Have you read and tried this http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...irmware-tf700-tf300-tf101-possibly-tf201.html

Thank you for the post.... yeah I tried that. The first method never does anything even the cold boot. The second method starts to load or so it seems then the Android falls over and lays there with an x over his belly ...is kind of funny. and then it reboots normal... So I am kind of at a loss

Thanks!

Not sure. But don't know why you would want to. Can break root and block all root and boot loader unlock exploits.

We wait for the devs to check the updates for safety and then flash them. Have never taken an OTA in years. I like root and unlock. Don't want to be stuck stock.

I'm pretty sure you will lose root, so is that worth it to you? Or would you rather wait till all the devs are using the g7 base? Some are already on the G7 base right now.

Is that all that will happen? Or is there a possibility of bricking?
It could brick your phone if you've unlocked your bootloader. Otherwise you will lose root.
If you want to read all the discussion on the ota update do a search for it. There was umpteen threads about the same topic.

How do I know if I've unlocked my bootloader?
Last one, you have to use the search if you got more questions. Or wait for someone else to answer.

Read link in my signature about learning to update properly. Why do you want OTA? Because you don't know better?
If you're rooted then you don't need to wait in line for an OTA.

The reason of asking this is, i had bad experience about rooting and UBL.i had xsp and after uBL i lost BE2 and also no official update.so my actual goal is to know any precaution about rooting or UBL

First take the WXZ, and YGT it. You *should* at that point have 1FG. Assuming that you do, GHR the 1FG and make sure you are HTF. If you do it right, you should OTA no prob. If not, then WYA and you'll be good to go. Make sense?

ahh, yea, i can't take the OTA because of root and all that jazz, will anyone make this into a zip?
Can anyone answer this dumb question. I unrooted via SU app with the intention of trying to take the update, then just root again via recovery. I rebooted after the unroot script and was stuck in bootloop until i rerooted.... way?

Pretty simple actually.....
This is what I did.
1. Flash newest update via Odin, reboot
2. Re-root... That's pretty much it.

Update to 5.1?

Hi everyone,
I know I am going to sound very annoying but I have googled various threads for hours and I still have not come close to an answer, so please be easy on me. I am a total noob!
So basically, Long story short, I bought this Moto G 2015 (4th Gen - Xt1072 the 5inch screen one) earlier this year, and it has been very slow ever since! So now, I am getting notifications that I cant update to 5.1!
The issue is, my phone is rooted, and I would like it to remain rooted! So, I am assuming i will not be able to install the update file.
The real question I have is, how do I go about this? How do i update to 5.1 (22.46.12.en.GB) without losing my root? I am happy with backing it all up on Titanium, and then updating but I don't know how to do it. Do I have to download the new android on my laptop and then re-install it or something? All this technical talk is literally racking my brain!
I know the solution is probably simple so I would really appreciate if someone can give me a simple answer!
Thanks so much

U can flash cm12.1 or can update your device then just root it back.
I doubt its a fourth gen, when the latest is 3rd.
Why can't you unroot, update, then reroot?

You can follow this link for a tool to restore back to stock firmware. This will wipe your phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...dows-tool-moto-g-2015-xt1072-restore-t3124915
Then update after that and root again.
I don't know much about removing root, I would look up how you did it then search for removing it. What did you use? Supersu?

Yes, it will reflash your phone to how it was when out the factory. Then update, then install supersu same as you did before.
Cm12.1 is pre rooted rom and stock rom i think u know what it is.

S7 Snapdragon Battery Blues

Hey guys,
So I'm running a stock S7 (AT&T) and have read tons of threads about how to fix battery drain, etc etc. And I'm not finding any great result.
I've tried different debloats and dumbing down lots of system settings, but haven't found that sweet spot yet. I know disabling some things can end up causing further drain, so maybe I'm doing it wrong.
Has there been any definitive solution to fixing the Android System drain? Mine is constantly 30% or more drain at the end of the day.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

API2 has an updated bootloader. You can't downgrade to any other version of the AT&T firmware unless it's Bootloader 4... This is what I meant when I said "You can't go back."

I also have a 930A , just dont update the bootloader , that is BL in odin . Rest you can install the latest using odin . People have been paying 15$ and buying AT&T updates from the persian site . Check S7 At&t forums

You are on May update
to update download from link posted before
then use this http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...-to-notes-root-install-xposed-unroot-t3411039 to go back to stock
Do exactly as its in this but change AP , CP and CSC as per new downloaded file .
You will be then on unrooted API2 but it has Android system battery drain

Ah, alright. Thanks a lot, man. I'll do this when I get home. I keep getting pesky update requests!
I read everything over and i see what you're talking about. Download and flash all updates besides the BL which is the bootloader... But I'm trying to get away from the battery drain. Should I flash a previous firmware instead of the current for better battery life?
Also, what's the big benefit of having an older bootloader? So you can upgrade and downgrade at will?
