[Dev] Flash init.d scripts without a custom kernel

Working init.d flasher. MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE FLASHING
INSTRUCTIONS
Download and put it in your sdcard
Place scripts in init.d folder
Execute this zip from cwm
You will get a test file in init.d folder if it worked

-Not working on custom roms as reported by evanlocked.
--Need some more reports on custom firmwares.

somehow I don't get it. how could this mod work? I've seen the installer file and couldn't figure how this mod supposed to be work. I've also tried it, and as expected it doesn't work. have everybody test it? as can we see in the script in 99test, if init.d really work you should find file init.d_loader_test.txt ini /data/local/temp. I was testing it with stock DXLB rom. please tell me if this mod work on other stock rom

tried change name and install = no chance
tried to copy with root explorer to /system/app+reboot = no chance
tried to rename+copy with root explorer to /system/app = no chance
...is the rom in which it works for you a stock rom???

It may not work on CM
CM9 is completely different framework. Without even testing it, (though you tested already) I am sure and I can say it won't work on CM9 or similar ROMs. More experienced developers can tell you the exact reasons but for now I just can say it should work on all other custom roms other than CM9.

It is same. Actually I have KingDroind 2.0 with S3 addon which does not have SNote app. Few other custom roms also do not have the SNote app which comes with premium stock ICS rom. So this is for all users who didn't get it preinstalled.
This is extracted from the official firmware.

Is this really the premium SUITE? In the video I saw there were other features like charting that I do not see in the S-Memo app.

Yeah, its the same. It is for those who didn't get it in their custom roms and they can install it separately like any other APK.

I have not tested it on GB, though its a simple guess that it won't work. It's based on ICS.

This is not the only way, but it's not as easy as decompiling and existing theme.

This is for the CRT off animation when powering off the device.

As always. Make a backup before flashing
Download
Flash in recovery
You must be on a Deodexed rom for this to work. This was only tested on the ATT roms. If you are an international user and this causes issues let me know and I will create a version for you specifically.

hey i edited jmz service.jar to try make it vertical but has i dont get my mini till tomorrow i cant test it.

No I merged prebuilt CM9 rom with prebuilt FFOS binaries using fosmaker. But I'm trying to build it from the source these days. Actually I got it to boot but the gui is not coming up. We'll see in few weeks.

Nice. Just waitin' for camera and ril fix and then I'll try this. Good luck with working on it.
P.S. Maybe somebody (sb with good camera) could make a video and place it on YT?

Don't hold your breath though, I have an exam coming up and I can only start working on a fix after that.

PROBLEM SOLVED. Use the Firefox Os.sim card problem fixed here,now you can call,you can text,you can browse. Do everything whatever you want

Tried to replace files but the guy who made it for DHD has all the folders packed in .img's and I can't unpack them using windows.
