So I've got a Sensation phone that won't start. Bootloader menu can't be accessed as well. When I plug it in, the orange LED lights up, stays on for about 3 seconds, then goes off for about a second and finally lights up again and stays on permanently. Tried with a different battery - no luck. When I connect it to the pc via micro usb cable, the computer recognizes the phone (installs drivers for htc sensation). And there's something more - when I connect the charger in a completely dark room, the display backlight becomes visible. The screen doesn't light up but it also doesn't remain completely dark. It's like the screen is on but completely black.
So what can I do? Thought that the power button might be defective, so I removed the black tape over the button and short circuited the two small pins on top of the button. It didn't work. I can't fire it up through abd, because usb debugging is off. So do I have any options beside selling it on ebay or giving to a service technician?

Thanks for the suggestion
I haven't tried this solution yet because the problem does't seem to be a QHSUSB_DLOAD issue.
Upon connection with pc it identifies with hardware id USB\VID_0BB4&PID_0FF9&REV_0228 as a mass storage device...
Every time i try to charge my phone with the battery it starts blinking red for a while before turning soild red.
tried pluging into pc phone will show the mertopcs logo for 3 seconds then screen goes black, tried holding volume up key to get into bootloader, merto logo comes up for half a second before screen goes black, did this guide androidforums.com/threads/htc-evo-4g-unbrick-guide-hard-brick-only-wont-turn-on-or-charge.456048 still wont work dose not seem the phone will even charge at this point just a black screen with solid red light help
Hello, my Y6 had discharged battery completly, it didnt want to charge but after few tests with chargers it does charge now (yellow diode).
But when i want to boot it up screen is always black without back light like its disconnected but it isnt. Phone vibrates and connects to PC succesfully even in recovery mode but i can't fix black screen issue screen is perfectly fine without scratch. Sometimes it plays boot music but no logo on screen.
After dropping my XZ on a table, it just went completly dead. The device switched off and wouldn't start again. So I tried to charge it, and hoped for the best, but when I connect it to a charger something strange occurs. The small red charging light comes on, and the black "SONY" text on a white background shows for a few seconds, then the device shuts off and the red light disappears. And from there on it just loops from black screen to red light -> sony logo -> black screen no red light -> red light -> sony logo -> black screen no red light and so on.
I've tried 2 different chargers (for several hours), tried starting it holding vol up and also starting it holding vol down. Tried connecting it to a computer with the xperia companion software, but it doesn't show any signs of connection. The SD card is removed.
I assume it has to be some kind of hardware issue (relating to the drop, yes i was drunk). But does anybody have experience from this problem and might advise what part is broken?
What you actually did with your mobile, step by step.
When I connect it to the charger it glows red green green and repeats for 2 times after. If I connect it to the PC and turn it on, the PC makes a connected device sound but still it doesn't turn on. Anyone here knows what it is? Is it bricked?
No clue and found little on a Google search.
If you can easily disconnect the battery, try that.
Better if you can command it to do a hard reboot.
A hard reboot can sometimes resolve issues.
May be a hardware failure.
