[Q] Question for the devs...

Hello there,
Only been hanging about here for a couple of months, reading and rooting, bit of a noob really, just wondering how much life the Galaxy 3 has left in it for development?
With oc speeds reaching and exceeding double the standard figure etc. will there be much more to come from the phone, or will it reach a peak and then slowly be discarded for newer and better?
That said, you guys seem do this for fun, help each other a lot, so i think the devs deserve the upmost respect for the work they put in.
Looking forward to trying my next rom already, just gotta pick it!

Petition to all the community

EDIT. This post is an edition of the last post "Possible notification solution", which was a total failure. This post will begin in page number 6. I did this to not open a new thread, and to use last thread.
In the spanish forum, we are working hard to fix some basic bugs that still exist in our device. With the entrance of new kernel developers and with the help of all of us, we hope we will be able to fix those problems that exist since gb exists... This post is a request to all the xda-developers community involved (or not) in this device. With the work of the people who know about the subjet we will make this device a better android phone.
Some of the main bugs we found are basically two:
-Possibility of using videocall. In froyo, videocall used to work with the app Tango, but only in froyo, because the same app works, but with inverted image, with zoom and with a loud and strange noise, which makes the call impossible.
In addition, fring, oovoo, skype or gtalk offer a videocall that doesn't work, appearing a black screen. We could get a modified version of fring, which can help, because it solves the rotation screen problem. Skype has lots of mods in xda, and some of them worked, but finally used to fall down. What we want is someone to port a videocall mode to gtalk, or skype or something like this..
-Notification fix (totally failure until today for some users...)

This thread refers to wifi issue and changing wifi files and not phone files

KC1 works better than KB3 for most users.
I don't know if the modem file is the same in both versions but if not the same modem file, maybe can add the KC1 modem file to the ROM and try it.
What do you think about it?

For me the best solution is wifi files from Cyano.

http://www.multiupload.com/FV1SVAEQ9Y there is the MODEM_I9003XXKB3 file. I tested that in KPQ and doesn't work. We will be posting results.
Some people say KC1 MODEM is working better.. http://www.multiupload.com/G7VWDX0200 will test later.

Hi everyone. I think I have the key of everything... I just flashed my phone company original 2.2.1 MODEM file into KPQ and notification works after 30 min of screenoff mode!
In my case, this is Movistar Firmare XXKB1 MODEM http://www.mediafire.com/?w7804q45j2p0qr4
I dont know if this has anything to do with the company or just the froyo version. Hope this is helpful... By the way I have KPQ with working notifications!

Let me get this right... you are using xxkpq which apparently has still not fixed the notifications bug, you then flashed the attached file, xxkb1 modem file right? so everything is fine? how is it after prolonged testing? any side effects? I didn't know a froyo modem file could work on gb...

Yes, a guy did that on kpn with the kb3 modem and worked and I did the same with the kb1 on the new KPQ. Another guy was successful with the same modem in KPN.
The only think is that i came to the problem back right now.... will be testing today.

I am really looking forward to this solution.

For some people it works, for other it doesn't and for other, (like me) it did. Now I am not recieving notifications with offscreen mode again, but we will be testing...

do keep us posted! Will tune back in here for an update tomorrow, hope its positive!

now you can edit your OP with the procedures and Steps you done so many can test it also....

KPN with KB3 modem still works. Now I translate what he just said in the spanish forum:
@Cherocom: " Bueno, como ya comente por wifi perfecto, y por 3g...... pues tambien, porque me habia olvidado del tlf y hace un momento me ha llegado un whatsapp. para el wifi probe unos 40 minutos y para 3g ha estado algo mas de 2 horas.

How to root Galaxy Fit S5670L GB 2.3.6?

Hello everyone in the forum.. I am asking this since ive check all over the web and cant find nothing :/ i tried doing it the "upd_1" method but it said "instalation aborted" and i did the steps right.. I recently updated to GB 2.3.6..thanx in advance

most of the custom roms have the features more than what gb 2.3.6 have.

That method work for me on DXKT4(GB 2.3.6)
May be you should try other rom

What is "the kitchen" :/ sorry the methos mentioned in the link is the one i tried and didnt work for me..anywhere i can find some good roms?

[Q] Galaxy Pocket Plus S5301 CM 10

Hello guys
How are you doing?
I have a question:
I have Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus GT-S5301 running stock Samsung Firmware ICS 4.0.4 S5301XXAlK3. I have noticed that the firmware functions horribly slow with a lot of performance issues. For example, in order to place a call after receiving a one, I need like one and a half minutes, if not more!!
My question: is there an already project for custom Android firmware for the device running stock Android without Samsung's bloatware?

[help] broken efs | no network

Hello guys, so I was flashing the stock samsung rom on my S8 but somehow Odin failed on me. I tried again and again but it failed. So what I did was, I flashed twrp real quick and restore the backup which I made. My phone boots but doesn't read the sim card, and also the IMEI is showing unknown. What to do? I tried restoring EFS but it's not working. :crying:

vas a tener qué encontrar el firmware correcto con su respectiva versión de binario para tú pais, después desbloquear la red, dejandolo libre

Well, I have solved the problem by downloading the fresh stock firmware and flashing it through odin. My network is back.

Type in google stock rom or stock firmware and you will find a lot of options. Some will have transfer speed restricted for guest users or not premium accounts, but shouldn't be a problem to get that.

Maybe your sim is corrupted. Happened few times with me. I went to my network provider and asked for sim replacement.
