[Q] Telcel OTA Update version mismatch - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I want to update from ICS to JB with the recently released OTA, but if I use the Update checker from "Configuration" menu the only message I get is "Your phone is up to date...". I've downloaded and tried to apply the update from the zip uploaded by an user in another thread but it fails while checking the value of ro.build.fingerprint in build.prop expecting to find the version 7.7.1Q-144-VQL_S3-58 (and the phone is 7.7.1Q-144-VQL_S3-56)
The thing is: If I flash that version from my carrier (found in the Firmware superthread) would I incur in some troubles with the ota and/or the configuration itself?

[Q] Unroot for update?

I just received my OTA update this morning as a download.
Problem is, my G2x is rooted and in superuser mode with busybox installed.
I did not run NVFlasher or install a custom ROM.
If I allow this update (was able to delay for 4hrs) to run do I need to unroot or will the update just break root and everything will be ok?
I updated my phone with the kdz flasher while rooted, I doubt it would matter for you either. After the update you will be unrooted, of course.
I unrooted, went back to stock recovery and everything, got an OTA update this morning and did it, but it was validating software package and somehow I had gotten bad service and it said invalid software package, and now it keeps telling me "connection failed" or "current version is the latest" WTF?

[Q] New Software update Available

Hi
I installed v10d via cmw, My phone recently checked for updates OTA & informed me that there was a new update available. The file size is 5.04mb, When i try to install it says invalid software?
Has anyone else noticed this?

Maybe the v10D you installed with CWM has a different region code or something making the updater think there's a newer version available. I'm pretty sure the juli update is the latest one.
Be glad your phone refused to install the update as updating OTA with CWM installed is a pretty sure way to brick your phone at the moment.

Once you have CWM on the device you cannot install any official updates anymore.
I have rooted the O3D and checked for updates and had the same file of 5.04mb
I was on stock v10b and the update just brings you to v10d nothing special .

Please Help! I Think Sprint's Recent Evo4G Update 5.07.651.1 Messed Up My Phone!

To make a really long story short, after Sprint's recent ota 5.07.651.1 (the update that came with the Sprint connections optimizer) was installed on my phone, I could no longer download or update ANY apps on the android/google play market while connected to 4G. Went to the Sprint store to get it fixed, they tried and failed, got a new replacement handset with ota 5.07.651.1 already installed, same exact issue. Reached the conclusion that the update screwed things up. Downloaded and tried to use this RUU file to revert back to the old build right before this one (4.67.651.1):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1484240
This was unsuccesful as the error message it gave me said:
ERROR [140]: BOOTLOADER VERSION ERROR
The ROM Update Utility cannot update your Android phone.
Please get the correct ROM Update Utility and try again.
My hboot is 2.18.0001, is there a version of the above RUU file that is compatible with my bootloader version?

[Q][XOOM 2] Unlocked device, how to get ICS update

I got my Xoom 2 unlocked from an electronics store rather than a carrier, so I'm not sure where I need to get the ICS update from. Whenever I check for system updates it just says "checking for available updates, please wait" indefinitely. It doesn't say there isn't an update but won't find one either.
System version
0.268.4.MZ616.Telstra.en.AU
Firmware
GAS_ASIA_TABLET1PASTUAUTEL_P021
The bootloader is still locked but I did root it, would that be the problem?

[SOLVED] Samsung S10+ not scanning for OTA updates despite having relocked bootloader using download mode and flashed stock ROM using Odin.

[Repost from Samsung Galaxy S10+ forum]
I rooted my phone last October 2020 and installed a custom ROM. Enjoyed it for a while but today I decided I want to revert to stock.
- Flashed stock ROM from Frija (wasn't able to backup data and settings when I first rooted my phone) (the stock firmware is the May 2021 security firmware update, it's the only one available from both SamFirm and Frija based on the region and carrier where my phone came from) using the HOME CSC file instead of the CSC (not sure if it's important to point that out but i'm just gonna bring it up just in case)
- Re-locked bootloader using download mode. Verified by searching for Netflix on the Play Store and thankfully, it showed up.
However, I tried making the phone search for an OTA update by going to Settings > Software updates > Download and install, but after checking for updates, it says my software is "up to date". I'm not entirely what the latest software version in my region is but I really want to get OTA updates back. I don't care about tripping Knox or what not, I just need the OTA updates.
