All my calanders are out by an hour due to the UK time zone being incorrect in the Samsung settings (see screen grabs).
You would think picking the next best time zone "Azoras GMT +0.00" would solve the problem but that just pushes my time back an hour, needing a manuel setting to correct , a temp solution me thinks until the clocks change.
The strange thing is that as you can see from the Samsung "S Planner calander " app screenshot Samsung has a "(GMT+0.00) Etc/GMT" time zone option in that app settings so why not in the default "date & time" tablet settings?
I've searched Google but it seems I'm alone on this issue. Any thoughts appreciated & I hoping it not another app causing this?
Thanks

Hi optical10,
may be it's because of DST?
As you can see Amsterdam, Berlin have +2, where it should be GMT +1, but because of DST it's +2
Greetz,

I see, it changes throughout the year unlike my settings on my Windows mobile phone, That's what was confusing me.. Guess I'll stick to London and Dublin, Thanks
It's what is known as "British Summer Time" or BST. In the UK the clocks are moved forward one hour from GMT in the Spring and then revert back in the Autumn (Fall).

Hi!
I have htc touch pro (AT&T version) with the latest stock rom.
For months already I am having problems with my clock. Altho its set to +2 Sofia time, it keeps on changing either to +1 time zone either it keeps the time zone but it changes 1 hour ahead or back. Doesn't sound that horrible, i know, but it's practicly unusable as an alarm clock and when i had forgotten my wristwatch home, i never know if i can trust my phone
Please tell me any ideas u might have for this.
Thanks in advance
could it be a regional settings or daylight saving issue?
They are set correctly but it just changes time zones as it wants
Hey,this looks strange, but did you use Weather Master for TouchFlo? I had similar problem and I found a fix, that I have done manually with some kind of database editor(or what was it). The problem was, that in some manila file there was bad timezone hardwritten,so I just rewrited it to +1 in my case and after that it was correct.
no I haven't, and I didn't use manila either. It's weird, since i installed Throttle Lock looks like i don't have the problem anymore, at least for a week now. Just yesterday it was showing correct time but in throttle lock was showing one hour ahead. so i looked at the clock and it was actually time zone +1 (incorrect) but with time of +2, so it was showing correct on the today screen. i changed it to +2 with the time it should be and it was showing correct on the both screens. It's really weird.

i had this exact prob. i used advance config and disabled the daylight savings c**p. here in oz out dls was extended for an extra week...what a pain. just set it manually. i had the same prob with my original touch.
PiratePete
hmm that's a good idea, thanks, i haven't thought about it. but it's already set there. anyway, it's still working without probs for a week already so i am optimistic about it i really have some feeling the throttle lock fixed it somehow, it's weird but it looks so
Anyone else having trouble getting the date widget to update to the current day on time?
Right now, it is 05/10/2011 1am but the date widget is showing as 05/09/2011. Had the same problem yesterday and I know the date got updated after 9am.
Have you installed a task killer and forget to make sure the date related process is in the excluded list?
Yes mine does this too...

Same here, mine sometimes does it too. I removed the current one and replaced it on my home screen and worked fine then. Not using any task killers... widget needs some work, lol

Maybe you can try (enable) the following function.
setting -> date & time -> enable "automatic date & time"
I've always had the auto date and time enabled and my widget never updates on time either. I also blame this on the widget itself but don't have any evidence to support that. The myzine widget or whatever it is called is also useless. I've never been able to use it without it force closing on me.
I noticed my date widget having the same problem, so I removed it.
May be a # 1 contender for the dumbest question of all time, but I can't find how to set the date and time. All the options are grayout except for 24-hour format or select date format. The option to sync with the cdma network time and automatic time zone are pre-selected but the time zone is wrong. Any suggestion?
Thanks in advance

Seams like the question isn't that dumb after all. 116 views and no one reply, I just call sprint customer service and they can do anything either. They told me to bring the phone to the store.
The only way I can get those options to enable is being in airplane mode. Though, once you turn the radios back on they tick themselves and you're back to square one.

@KitsunePaws thanks, I don't know why the network sync isn't working but at least this was a help.
All of my all day calendar notifications go off hours after they are suppose to. I have tried using multiple different calendar apps (stock, google calendar, today calendar, etc). They all do the exact same thing. If an all day notification is suppose to go off at 9AM it will alert me at 6PM. Calendar events that are set for a certain time work fine. Anyone have a fix for this?

I have similar problem! I haven't found any fix. Seems like firmware bug.

You need to go in Advanced setting>Battery Manager>Protected Apps and turn protection on for the Application in question or it won't run i the back ground.
Backup, Hard reset, restore.
Try setting battery mode to performance to see if it still happens.
Protect app in phone manager, battery.

I don't think that it helps. Reminders of "usual" events works perfectly. Only reminders of All-day events are notified in wrong times. Of course, Google calendar is set as protected app..
You could try it to rule those causes out.

Yes, on all of my other devices they work correctly.
Pretty sure it's a bug with the software app, as mine is experiencing it as well. Hopefully can be fixed with a software update.

Today I did a factory reset to see if that would help my time delay problem. Unfortunately, it did not. However what I did notice is that when I set a calendar reminder to go off at 9AM on my phone it shows up as 12AM on my Google Calendar.

Is your phone's time zone the same as your Google calendar?
I don't experience such issue on my phone, so I guess it's not really a software bug.....

The time zone is correct. I called Huawei and they said they did not know why it was happening and that I would have to send my phone in. However, they could to guarantee anything.
The issue is still not fixed....
I also have an Honor 8 and when I set an alarm for an all-day event, the alarm goes off 9 hours after the initial setting. For example, if I set an alarm to go off at 6pm it will actually go off at 3am which is annoying and woke me up in the middle of the night. I am glad I am not the only person with this problem. Hopefully there will be a fix. In the meantime, I just have to adjust the alarm to a time that is 9 hours before I actually want it to go off.

That issue drives me nuts, to the point I got a new phone. Problem Solved! I will never buy another Honor phone.
the all day events have a notification time calculated as in "X day(s) before the event, at specific hour Y" ....from what I can see on my notifications huawei wrongly interpret this as "X day(s) before the event + Y hour(s) before the event" . In my case, for example, when I set on Google Calendar (web) for an all day event notification for that specific day at 9AM setting "0(zero) days before , at 10AM" huawei calendar show it as "0 days before and -10 hours before" (-10 hours before should be exactly 10 hours after which is 10AM) but the notifications is displayed 9 hours later than it should (7PM). Also the "at the start of the event" seems to be 9 hours off ( notification at 9AM ). I had no time to do extensive testing , but seems to be something wrong with the calendar backend on the huawei phones firmware as installing different Calendar apps (including the official Google Calendar app) don't solve the "all day events" notification problem (I have a P10 , bug is present in both 7.0 and 8.0beta Android versions) .....And , it seems that "all day events" that have notifications set 1 (or more) days before and no specific hour, work as expected (or maybe I just didn't noticed the bug on this ones due to not being so critical to have a specific hour 1 week before the event for example ) .

Hi
The way I've resolved my issue, was that I disabled my weather in my app which caused it to have a knock on effect to the time zone issue.
So I renabled it and it worked...
Check your disabled apps, you might have disabled it accidentally

Is your Location set to High Accuracy?
Having exactly the same problem since yesterday. I turned off travel mode which seemed to fix the issue on my home screen but it still seems to affect the lock screen, however it's not all the time.

yes brother
we have same problem
also blink feed not working
i don't know maybe because that issue
I don't use blink feed so can't comment there. No HTC apps have updated recently though as far as I'm aware, so it can't be an update problem.
