I just bought a Tab 2 10.1 model :SGH-T779 version 4.1.2. I would like to root it but everything I'm finding says I need a pc but I only have a mac osx. Can anyone help me root this? Thanks in advance.

Ok let me ask this a different way, I have a t-mobile sgh-t779 version 4.1.2 and want to root it. I found a pc to use now what guide should I use to root it. Thanks in advance

You should try superoneclick. Its been known to root most everything.
For now I suppose there is no section for that new vtab. Hard to believe they gave it a phone like model number instead of a gt-p number.
Did you try it? I'm dying to get mine rooted, but I'd be the first guy to get it bricked if I start messing around with it.

There is a really good forum happening at whirlpool.net.au/forum-replies.cfm?t=2106509&p=27 you will find anything you want I had my tablet rooted in about 15 mins

Can you help me, I try to root my tab 2 i915 but I can't.
Every time that I try with odin says fail or if I try with the recovery way says signature verification failed......
I have a samsung galaxy 10.1 i295 us cellular edition not rooted. ( im not even sure if it can be rooted)
I dont see an option to move apps to the sd and after searching google and the forms I havent found much. Any help out there

Ok, is there a safe way to root the Note 10.1 US Cellular edition?
I have found the tool kit in the forum but don't see my version listed. I only know mine as the I925.

Are you on the 4.3 OTA ?
Only known method for root is safestrap and requires PC http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2565758
