there's also a BIG lib from polaris so if you guys want a smaller sized ROM then target the unused libs. they take up more space than the apps.

Yes, I saw that big library file. Is there a way to determine other unused libraries? I mean how to check which one is to which app?

It would be good idea to describe some of deleted apps. Some names are obvious, but deleting other I have to trust you not knowing what I actually delete

You know, for example accuweather widget.apk is obvious, but for example what are responsible
DSMLawmo.apk or BCService.apk
for?
That's what I mean...

so, I have to separate between important and unimportant?

I'm not telling you what you have to do, just asking
Look how it's done in others phones section:
Apkname.apk - explanation what the application/file does.
Just a conception

agree, also "**Test.apk"- and "*sync*.apk"-files
maybe you should look at lists like these: List of stock apps that can be safely removed
i like your idea.

I always remove email.apk coz it is locked in memory I think...no matter how many times you kill it, it always shows in running processes, and I don't use it
for me bloatware is everything that doesn't break any functions if removed and everything which has nothing to do with the basic uses of a mobile phone such as calling and writing sms. all the internet stuff is secondary. otherwise you could argue that snsprovider is as important as email because all the communication is taking place on facebook nowadays.
so i think deleting email is ok
The list is base on what i remove from my devices...i use gmail instead of stock email app...
Snsprovider is for socialhub which is not needed for me...
U can always change the script for your own need...

so basically you say that about one billion people who are registred on facebook are 13 year olds?
ok not all communication.
i'm talking about different types of communication. you certainly wouldn't write to your boss on facebook but to your friends you would.
but enough, this is getting off topic...
Please dont argue here
SnsAccount.apk is for facebook contact sync, u can sync facebook picture to your buddy phone number thats all...as for me, i dont need it...

i dont think its possible using stock recovery..coz mounting is required..and stock recovery does not authorize that..
but you can try..if it fails..then you'll have to flash another recovery to make it work.

S4 System Apps Safe To Remove

Here is a list of Galaxy S4 i9505 system apps safe to remove:
Please use some caution when deleting apps, just because they are 'safe' to remove doesn't mean you won't need them.
For example: DO NOT delete GoogleContactsSycAdapter.apk if you need to sync your Google contacts.
I have deleted everything on this list from my system apps as they are things I don't use.
I actually NEVER REMOVE system apps completely. I MOVE them to a folder on my external SD. That way if I ever want anything back I can simply copy it back again. I would suggest you do the same.

If you want apps to stay deleted after reboot you must remove the PreloadInstaller.apk from system/apps
I will update this as I find more.
If people know of any apps not on this list let me know so I can add it to OP.
If you have removed apps and you need some back you will find stock system apps from XXUAMDE firmware here
http://db.tt/IknDNOVj
Thanks!
All these apps or i should say whichever i remove should be deleted directly from system/app as well as the preloadinstaller? Correct? Usually i just use titanium backup. Just wanna cover myself before i start doing stuff..Thnx for the list :good:
Yes that's correct
You must delete the preloadinstaller.Apk otherwise the apps you deleted are reinstalled on reboot.

Thanks for the list mate. Can you freeze these through Titanium, or will they pop up again because of the preloadinstaller?
Freezing in TB is different. If you freeze apps you don't need to worry about the preload installer, no harm in freezing this anyway though

Thanks for the list. I'm puzzled about com2usPoker and match3VS. Those are definetely games, but they are nowhere to be found, except for the preinstalled apps section. Why on earth would they put them there? Can't play them and can't delete them without root. My phone is unlocked and bought straight from Samsung, so that is not carrier bloatware. Seems to me like Samsung released a rushed-out firmware that contains junk as well.

thank you for the list, I appreciate it
after deleting the whole bloatware, the battery holds much longer :good:

lol, simply rename it and using root explorer push it to /system/app

[Guide] List removable apk (From JellyBean XXLSZ to last 4.1.2 Update)

For those who want a rom lighter fluid and particularly frugal battery that just removes everything that is not used because, to our knowledge, many of these applications are started when the device and end when we shut it down ... The one that the following is the result of long research I have used to understand the function of each application system and to identify the libraries associated with them.
WARNING: This is a list that I built gradually from JellyBean ROM xxlt9 then you can take a cue only if you are on XXLSZ or later!
Advice:
1-Operate from a PC
2-Operate directly on the ZIP file of the rom
3-Recommended clean install
List of removable elements (obviously built according to my needs):
data\app\
remove all
system\app\ o preload\symlink\system\app\ (depends on the rom)

I got many private messages to users who wanted to know how to get the results that I got on the beautiful SweetRom...this thread is the solution!

that would be very usefull...or maybe you can point something that might be useful. i once try it, everything working fine...but when i remove some more, only picasa sync left...no contact and calendar sync...
this two is in there: GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter.apk GoogleContactsSyncAdapter.apk

I removed all synchronizations because they require a lot of battery...so if you don't use them it's the best thing remove them
hmm... so how do you keep your contact/calendar backed-up?... i flash a lot, so having everything sync to google is nice, i only need to remember to backup my sms (which i miss sometimes). however, i like the setup that use less battery...
and...how do you organize the removal of the file, do you have script or something...

sir i just use this guide in sweet rom v10 but unfortunately it will reboot in CWM not in system
BTW, regarding files in system\lib\ do i need to delete all? except for those list? like what i did "delete them all except from the list also the folders i also delete".

the list that you see on the front page shows all the elements that you can delete. In the folder of the language you have to delete all the files leaving only those who have the format name of the language you are using (it is the same number of elements you see in the examples of the Italian language only instead of leaving those, you have to leave those of your language)

If you need the S Pen extra functions, then put this two files back:
FlashAnnotate.apk
FlashAnnotateSvc.apk
The list would be better, with a little description..
I'm mean what is what.
thanks tkari4...
yes, it would be better, but OP said he don't have time... i'm trying to see by comparing with the list from sgs2, but sgs2 does not have pen.
FlashAnnotate.apk and FlashAnnotateSvc.apk seems a little off from spen hahaha... i mean, we cannot simply guess by filename.
edit: how can we know what apk did what?.... like i want to delete MyFiles apps and replace with total commander.. i have totalcommander.apk, but don't know which file to delete for MyFiles.
edit2: i got it..its SecNoteMyFiles.apk (got this from titanium backup)... i thought it's regarding SNote...
While at it....
I don't know what's wrong, but when connected, the my computers doesn't show correctly phone and card... it shows /mnt/mmc/Downloaded Data instead of phone (like in attachment)
please help..

S Note:
If you removed only the files from the list. (OP)
then put back:
sCloudSyncSNote.apk (if you want to sync)
Snote_Q1_Provider.apk
Snote_Q1.apk
libsnote_Q1.so

This is awesome and thanks. These are tough to find anywhere else online.

Thank you very much. These would all be practically impossible to find in one place online nicely like this.
List apps are based on kitkat rom not on lollipop rom.

I believe you can just install the .apk's just as a normal app. Drag and drop to your SD card and clikc install via a file manager
Nothing is downloadable from that list, i need lg music but anything i press on that filehosting site comes up with a popup, please update this if possible
Wow, this is very very helpful thanks a lot.
I put a custom rom from the Cynaogen Mod 12 , which is a nightly version , and had lots of issues with Wifi, Mobile data and all that, hence shifted back to this system.
Thanks,
I need LGMusic.apk for LG G3s/Beat. Plz
Installation
How do I install this? It won't go through because it says I already have a package with the same signature.
I don't see the calendar app..can someone tell me which one is it.
Thx
What about lollipop apps? Could any extract them? I am looking for quick remote...
Thanks

how do i get the odex files for the lg remote
can open up apk it wont work need odex file please
Will the qremote app work if installed on my galaxy s6 edge, or are these apps LG specific?
I previously had the LG g3 and the qremote had, by far, the best functionality and interface of any ir remote app I have seen or used.
Mcafee
Thank you Dev Great work...
