz witch needs usb, the thing that is broken in your phone. From my knoledge.
Maybe after you flash the rooted froyo or gb you can unroot? Haven't tried that on flashable gb or froyo. If that would work i think you would be safe and the warenty would remain intact
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
i already send you link you can unroot rom after install it.
I have decided to try to flash stock froyo + stock recovery. Hopefully it will leave no trace of my custom rom and rooting activities
Searching this forum and google I have only found one flashable zip of stock froyo V10e, since almost all links are dead or threads are closed, but for my country it says V10d. Can anyone that still posesses these files, reuploads them somewhere? Since our phone is getting older, people with a problem like mine might still need them. Or this isn't really important?

After the ICS update from HERE I haven't been able to flash. I tried the method listed HERE and HERE. The error message I'm receiving is in the attached pic. I tried asking around for a few days, but no replies. Here's hoping someone knows what's going on. I'm assuming its a driver issue. If someone wants to help over teamviewer that would be much appreciated too. I'll be on for the next 12 hours.

And my bootv21e rom
Also download a p925 rom
And extract p925 kdz rom to bin and fls file.

I managed to install the ICS rom on my P925 Thrill. Played with it for about an hour. It was unstable as all heck and tried to reinstall the V21E firmware but it didn't work. I had to install the old V10g or whatever it is and then I was able to install V21E. For flashing and upgrading, I miss my Samsung phones lol

Did he help you install the baseband or did he help you restore download mode in order for you to go back to gingerbread?
I read your other thread about restoring download mode, I am not asking for teamviewer assistance but if it is that complicated and you are willing to help in January then please put your ported ICS rom into a kdz file in order to be able to reflash your ICS ported rom with the baseband all at once through the other flashing method (the one that only recognizes kdz files) *if flashing like that without restoring download mode is posible...
I do not want to go back to gingerbread, I only need to flash a working latam baseband (or equivalent, HSPA 850 baseband) into xbsall's ported ICS rom...
Hi guys, sorry for the new thread but I have read all the xbsall thread about the costum ics rom and I have not seen the link to download the rom:crying:
please help me thx:crying::crying:
It's the link that says Greek ics or something like that it's right under the instructions I believe

Here's xbsall's dev-host link right to his rom. You need to follow his guide and such on how to get onto ICS first.
http://d-h.st/XO5
Dont flash this directly from gingerbread.
You need to flash first the ported ICS rom otherwise you will join the halfbricked party.
half bricked after party at my place xD... anyway u should add the 4.2 keyboard to your ROM its working like a charm on my P925

So after you flash bootv21e, can you power on your phone and what happens? Does it boot into CWM?

It will automatically boot into CWM after flashing this ROM. and then you just need to use factory reset :cyclops:

You bricked your device !!!!
You must flash ICS with "LG flashtool" not install ICS .zip rom!!
You must reflash gingerbread *.bin Rom or ICS *.bin Rom with "LG flashtool" or "LG smart flasher" .
Use LG smart flasher it is easy .
Good Luck
