Spice mi-435 root and CWM
dear friends after lot of searching and testing, i have found a working CWM for mi-435
MI 435 rooting using Root_with_Restore_by_Bin4ry
- Make sure that USB debugging is on your device. To enable go to Settings - Development - USB debugging
- Extract the Rooting Kit on your PC and connect your phone. Don't turn on USB Storage
- In the Rooting kit folder you have extracted Click the Runme.bat file
- A command prompt will start now.
- Now you will just have to follow onscreen instructions.
- after that Your device will reboot.
- then you will be able to se supersu or superuser on your app drawer of phone.
Spice mi 435 CWM intructions
- first of all download the cwm435.img from below and put it in the root of your sdcard(i.e at /sdcard/)
- then install terminator emulator from here - terminal emulator
- after that using any root explorer app from here - Root explorer
- go to /system and find the file recovery-from.boot.p
- rename it to recovery-from.boot.p.bak
- after completing above step start terminal emulator type su hit enter.
- write the following code.
dd if=/sdcard/cwm435.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p16

- switch off your phone press the powerkey[on right] and volume down key together.
when you hear a vibration leave the power key and press only volume down key.
or
-you can use Quick boot from market for geeting in to recovery - Quick boot
that's it you can know see the CWM v.6 recovery.

In case you dont like cwm you can use this file to switch back. use the same dd method above in quote instead of cwm435.img use recovery.img

battery backup is not good and on 3g it drains faster..

After full charge how much time it runs.....my phone runs for complete 24 hours and after that turns off.:banghead:

bro battery backup of this phone is some what decent for normal use but for heavy users it sucks afterall it only has 1500mah battery..
you can create backup using CWM and does not have direct sim video call...

Issues with TeamBURST mark 3 rom
Hi,
I installed the Mark 3 version of the ROM and have a problem that the upper half of the screen has the y-axis co-ordinates flipped.
That makes using the phone almost useless. I am trying to replace boot.img with original boot.img that was posted on the forums (do not have any backup of my phone's original stuff) lets see.
I do see they say Mark 4 supports 435 but the link to mark 4 was nowhere to be found
I found this link: d-h.stSLASHpFf but the file seems corrupted as Zipe utilities can't unzip it, I also tried to use their latest build but when I choose that .zip in recovery it fails. Only Mark 3 worked (and that too with the horrible screen issue).
Let me know if anyone has any inputs. Thanks for the post. (My 1st day of XDA today...)

Well that was a really important step which the Dev forums I guess assume for noobs to know.
Anyways, have to be grateful for everyone for these posts. Phone working like a charm.
And thanks max_nair for your post on TeamBURST with the boot.img file. Without that I would have been gone for all money (although small because the 435 is so cheap and now awesome)

Sirajmktplm bro sorry for late reply but why dont you try teamburst rom its stable than our official stock rom... and they have also added support for our phone.. i'm currently using TB mk 5.. its super ausome...

I am not able to flash both the files you givdn as my phone is having stock recovery only. And my phone is soft bricked also.
So help me to flash any Cwm recovery or to flash the stock rom

1. Install CWM.
2. Wipe Data and Cache.
3. Flash the zip file from Internal or External SD Card.
4. Reboot.

Note: It's not the official CWM recovery but it's of Prestigio PAP 4040.(Karbonn A11 is the clone of it)
You can flash it via Flash Tool or using Mobileuncle Tools.
Download Mobileuncle Tools from the Attached Files.

Steps:
1. Your phone must be rooted or it won't work.
2. Put the recovery.img in Phone storage or SD card.
3. Now open Mobileuncle Tools and click Recovery Update and chose the recovery.img.

Glad that someone stepped up to help! Thanks Vishal There's some problem with Dropbox and BSNL thats why I'm not able to upload.. I just got ur Dump ROM link via ur posts but the Dropbox is giving Error 509. Dropbox sucks Upload it on Mediafire if u can..I hope we can help other A11 users! I've found some Custom ROMS on Chinese and Russian sites, I'll update them soon with the links. Thanks again

i tried to install font from rom toolbox and now i am stuck at the booting screen. i have also tried to do a reset but didnt work:crying:. i found out that doing a hard reset and installing the official rom helped the other people so i need it to flash my 'HALF DEAD' phone

u sud do a hard reset.. switch off ur mobile first then press power, menu(three lines), and volume down simultaneously hope this helps you.

i did all but power+menu+volume down takes to factory mod(power+volume down):silly:
there are 7 options:1-PCBA Test, 2-Full Test, 3-KB Test, 4-Item Test, 5-Device Calibration, 6-Test Report and 7-Reboot
now i m trying to install fonts through adb but giving error: failed to copy: permission denied or the device rejected or even device not detected even when attached to computer

i pulled the fonts folder then examined and removed the corrupted ones
but now i cant push the Roboto-Regular.ttf and its giving the error {sh: cannot create /system/fonts/: Is a directory}
and roboto regular is the main font. i tried to copy it but it says there is no Roboto-Regular.ttf to replace with
if anyone knows how to write a file then tell me

i used adb shell's mv option and renamed the hebrew font to roboto and it started:victory::laugh:. it also started when i removed the other installed fonts but made the mistake of deleting the original too:crying:.
now its started but theres still a problem.........it restarts when screen is locked an hangs at startup again until i do a factory reset again.
i think it needs the other fonts i deleted.
if possible help me:good:

DDLJ1 OR DDALJ1? it means should we flash DDALJ1 to our device or we can use any baserom? i have try it to my DDALJ1 sir, but every time i installed it, i got my device restart itself. whats wrong to mine?

Don't wipe data from cwm!
Wipe factory reset by stock recovery, and report me...

A great one
It's a great rom i think. i just flash it aand no need odin anymore. and one more news i have no problem with bin count. because it's not replace the custom recvery. But it can't combine with ashutosh rom. if i'm not wrong, your rom has some tweaking? i red it in the build.prop. And i feel it in my device. now it can run 24 hours just for whatsapp and messaging.:good:

1. Does possible flashing this firmware via pc? from fastboot for example. I'ts will be verry nice for blind users wich can't to do recovery and flash via recovery with out speech.
2. Does possible enabling debuging usb mode, enable accesibility, and put all necesary files for that in update.zip? Thanks for all replies.

of course you can bro. just download root explorer, enter to system>usr>keylayout>bcm_keypad_v2.kl.
mount the system to r/w
and then look for key 442 chaton.
and then change it to key 442 cust1
save and exit.
reboot then. and voila the chaton button has ben customized key. just put your favorite app there.

Can you make a flashable zip for native in-call recording on stock dialer to be flashed & used in this ROM similar to the one available on GS3?

The hardware characters are mesed up . For example @/H is now on the letter N and normaly letter n has ' . Also the rest of the characters are messed up. I'm using English US on the hardware keyboard. I had them all right with the original 4.0.4 and with the official spanish 4.1.2 . With your rom they just shuffled .
It's not from your rom it's from the spanish 412. I'll reset to factory default to see if i can get back the normal characters ( i have now the reversed ? character from a spanish question ).
I reinstalled my original Cosmote Romania rom 404 . Everything is back to normal. Is this csc changing the hardware configuration of the keys ?

Can I change chatOn button without using this MAK-DROID?

Use SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1332.0.187 link in the op and download the stock rom,
while flashing just select the recovery.img in the MT6582M_Android_scatter_emmc and flash.
I am not sure if there is any CWM available for this model yet. You can try Team Win Recovery Project
Else an XDA member suhas.holla kinda made CWM RECOVERY for
MICROMAX A110, Check with him if he has any for this model.

great information, but with Recovery i meant CWM or TWRP will also do....but isn't there any Generic version which can be installed on any device or Does recovery need to be specific for given model.

Not all CWM and TWRP work with all devices, sometimes a cwm of a similar devices may support/work, Its worth trying different CWM/TWRP if you have a stock rom back up with you.. But It is safe to use one which is for the same model.

thanx for quick reply guys......BUT Finally everything is working as smooth as butter.....got my device into bootloop without recovery and backup so had to flash rom from beginning, and after few hit an trial i finally can say that i have fully rooted and recovery installed...just did a nandroid backup of my A114.
so for others having same phone please follow this procedure....
1> take a brand new phone and do first time setup .
2> install ADB drivers to win7 machine and install V Root (English ver is also available) on your pc.
3> connect your phone and let pc install all necessary drivers if some not found update manually....then open v root and follow instructions.
4> when finished phone will reboot and rooted. close v root.
5> download attached file and copy it to the desktop
6> run the exe file 6044.exe from same location. (avast antivirus may give some false positive disable it for a while) and let the program do its job.....IF everything goes fine U'll be rebooted into Carliv Touch Recovery ....and NOW u have fully rooted phone with recovery. Now do what u want to do with it ...Enjoy!!!

The link works. Its just a public file over-limit. All you need to do is wait and try again even if the adrive show the file over-limit there is a try again link in that over-limit page click it a couple of time or try again after 5-10 minutes you will be able to download.

Well thanks..but im really disappointed .i downloaded the file. And followed the tutorial that u linked . the tutorial said u need a scatter loading file.but sadly there is no scatter loading file in ur rar . u should have provided a noob friendly tutorial

The tutorial is by DR_MOOSAVI, another Xda member. And the scatter file is a .txt file. Like MT65xx_Android_scatter_emmc.txt, it will be in the X5016M_MMX_IND_R03_8Gb_band15.rar file extract the file and open the folder and you will find MT65xx_Android_scatter_emmc.txt file along with the other file like preloader and system.img
You also need sp tools with this SP_Flash_Tool_v3.1332.0.187 version to flash
You are not recommended to install other stock rom on any device the setting may be different even the size of the ram. Please revert back to the stock rom. U can use any MT6582M scatter file it mostly be of the same, but please search for the file in the stock ROM folder and you will find it.

Use the one which is attached.

So, me and my friend found a way to flash any custom ROM in Huawei G610-U20.
Requirements:
1-First thing do a backup of your NVRAM with the help of MTK Droid tool because you gonna need it.
2-Then install the Update.app file to your phone by local update on About>System updates. Just put DLOAD folder with UPDATE.APP in the ROOT of your SDCARD.

3- After update your phone will reboot, then delete the previous Dload folder.
4- Then download the stock recovery remover by same exact process you did in step 2.
download the stock recovery remover ( https://disk.yandex.com/public/?hash=HOIuITRRhu8BpVnpxv2DGvBCO+NxYh9su2mudSghoVw= )
Extract it and put in the root of your SDcard.
after the recovery remover, your phone will reboot when it will turn on root your phone first with SRS Root tool (Search it on Google)
5- Download the CWMR from here ( http://www.mediafire.com/download/ptsp31ti9kz8bqj/recovery.img ) ,then install MKTmobileUncle tool from playstore or download apk on phone, and then open the app and install recovery from mobileuncletool.
NOW YOU HAVE CWM RECOVERY ON YOUR PHONE
Now you can Flash Any ROM from here (http://www.needrom.com/phone-roms/huawei/serial-g/g610/)
Just download and install in CWM , well i know you all know how to flash a ROM i don't have you explain you.
And Last thing when you flash any ROM you'll get invalid IMEI , but don't panic because we have a solution.
Just attach your phone with your PC and turn USB debugging and install drivers (MT65xx Phone Drivers you can find it on internet, make sure your're using windows 7 because its drivers are incompatible with windows 8 and 8.1) and then Mkt Droid tool it will recognize your phone then press the ROOT button and then wait for a min then Press IMEI/NVRAM and then press restore and give the location of your previously backup of NVRAM it'll ask for two files after flashing just reboot and Enjoy

My phone was not rooted for using SRS Root Tool, though I have tried Kingo Root and it worked!
Take note that it's "MTK" not "MKT".
Anyway do you have a link for updated ROMs for Xperia C? Thanks for the tutorials!

not yet working completely though.. development doesn't seem to be active..maybe mt6582 will just become a footnote with MTK devices..

I can get it root it... It says success with frameroot, but nothing happens

Yes, all Mt86582 JB can root by Framaroot, sir

This is the 1st time I've used CTR and so far like it..one thing I've missed with TWRP was batch install, but it's not something you use that frequently though..
Also tried MIUI - still got issues with memory..ColorOS is actually good, but still testing it out and aside from known issues, everything seems to be stable..

I can get it work... It says phone rooted, but when I restart it afterwards, nothing at all... can someone write step by step procedure. I m on official rom 1.4
What is best rom available now? official is full of bugs and problems

I'm using ColorOS..great eyecandy..stable..no issues with Storage and google sync..only downsides: proximity and light and compass and gravity sensors don't work, front cam is bad, videos also bad..

I managed to root it with root genius... frameroot on offical 1.4 won t work for me. another thing is when I root it on 1.4 with root genius it gives ghost touches.
Color os is great but useless without those sensors, looking forward to new release.
I am leaving in area with low signal, is it possible ti improve it, with modem/baseband file? Or some other solution?

There isnt any update for our phone..official ones are buggy, custom ones are better, and looks like we are going to be stuck a little bit..
Camera isnt as good as it looks on paper, and a few reported problems with touch issues..personally i've issues with low speaker volumes with media and notifications/alerts..
Seems not a great phone IMO..

Any of you guys can confirm if the three little capacitive dots (back, home, menu) at the bottom of the phone have backlight? Mine doesn't seem to be lighted..

Thanks for confirming..mine didn't work and I was thinking it was because of ColorOS..
