DOWNLOAD
IMPORTANT: Before downloading the ROM and flashing it blindly, YOU MUST READ AND UNDERSTAND the important information shown here, ELSE DON'T WHINE SAYING IT DIDN'T WORK AND THAT I DIDN'T WARN YOU.
1. This ROM DOES NOT SUPPORT CUSTOM MTD. You can do it, but don't come asking for help if you use it and something doesn't work and you break your device or whatever.
2. You NEED. I repeat, N-E-E-D ClockWorkMod Recovery v4.0.1.4. NO, it WON'T work with Amon_Ra or anything else. It might flash, but it doesn't install everything correctly. You can get such recovery HERE (Fixed).
3. Do a FULL WIPE (/boot, /data, /cache, /system, /sd-ext) before installing this ROM. NO, it's NOT incremental and if you try to install it over a ROM it WILL format these partitions.
4. This ROM has been tested ONLY with RADIO 6.35.16.19 AND 6.35.10.18.
5. Last but not least, I would like to say I am, but I'm not responsible if by flashing this ROM you start WW3, your PC explodes or makes your phone become a Cylon and assimilates you (wtf xD) so... as always with any other ROM out there: Try it at your own risk.

NOTE FOR 32B USERS: This ROM -works- for 32B ---BUT--- you have to flash an appropiate kernel for it to work, as the included one only works for 32A. And yes, there's no CWM Recovery BUT YOU CAN USE AMON_RA 1.7 (only 32B). Also, camera may or may not work, I've found it's random, so your device may vary. Still, I think it's worth the flashing . Enjoy 32B users! thanks to all those who have helped to test it in their devices ^_^!
PATCHES / UPDATE.ZIPs
These are update.zip files you can download into your SD Card and apply using ClockworkMod Recovery v4.0.1.4 to archieve some desired effects in the ROM.
You can apply them anytime unless they say they're made to be applied ONLY after flashing the ROM zip.
Most (if not all) of these patches are ROM-independent. If you're using it in your ROM to help your users, PLEASE GIVE PROPER CREDIT!, or if I find out (and trust me I will) I'll take them offline. Thanks .

PROBLEMS?
Sadly, I highly depend on the details you provide in order to help you. If you have any sort of problems, please follow the following steps:
1. Make sure you have ADB installed, up and running. There are lots of tutorials on how to do this on the web and on XDA. It's an easy process and helps a lot.
2. Turn the phone off.
3. Open a command/terminal window and type "adb logcat" without the quotes.
4. It should say something like "-- waiting for device --".
5. Turn it on as you would normally (this means, no pressing the home or volume buttons).
6. You should see lots of output. Wait 2-5 minutes or so and copy the output to Notepad or somewhere else.
7. Paste it on paste.ubuntu.com, pastebin.ca, pastebin.com, etc. or send it to me through PM as a compressed file (ZIP, RAR, whatever works).
By following those simple steps, we all can benefit from your help, including the assistance you can get from it.

So far, it's stable for daily use .
Yes, the kernel is OC ready (it comes from Carz's latest one ). I haven't tested tethering, but it should. I haven't had any FCs or similar. Sometimes the screen doesn't come back up but it does after a few button presses and in rare occasions, mostly when playing music and I'm on the street so I can't take a logcat in those moments lol but I need to fix that for sure .

The network splash screen takes a while. For how long did you let it boot?
Try to get a logcat:
Turn the phone off
Run "adb logcat"
Turn the phone on
Wait around 5 minutes or so.
If you see something similar to the first few lines you see when it boots it could be bootlooping, but I don't know for sure.
When you get the logcat, paste it somewhere (pastebin.com, pastebin.ca, paste.ubuntu.com, etc) and post it here so I can take a look at it, or zip it and send it to me through PM, and I'll try to solve it
thank you for this rom, gonna try it out later
previously using eclair with sense
hope wifi, bluetooth, thether, will work properly
thanks again!

Okay guys, I think I know what's wrong...
I think I forgot to mention to flash Carz's kernel after flashing this ROM. I'll try to make an updated 0.2 with the kernel included - or - you can try to download Carz's kernel and flash it and try to boot again.
This will fix the Wifi/GPS/boot issues -------------------------^
Download link: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=Q3TMCQGM
To the rest of you, thanks for the support! ^_^
question
hey darkguy2008,
I flashed carz kernel and still no boot. Does this rom use custom partition?

Nope, it doesn't. Right when it's on the carrier logo screen, can you run "adb logcat" and see what does it say? it should stop saying "-- waiting for device --" and start throwing up a lot of data, doesn't it?
AFAIK, ROM stuff doesn't touch (or affect) fastboot at all. Worst thing I've gotten is the phone going back into recovery after an unsuccessful boot :/
I'm gonna upload v0.2 now, try with it when it's done
Hello
Version 0.2 doesn't boot.
Stays at HTC Magic
Any solution?
Thanks

I did follow the steps exactly the ADB logcat stays at "waiting for device" 20 minutes maybe is not compatible with my device the first one of many that I have tried I guess there is always a first time.
My device is a magic is yours a magic too? I was looking forward to your 6.35 radio rom as I like froyo they seem to run real smooth on my old radio 3.22 setup.
Thanks

My device is a magic is yours a magic too? I was looking forward to your 6.35 radio rom as I like froyo they seem to run real smooth on my old radio 3.22 setup.

Yes, mine is a Magic 32A, just like my signature, except I have a different recovery now. Maybe that's the issue?
Try carz's recovery:

Yeah, first time too, because I have tried lots of roms and never gotten such issues ... USB and ADB are a little picky, try replugging them, try to get back to a previous ROM and see if you can get ADB in it. If you can then something's up with the ROM, if you can't, then something's up with your PC setup (mostly ADB+USB issues :/ ).
If you get your SPL and Radio the same as I have in my signature, you shouldn't run into problems

I used the same recovery but cant get anywhere with the rom. ADB and logcat is fine starts few seconds after the splash screen appears in all ROM's even froyo by lazslo a G1 rom with ezterry's auto kernel. I will try some froyo kernels and see if I can get it to boot. Will keep you updated.
Thanks for for your effort

Attention
If your phone boots fine the first time after flashing the ROM, but get stuck on boot after the first reboot. Remove battery or press "Vol-down+trackpad+power" and hard-reboot the phone. After this it should work just fine.
Missing Features
Stable Video Recorder (The correct hack works, but needs a bit of work)
-------------------------------------------------
The CM9 source is still under development. Some things will be missing, and others might at times be unstable. Do not post questions about missing CM stuff or empty settings placeholders. And remember that this ROM, like the source it's based on, is not a final release.
Bug Reporting
This is how you do a proper report on a problem. Do not go to the thread and write "My phone does not work". It is useless information that can be used for absolutely nothing other than for us to respond "To bad".
Instead you should provide proper information about what your issue is about, how/when it happened and possibly provide a logcat and/or partition/mount information when this seams needed.
We do not have access to your device, we cannot see what you see, so without proper information we have no way of knowing or finding out what caused your problem. Only you have the possibility of accessing the necessary information.
Known issues
Device seams ded. It does not wake when pressing the buttons?
Go to Settings->Performance->Processor and change Governor to SmartassV2
-------------------------------------------------
Certain apps does not show in app drawer?
Go to app settings, locate your missing app, force close, delete data/cache and reboot.
Type "fix_permissions" and reboot.
-------------------------------------------------
Some google apps gives permission problems?
Look for a notification about granting permission, grant this and restart the app. Some times 2 or 3 restarts are needed.
-------------------------------------------------
Market download problems?
Open app settings. Go to Market, force close, clear data/cache, reboot to recovery, clear dalvik-cache.
-------------------------------------------------
Market payment problems?
Delete your credit card information for your google account and re-add them.
HBoot
This ROM needs at least 180mb on the /system partition. Best choice would be AplhaRev Data++ as it leaves some space on /data as well.
Warnings!!!
Do not restore app data from old Gingerbread backups (APK's are OK but not the app related data)
Titanium backup can produce problems when used to restore apps. Make sure that this is not the case before writing bug reports
Do NOT setup your sdcard (Fat32) partition using CWM Recovery. This will produce a lot of different problems along the way do to a bug in the recovery. Use 4EXT Recovery instead
The sd-ext partition should be no more than max 1.5GB in size. More than this can produce issues
A2SD Scripts
Mounts2SD
This is a highly costimizeable script that is made to work with any type of device with any type of ROM. It comes with both shell controlls and a GUI Settings menu with the native settings of this ROM
You can use the commad "m2sd <command> <value>" to alter configurations from the shell. Use "m2sd help" to get all available options.
The GUI Settings menu can be located at Settings->Performance->Mounts2SD
Mounts2SD Home
Init.d
This ROM comes with Enhanced Init.d
Kernel & Ramdisk
If you flash another kernel, do not flash an entire boot.img but only zImage. Otherwise you will break Wifi among other things as this ROM is build with custom modifications to the dhcpcd control which is build-in to the ramdisk.
KSM Memory Management
Do to heavy memory load with OpenGL support, it is recommended to activate KSM to reduce the memory usage and avoid problems like random reboots.
This is done by going to "Settings"->"Performance"->"Memory Management" and check "Kernel samepage merging"
You can also activate zRam if you still encounter low RAM issues

Credits
Over the last couple of days I have received a lot of credits for this ROM, which is great and makes the time and effort worth it. However it would be very wrong to except these alone as I am not doing this all by my self. Credits should also go to every developer modding and fixing stock source. The CM team for their great work in making the Android Framework what Google should have done a long time ago. Kernel developers trying to back-port drivers that vendors refuse to deliver. Devs porting hacks for camera, UMS and more. But also people contributing in any other way that they can, like providing mirrors for the ROM's, spending time flashing unstable products to provide helpful bug reporting and a lot more. To put it simple, any type of contribution. Without this type of community, custom ROM's would not be worth the time it takes to download. No single person can do all of this by them self.

Nice guy! This one-flash ROM is far better and really save us a lot!
Awesome, nice work mate. I just updated the 1.0.4cm7rc2 ROM but i will try this one when i get home from work.
No CDMA love?
Sent from my TWRP'd CM7 Unlocked Electrify.
He's repacked an existing ROM, not made a new ROM. No one has made a CDMA ROM (maybe there was one guy in the early alpha stages, but he didn't get very far), so there is no base to repack from...
why did not you put the latest version UsbMassStorageToggle ?

At some point he will change the app to start in the background on boot. But right now it pops up in the front and in the notification bar on every single boot. I don't like that and I packed/changed this ROM to my own liking. The 1.1.1 version works just as good as it is the same hack used in all. Only the behavior of the actual app has changed. And it is not all that difficult to open the app manually when you need UMS activated.

Not sure that it does not work. I'm not sure about the differences of the Bravo and BravoC, but properly just the kernel. Try flashing the ROM and then find a Gingerbread CDMA kernel and see what happens. You could go to oxygens forum and find the Thalamus kernel. Used that in the first couple of alpha version of this ROM with great success.

Install
After flashing, run /system/bin/busybox_install before reboot.
Otherwise run /system/bin/busybox_install.sh after boot and then reboot
If not, the shell will not work proper (inc init.d script like mounts2sd). It should run itself on first boot, but it doesn't for some reason. Will take a look at it after I get some sleep, but for now a manual execution of one of the scripts will work.

The best is to run /system/bin/busybox_install from adb before rebooting after flashing. If you reboot then you can /system/bin/busybox_install.sh from adb or terminal editor. The difference between them is which sh binary they use. the *.sh will not work until the ROM is booted.
I will have this working automatically some time to day I hope.

Does not matter. I have fixed the issue and are uploading a new zip right now. Just wait a couple minutes and you will have one that handles this on its own.
EDIT:
Update has been uploaded
Ehr... Your link is down, DropBox has disabled it. Can you try uploading it to multiupload or something similar? Also, is it right this ROM is for stock HBOOT?

If you read the first post, you would have seen the bold text explaining that a multiupload link was on it's way do to dropbox disabling my public link. You would also see the part where it says that this ROM is trimmed to fit the Data++ hboot
Download link is running again.

Does camera work ? i don´t find the list of not working things
Hi, a quick question. I just flashed the repacked rom and Titanium backup can't get root privileges..although it says in SU that it has privileges. I'm not a dev so I have no idea if I did anything wrong. I was hoping somebody can help me out.
I removed Mount2sd as you discribed in the first post and flashed DT a2sd without rebooting first. Dalvik on sd-ext (volume problems). Rebooted couple of times...didn't help.
Thnx in advance!

PhilZ Touch 5 Quick Guide
It is based on Koush clockworkmod 6.x to which I added many features and a full reliable touch interface
Version 5 brings mainly a true touch and scroll interface with a much more optimized and portable touch source
How to select your .android_secure path
In Custom Backup and Restore operations, you can select the target/source for android.secure or disable it
In stock backup/restore operations, include those started with ROM Manager, you can also force a target/source for .android_secure
basically, recovery will check first external storage for a .android_secure folder. If it doesn't find it, it will look in internal storage
If you want for example .android_secure to be in internal sd, just delete .android_secure folder from external sd and ensure there is a .android_secure folder in internal sd
for external sd, just ensure there is a .android_secure folder in it. It will be chosen what ever is the internal sd state
Custom Backup and Restore menu
This is one of the most powerful features of this recovery.
It is made completely open source code, built from sratch. Just keep credits headers and give proper credit if you use them
You can select which partitions you want to backup or restore
You can choose your .android_secure source and target or even disable it
You can set it to reboot directly after job is done
backups will go under the folder clockworkmod/custom_backup
TWRP backups go under stock TWRP/BACKUPS/device_id folder and will be automatically recognized by TWRP
Custom Restore Menu allows you to restore from any of the stock clockworkmod/backup folder, the custom_backup or the TWRP backups
If your backup folder was moved to /sdcard/0/clockworkmod after installing Android 4.2, you can go through the Custom Restore process. When it prompts you to browse sdcards, it should show an additional menu to offer you to browse Android 4.2 folder (/sdcard/0). The additional menu is shown only if recovery detects a /sdcard/0/clockworkmod folder on /data/media devices
efs is backed up under clockworkmod/custom_backup/.efs_backup
modem.bin files can be named any_thing.bin and must go under clockworkmod/custom_backup/.modem_bin
if you enable compression and disable md5, your backups will no more be recognized by stock cwm builds. Otherwise, all stock and custom backups are backward compatible with stock cwm (except special partitions like preload, recovery, modem and efs which stock cwm doesn't support)
Open Recovery Script Support (ORS): revised and adapted from original sk8erwitskil source
On start, recovery looks automatically for /cache/recovery/openrecoveryscript installed by goomanager or any tasker. If it finds it, it is run and phone will reboot
You can also add custom ors scripts you edit your self:
When pressing the ors menu, it will look at default locations for your custom scripts:
clockworkmod/ors first in external_sd, then in internal sd. Put your custom scripts there with file extension .ors
That way you can access your jobs (flash, wipe, backup, restore...) instantly
If no scripts are found in default folder, you get option to browse both sdcards for a custom location
To learn how to write ors scripts to automate your backup/restore/wipe/flash tasks, read here, it is very easy: http://wiki.rootzwiki.com/OpenRecoveryScript
Give Goomanager a try
All backup and restore options are supported except special partitions 1, 2 and 3 (could add modem, efs and preload linked to them later)
/preload will be included with /system if you enabled the /preload option in Misc Nandroid Settings
you have an extra here: you can set the target volume for ors backups under Misc Nandroid Settings menu
Aroma File Manager Support *Adapted from amarullz and sk8erwitskil
You get here the possibility to browse your phone with root access in a friendly GUI file browser, while being in recovery
You even now get a terminal emulator to run in recovery
Download Aroma File Manager from its Home Page
Get the 1.80 version and name the file aromafm.zip
Put the aromafm.zip in clockworkmod/.aromafm/aromafm.zip in external or internal sdcards
In recovery, tap the Aroma File Manager menu or double tap any part of the screen outside menus
It will launch the file manager automatically
Double tap gesture linked to Aroma File Manager can be altered in the GUI Settings menu
Touch GUI Preferences:
This is another unique feature of this recovery and is built from scratch
You can toggle through 4 touch modes:
Full Touch: menus are validated by touching them. I added extra checks to make it robust to validation by error while scrolling. After scrolling, your first touch will only highlight touched menu instead of validate it. If a delay of 1 sec passed, it will validate immeadiately on touch
Double Tap: menus are highlighted on first touch. To validate action, you need to double tap the same menu
Semi Touch: the classic semi-touch interface I enhanced. Menus are selected/highlighted on first touch. You can scroll by swiping up/down, but no validation on touch.
Disable Touch: touch code completely disabled. You have all gui options left, but only hardware keys
When Full Touch mode is selected, it will automatically set recommended menu height, touch accuracy and scroll sensitivity. You can alter them later if you want
Scroll sensitivity controls scrolling on swipe up/down. Lower values are the most sensitive. Adjust this based on selected menu height
Touch accuracy: increase it if your touch gestures are not well accounted for
Config files are saved in /data/philz-touch/philz-touch_5.ini file.
You can do a backup of your settings file, it will go under /sdcard/clockworkmod/philz-touch.ini.bak
You can choose to be prompted to restore your settings whenever they are wiped while you have a backup. You can also set recovery to auto-restore them when needed. This check is done when you reboot to main system from within recovery
There are many gesture actions that you can setup at your wish (some default actions are setup by default)
Long press/move is the bad equivalent to a long press gesture action: just that after one sec of touch, slightly move your finger or change the pressure surface without actually lifting it
Your screen should auto-dim automatically after one minute and turn off after 3 mn. You can change those time settings. Just touch the screen to reset brightness and turn it on
All GUI parts can be customized: menu hight, text colors, menu colors, selection colors, background color and icon, menu seprators, battery and clock, header text...
To setup a custom background image: put a png image with your device resolution in a folder clockworkmod/custom_res
You can take screen shots from recovery display by the slide left gesture (change it at your wish). Pics captures will go under clockworkmod/screen_shots folder. External storage will be always used first. If no external storage is found, internal storage is used. You can take up to 999 pics before it resets to 1
Setup Free Browse Mode and Multi-zip Installer:
Free Browse Mode:
You can setup a default folder from where the Install Zip menu will start
From within your set default folder, you can now browse backward up to the root file system to install a zip file
Multi-zip Installer menu:
Lets you select multiple zip files to flash at the same time
The zip files must go into a subfolder under: "clockworkmod/multi_flash"
At least one subfolder with your zip files must be created. You can create as many subfolders as you want
exp: clockworkmod/multi_flash/NEAT_ROM_files
Easy Log View and Pause on Logs:
In Easy Log View mode, your logs will have a smaller size to better fit the screen. This will be completely revised in upcoming v5 though
Pause on Logs: when enabled, after flashing a zip file or doing a nandroid job, you will be prompted for a key to return to menu display. That way, logs are kept in full screen. Obviously, no pause will be performed on boot scripts and multi-zip operations
Flash Procedure

awesome work bro thanks for keeping beni alive!!
GUI preferences doesnt work. When i press it, nothing happens. And when i press power menu, the screen turns off and nevers turns on. Have to press home n power button to enter recovery. Wiping is slow compared to CWM5. Didn't check backup and restore options though. Only concern is GUI preferences.
hey yajnab!
The GUI Preference option not working!
But Every things feels good :good:

UM thats weird. Why would he keep them closed source as its the best part of the recovery? Without them, its similar to CWM6 recovery
Is the aroma file manager working on fit ? I'm askin cause its for processors with NEON.
And is it integrated in the recovery itself ?

I present you Droid PC Suite (DPCS for short), as the name suggests it is a kind of toolbox application written in java for cross platform support. This project as been inspired from Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro. Now the question arises that why reinvent the wheel? Since Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro is designed for Microsoft® Windows, So what about those users who run Linux/ macOS? So, keeping this in mind Droid PC Suite has been developed. Btw, it also works on Microsoft® Windows. Initially started as my college project and now I've released it. And did I mention that it is free? Yeah free as in free speech, not as in free beer! This project is licensed under GNU General Public License, version 2.
Caution! This program is not foolproof! Do not try to outsmart it by playing tricks, because you may result with an expensive brick in the worst case! If you don't understand a feature you probably don't need it, just lookup about it on google before trying something out.

Hi! Is it possible to create a flashable zip and how? I used to use Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro to create flashable zips for my apps to make them system apps, including placing their system libs in the right system path (for example system/lib, system/lib64, etc). Is this tool able to do that and how? Thank you so much for the tool anyway

First of all thanks for trying out the toolbox!
Droid PC Suite project is aimed towards beginners so I decided not to add it because flashable zip is a feature which is meant for advanced users or developers, creating them by yourself and flashing them on your device can cause bootloop. Beginners might brick their devices easily so, I recommend you to use an app from Play Store for this purpose like ZIPme.

I already know that software, but it doesn't allow to add libs or create anything flashable besides apks, the only software that could was Android Ultimate Toolbox Pro, who is not working anymore. I found other tools to create flashable zips but they all don't comprehend creating anything flashable besides apks or custom other things. I just needed a tool who could create flashable zips for any file and any path, which doesn't seem to exist as of yet. I know there's the manual mode but it takes too damn time, as i need to add about 60 system apps and other stuff!!

Will this program successfully root a Mediatek 6580 phone running Android 6.0? I've got a BLU Studio Selfie 2 that I've tried quite literally every method I can find on XDA and the web, and I cannot get it to root. Even though I select the "allow unlocking bootloader" option in Developer Options, when I power on into the boot menu it won't let me use Volume Up to select bootloader mode ... so I can't flash a custom ROM, and I can't backup the stock ROM. I also read on the web that Android 6.0 has more strict methods for preventing root access, so maybe I should downgrade to an earlier Android version first?
Regardless, there is very little I've found through weeks of searching that applies directly to this model phone, and nothing has been successful [yet] in rooting it.

Okay, I kind of jumped ahead on my question. I'm trying to root my BLU Studio Selfie 2, and I can't unlock the bootloader. When I get to that menu, it says to press Volume Up to select, but the phone won't let me do that.

So... will this program unlock the bootloader on my phone?

If your device is mediatek and you see very few or no custom roms, I'm 90% sure that you won't be able to unlock bootloader of this device ever. This tool unlocks bootloader of devices like nexus, pixel and android one.
Did you tried towelroot and framaroot to root your device?

Samsung GT-S5830 step-by-step please?
Hi,
I just happily made the Suite see my GT S5830 and I am about to try my first stock firmware flash. Of course I am rather afraid of bricking the box, so perhaps there is some tutorial available how to make it with the Suite? Please?

Nice
If you like the app give us a like
And if you have Suggestions don't hesitate
I wanted to give the app a try, but after extracting the archive file, it complains about missing a file manager.
On my LOS17.1, there *is* a builtin file manager as well as total commander. Will there be a fix for that?

Excellent.
Can I expect to be able to restore selected apps from the backup?
I tried this, and it says a file I chose got extracted. I go and view the results, zero. Tried other files, all zero
My TWRP Backups are all compressed, is that the reason why ?

I doubt this, since otherwise you would have not been able to browse the content.
Current TWRP backups are simply gzip-compressed tar archives. Restoring apps is a bit more complicated, though. The ownership attributes of the restored files need to be modified according to the current installation.

I agree about ownership attributes. Well, there are no contents "extracted" by this app, on all my phones. What I see on this app are what I can already see using a File Explorer. At least I can open up the file in a file explorer, although it shows machine-language info.
On the old Nandroid Manager app (still working I think), I can extract apps, although the TWRP backup has to be uncompressed (i.e. compress option not selected in TWRP settings when doing TWRP backup). Uncompressed not an option for me, as I have automatic TWRP backups run every other day, always keeping 3 backups at a time.
So was just curious to see what this app can do.

It could also that the backup is compressed and it will not be extracted cause it is a gzip compressed i think
I will try to fix it in the next version

Yeah, there is an uncompress feature in version 2.4.1, but at least in my case, it did not work.
Maybe due to the fact that now sha2 is used instead of md5?
Anyway, I am looking forward to try this app.
for restoring apps from backup i thinks it maybe diffucult
because when TWRP create Backups it make a lot of parts so the apps will be random in the parts
let me check what i can do with that
I was excited when I came across this thread and app, but it can't find my backups. It shows the TWRP backup folder and all the subfolders, but the backup files themselves don't appear in the app. Sad face.

That weird
Go to your file manager and to backup folder and see what is the backup extension (.ext4.md5) if it is that it has to work
