I have gone through the method outlined in other various threads to get a dump of the AT&T stock firmware from Samsung Kies.
I do not know whether this can be flashed to our phones via ODIN. Others seem to think so [here] but I have not tried it, nor will I.
I do not know whether this can be used to do anything to a bricked phone. Perhaps someone with a brick can try using it.
I am posting this here for reference. Perhaps a developer can use it.

EDIT: I was able to successfully flash this via ODIN!
Looks like it is also getting uploaded on samfirmware. I'll leave this link up as well.

Ok got a question ive read the form on how to unroot the nexus s 4g. I know i gots to download the images file but do i need the ota one to and do i put the image file on the sd card or what. I ve asked in the thread but no one will respond. could someone please help
What ota? It hasn't been released yet. If you're on 2.3.4 then all is good. Just flash the img files via fastboot and you're golden. Btw I also used buglesspetes method as well.

Ohh nvm I didn't fully read your post lol, how did you root your phone? Do you have the android sdk installed?

You could always just wait for somebody to release a deoxed version of the 2.3.5 OTA when it is available. It shouldn't be too long. Or just wait until someone links the 2.3.5 OTA and you can flash it like that. The only thing the OTA does is give you a dialog box directing you to the link. But if the link is provided, you could get yourself to 2.3.5 OTA like that as well.
Yes I have adb set up but I rooted it with the one click method using pda. I've tried all these methods even the one with odin
I just got the Galasxy S II and I want to sell the sidekick stock but I have Glorious Overdose installed. Would someone please be able to post a download link to the newest stock ODIN (I think KG2?) so anyone who needs to ODIN can do it. The download links on this thread: "http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1186954" are now dead thanks to the megaupload take down
Use the heimdalll method its the same thing

awesome, hadn't even heard of that thanks!
I have the US note 10.1 n8013. I screwed something up and would like to restore to factory default firmware but I am confused as to what I need to download. I have searched for the fw but I honestly don't know which one to download. Can someone please be kind and send me in the proper direction. Thanks.
As far as I know, there are no unrooted (or rooted) US stock roms available. I could be wrong though.
You could try using the EMERGENCY FIRMWARE RECOVERY in Kies. If you want to factory reset, you can do that on the tablet or in recovery.
How badly did you screw it up? What exacly is wrong? Are you rooted? Cwm recovery?or completely stock?
I also have the US wifi model. I want to root it, but i havent yet

Ultimately what I am trying to accomplish is to install SlimBean ICS on my friends Froyo Galaxy. (I am a Motorola Guy)
From my understanding you need to go to Ginger first. Easy enough, use Kies.
Next I need to install CM, this is where I am getting lost. Do I need to install 7 (GB) before I can install 9 (ICS)?
How do I install CM on this device? Totally lost because there are so many extra steps.
Lastly there is install SlimBean once CM is installed which is easy enough via CWM.
First question is, are you using a Galaxy or Galaxy S 4G? They're different.
Second, skip KIES, use a one-click. Flash once, reboot, Linda, Flash with bootloaders.
Then you can move on to the fun of ICS.
Please remove the battery from the phone and verify that the model for the phone is either
SGH-T959V
or
SGH-T959W
Those are the only phones the files on this forum are meant for! Reply with the model here so we can direct you to the right forum if your friend's phone is different than the Galaxy S 4G

This should get you on GB and rooted with a custom recovery. I believe at this point you can just flash slim bean ICS.
Always make sure you have another ROM you can flash to if the one you want doesn't work. Also make sure you have a backup

That's the one I was using but it didn't explain going beyond gb custom

After using the One Click Heimdall just get to recovery. If you have cwm 5 then you're good to go, just flash the ROM. Search our wiki on how to get to recovery.

Thanks everyone for all the help and clarification. His phone is making me really appreciate how easy flashing a ROM on my phone is even with a locked bootloader.

I know there are answers to how to fix this, but my question is about using ODIN to go back to ICS. What steps do I need to follow to to go from unrooted stock 4.1.2 back to ICS? is it as easy as just loading it up in ODIN? Are the partitions different?
Yes it's pretty much as simple as finding the ics image and flashing it in odin. Not real sure what you are concerned about as far as partitions go.

I think in the Dev section you can find the all the Odin files. I usually go back to vrblk3 and go from there. Or try googleing it,just be extra careful that the files are good (make sure there are for our phones and from xda).
I never had a good experience with 4.2.2 Roms. Guess they just don't like my phone for some reason.

I have ODIN'd back to vrblk3 and it is still stuck roaming. The solution is supposed to be ODIN back to ICS and reprovision the phone. Hope it works.
