Not sure what I have done but can somebody please help..... I flashed the kernel and now it just sticks at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 screen. I can power it off and hold the volume button and go into Odin, I can see it from Odin on my Laptop OK but am now sure what to do next??
So, I power off, hold the volume button in and it pops up a screen warning about downloading custom roms, so I press the volume down button to continue, then it goes to DOWNLOADING Do Not Turn Off Target but whats the next step?
Reflash stock rom.

Could not find it on that page, found it here... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1704668 I assume this is the correct one for uK? It's downloading now but will take 40mins. I assume once I have it, I start up Odin, select the file from the PDA menu then click start.... Is that it?
Also, if this does not work, is there a way to remove all trace so I can return it for warranty repair?

It would've been helpful if you told what you model number is. I assume it is a P5113. It shouldn't matter what region you download as there is only one download anyways.

No it's a P5110 is that the wrong file I am downloading?

By the way, if it still does not boot past the samsung screen you have to wipe data/ factory reset.

Phew...... That's it back on stock android.
Now, I wonder what I did wrong? I now need to let it charge (as soon as it came up, it had a critical battery warning) and then start to flash to Cyanogenmod again.....

You don't do it within odin. You do it on the tab. Seperate from android. What Kernel did you try to flash?

long time lurker and now I've finally screwed up enough to where I need to ask some questions.
Had my tf700 for a few weeks. rooted while on ics. installed goomanager to make back up. installed rootkeeper. have not installed any roms. Tried several times to get into recovery mgr but kept getting the triangle. so, today, I upgraded to jb. checked rootkeep and everythng was good. everythng had been good until I just downloaded that worthless beats audio app. now I'm stuck with a circle going round and round and cant do anythng else. could really use some help with some steps to take to fix this thing. Thanks - Dave

Try to go back into recovery by hold down volume down and power button until you see while text on the screen then release both buttons, now press the volume down button until the "wipe data" is highlighted, now press the volume up button twice to execute factory reset. Once done see if you can boot back into the OS.

I would let it run for about 30min and reboot if it's not coming back. Is yours working?

Your bootloader/recovery image maybe corrupted. Next thing to do is to flash a full Asus firmware. This will wipe out your root.

Unzip the zip file downloaded from Asus site, the final file name should be "US_epad-user-10.4.4.16.zip", copy this file to the root of your micro sdcard. turn off your device, Insert the sdcard back into your device, boot into recovery, by default RCK should be highlighted, just hit the volume up button to execute the upgrade. If you have a red android, try to rename the file to "EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip" and try again. One thing that really bugged me is that wipe data (factory reset) did not work as normal, but ignore this for now.

You renamed it without the quotation right? like EP201_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP
Also make sure you don't have any other zip file(s) in the root of your sdcard.

I rooted and flashed a custom ROM to my tablet and after awhile, I decided I wanted to go back to complete stock. I have seen threads with the original stock kernel and recovery, but I sort of wanted a full, 1gig+ stock unrooted ROM offered by Samsung.. I have seen stock ROMs for other series of this tablet, but I have been unable to find any for the N8013. Any help would be great! Thanks!

Go to www.samfirmware.com and select the firmware tab. Once you enter your tab details, the available firmware is there to download.
Install with Odin and you'll have your stock tab back.
I did that recently having installed the UK JB firmware, but managed to get a binary count of 12 (increased by 2 per flash)
Now I am back to standard and waiting for the official OTA upgrade *yawn*

Unfortunately, SamFirmWare.com won't let me download the firmware. It asks me to log in, and I do. Then when I go to the Firmware page, it forgets who I am, and tells me to log in again. It doesn't forget anywhere else, JUST on the firmware page.
I tried setting up another account, but they want my credit card info for that now, and I ain't giving that out!
I know that this is the name of the file you are looking for. Do a search for it and this will get you back to a stock ROM.
I know because I had to use it once to recover a quasi-brick issue on my tablet.

When the page opens you will see a clock for wait time, click on "Regular" and then wait your 10 seconds, enter captcha code and download file.

Fresh tablet never been rooted. Is triangle away absolututely necessary? Do I uninstall triangle away later or is it needed from here on out.

As stated in post #14 above......
Install Triangle Away first then run the app to clear firmware counts.
Connect tablet to a PC via factory USB cable.
Boot tablet into Odin mode, start Odin app on PC and in PDA line direct the app to the N8013UEUCMI3_N8013XARCMI3_XAR.zip
file and press Start in Odin app.
After restart do a factory reset from tablet recover mode.

So, yesterday I decided to upgrade my Android version from ICS to JB. I forgot to do a factory reset first, and now I can barely use the tab. I'm guessing it's laggy and slow because it has only 200~mb of space only. Buuut, the huge problem is that I can't reboot. The button for the last comfirmation is dead. I click it, but nothing happens.
Anyone had a similar experience? The device is not rooted.

I second quazmed's info.. Something went wrong with the install.. I'm guessing you upgraded through Samsung kies? Or did you get a notification to upgrade? Either way its a messed up system and you should use Odin to reflash the firmware.
Tip. If you just hold the power button long enough, the device will reboot that's true on any Samsung device I believe..

After which, I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 hoping to get back to stock. But after following these directions, the phone boots to a Samsung custom (Unlocked) screen and then it goes to the galaxy s3 boot screen and remains there, if anybody could provide any assistance, that would be awesome. i was on vrbmf1 when i got it back but ive been trying to flash back to the stock to hopefully get out of the "unauthorized software" screen. when i tried to wipe system and data and then restart from the stock recovery menu, i got an error message saying that the directory /system didnt exist, yet ive tried flashing back to stock twice and both processes finished through odin

Are you 100% sure you was on MF1 and Verizon did not ship it to you with 4.3.
If you was on MF1 Odin should flash fine and resolve any issues. If you was on 4.3 than you have issues if you ran Odin

1000% sure that it was 4.1.2 and MF1 because it was trying to push an OTA update that i kept canceling. should i attempt reflashing through odin again? and if so could you link me to something specifically i should flash and possibly some instructions because ive been without a phone for 2 weeks and wouldnt like to wait til october for another one....

If it was fixed or replaced by Samsung they usually update to newest software before returning it. If it was on 4.3 and you tried to unlock it is now bricked beyond our ability to repair at this time.Can't unlock, flash custom recovery or downgrade to 4.1.2 or lower or it will brick. If was on 4.1.2 just need to Odin stock tar.If it hangs then a Factory reset in stock recovery will usually fix it. Need more info on what build you were actually on when started.

im completely sure it was NOT 4.3 though. it flashed fine when i ran this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2046439 i just forgot to flash the bootloader unlock through recovery so then i tried reflashing stock and now im here. and where could you point me in the direction of a stock tar and some instructions because ive been using the ones on the original thread i linked with no luck
Remove .tar from zip and flash in Odin. If was on MF! it should fix with no more than a factory reset in stock recovery. Then run Beans casual to reroot and unlock.

Leave everything in odin as is..dont check or uncheck anything
Make sure u put in PDA
Make sure you have a solid connection with cable .. that will cause issues too
Your in download mode right ? HA / just checking

After which, I followed this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1840030 hoping to get back to stock. But after following these directions, the phone boots to a Samsung custom (Unlocked) screen and then it goes to the galaxy s3 boot screen and remains there, if anybody could provide any assistance, that would be awesome. I'd just hate to get laughed at if i bring it into a verizon store. thanks and happy holidays.

Boot into download mode and on the screen where the option to continue or restart phone, choose to restart your phone. This worked for me just this morning, for some reason it bypasses the check.

im trying with the stock MF1 file now. left everything checked normally as it always is in odin lets see how this goes. would it be common for a boot to hang on the "Samsung Galaxy s3" screen coming off of odin?

Odin will reboot your phone.. are you getting Pass in Odin ??

Yes. It is common for it to reboot but bootloop. Pull battery and then boot into stock recovery and factory reset. Then it should boot.
Just updating thru Mobile Odin Pro, pressed the 'Flash' button, said yes to checking MD5, halfway thru that the screen went black and now wont turn on!
Has this happened to anyone else? Is this down to MOP or the phone?
Tried the charger, computer, nothing....
Anthing I can do with my multimeter to see if its getting power? I see some copper contacts under the back cover...

Assume you've pulled the battery? [EDIT] Checking the MD5 may have just crashed the phone out, similar to the way ODIN stutters when you load a file in[/EDIT] - if not try it and then try reach Download mode/Recovery.
For power, try a different usb cable.
Did you flash the wrong firmware? They is plenty version of Note 3.
oh boy, hope this isn't your only or main phone. Sucks to have this happen on holiday.

It didnt even get to flashing the firmware!
Damn, just thought. If it goes for repair, they will update bootloader to latest version.
If I get a replacement, its likely it will have new bootloader.

I dont think so. Maybe it was flashing and u didnt realize. The phone cannot dead just by checking MD5 sum.
BTW,
1- what was your original firmware (region, version...)?
2- what is the firmware u are going to flash? What is the filename?
3- what version of Mobile Odin Pro?
4- have u turned off reactivation lock?
5- have u selected any wipe option?
6- which button (in Mobile Odin Pro) u've used to select the firmware file?

1. MI6 I think. The very first one.
2. MK2 United Kingdom
3. 2.85 I think. The latest one.
4. Dont know.
5. Had wipe data and cache ticked in MOP
6. I loaded the md5 file then removed the kernel and recovery components.
That last bit, I dont understand what you're asking. My phone was about 75% thru checking MD5 and then it died.
Phone is booked in for repair. Just waiting for the envelope from Samsung to send it to them.
I had the same issue..I flashed very latest firmware it solved..mobile odin is very risky

So after testing a few different cables etc, no joy? It would appear then that one of two things may have happened. You got yourself a hard brick #badtimes Or a hardware failure.. which is possible. Warranty ?

I go direct to Samsung. They are very speedy! They just want proof of purchase that's it.

The phones been repaired and will be delivered today. I'll ring Samsung later and find out what they did.
