Cispa was passed in the house and now just needs senate vote to swing into full affect. This bill is a huge privacy issue . Here is a handy link which sends vote no to your elected officials. It literally takes 30 sec and it could make all the diiference in the world. Unfortunately att and Verizon are backing cispa and they actually even now hand over personal info without legal permission to do so. Please fill out form thanks for your support and pass this along to friends and others. Here is link to voice opposition to cispa bill.

The Senate is not taking it up and Obama has threatened a veto. CISPA as such is dead for now. The Senate is supposedly coming up with its own version; we'll have to see what that consists of.
What ever they come up with I'm sure it won't be much better

I'm in Florida. I have no problem buying it. Got BW on 3 phones
I have three different credit cards on there and none of them work. I guess it hates me. I remember buying a british app in the past with no trouble, too.

Yup. Remember that the majority of XDA users are unregistered, so they can't actually post (without more effort). There are a lot of great petition websites on the internet. I'd try one of those.

I fully support unlocked bootloaders for ALL phones. You own it, you have the right to have full control. Pretty sure this went to court and the court agreed.

Hope we can hit 5000! Send email expressing your concerns to att's president as well. Enough people email him directly, he will unlock it just to make us go away!

Looks good to me, SIGNED!
Welcome, community, to the XDA Developer's Day thread. We receive endless support from the developers. They deal with our bug submissions, questions, comments, complaints, and whining on a daily basis. What can we possibly do to give back?!
________________
When:
The first of every month.
What Can I Do?
Consider Rom, Application, Kernel, Theme, Tweak, and other developers in your decision:
Pick a developer who has influenced your life in some way this month and donate a few dollars! And come next month, pick another developer. A rotation, of sorts. Every donation counts, and is cherished.
Update your signature to reflect your support for developers and for the mass recognition of the holiday!
Credit to DHO for the original thread idea.
I REALLY don't think this will be necessary...
But just in case: Snagging post #2 as well.
Oh, and this has taken off fairly well on Rootzwiki.
I hope it does here as well.
This is a really awesome idea
+1
+1 as well this is a pretty cool idea. Developers really deserve supportfrom the community. One of let's them know that what they are doing is not in vain. Two some monitary support is always a good incentive to keep good hard core developers at the top of their game, which is the long run is good for everyone. Now I know a lot of of developers do it just because it is their personal hobby and the enjoy it. But some cummunity support and graditude never hurts.
Done, great idea.
Edit: And to the jerk who rated this thread with 1 star, you know who you are and you should be ashamed. Truly ashamed...
done
done deal .as stated before great idea.

That's pretty damn lame. . .I guess I'll just have to use the espn app to check my college scores.
Total fail by google

Total fail. I couldn't believe they didn't add college. But I'm sure they'll add it in another update? Or could there be ANY issue with the NCAA. Cause they're douches
Sent from my One X using xda premium
Noticed the same thing. One of my friends with an iphone 5 was however able to ask for a college football score.
Hope it will be on droid soon.
CFB is much to large in the US to ignore it. It's just sad they missed this CFB season, but Google probably assumes there are so few official Jelly Bean users that it just doesn't matter.
Perhaps most of you know this all ready. And honestly with Facebook you are the product cause your not a customer. However because I along with others have family on Facebook we are in a bind. Well Facebook went native and it finally works well with android. So for the others that have resisted being a user. Maybe its time to give them one more shot?

so far im very impressed with 2.0
The experience is definitely improved with the latest version.
Yup, much better.
Also, the argument that if you're not paying something "you're the product" is.... well I'll just say "dramatic." Yes you're being advertised to, and maybe your information is being used for advertising purposes, but.... most normal people don't give a crap, and it certainly doesn't hurt you.
It would be nice to actually be able to hold down on an image ave save !!

I couldn't agree with you more about it hurting anyone.
Its not dramatics' its a simple fact. And that's OK that they sell my info to make money so I can have a free social media outlet.
I Apologize if this thread seems derogatory to Facebook. They seem to had missed the mark with not taking care of its "product". A vast amount of android users became disheartened of the HTML code. I wrote emails to fb explained how it seemed they were ignoring the android user.
I digress... the point of this thread was to welcome back and perhaps persuade old users to "give them one more shot" I would have never thought I'd give fb 5stars for the app! all my cool friends are on Google + and my sheep ios family are on fb.
My cool friends are all you guys on XDA!

Thanks for pointing that out. Just noticed. Good news though. FB also released SDK files so I'm sure we will have some tweaks soon.

It seems good only because the previous version sucked so hard.
We have low expectations for FB, and they finally exceeded them.

Lol. There was no better way to accessing FB than the application. Idk how you handled that if you didint bother with the app . I've dealt with that for years, but it is much better now! Not just better, but good in itself.

I usually just used the browser and the mobile site or the Friendcaster app. The mobile FB site looked almost the same as the old app and Friendcaster works really well on a tablet. I'll definitely check out the new update though. It has to be better than before.
