[Q] Kali linux on tf101 - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Noob question here,
So I found this: http://docs.kali.org/armel-armhf/kali-linux-on-galaxy-note
I am curious if there is anyway to port this over to the tf101? Also, I know there is Ubuntu that can be run with a mount-loop.zip and such, is that the same thing they are doing here?
Thanks!

One Click Root for x64 Linux?

Hey everybody,
I have the Droid 2 for a little while now and I'm interested in putting a custom ROM on it, which requires rooting lol... now that i've just stated all the obvious haha I wanna know if there is a one click method for linux users (my windows is too messed up to use and the driver doesn't install)
So ok the sum up of my question. Is there a one click method I can use for Linux (Ubuntu 10.04), if not can somebody point me in the direction of a noob friendly way to do it. I've never rooted a phone before but I have some experience with command lines and things of that nature.
Thanks for any help/advice,
-Jim
The answer to your question is Stickied. Easier 1-2-3 Root for Droid 2. Just follow directions for Mac and Linux.

[Q] SBKv2 and NVFlash

Hi again folks...
Is there any progress or are there any devs working on cracking the SBKv2 ?
I'd love to be able to stick ubuntu on my B70 SBKv2 at some point and as i understand, its only really possible with NVflash ?
I'm waiting for the same thing, or for a way to get Ubuntu on the eeePad.
It has been a wish to try Gnome Shell with a pure touch-screen.
Bump.
This post suggest new Transformers can be nvflashed too.

Waiting for answer from OP to see what he has to say.
Anyone else got any news?

[Q] Help creating custom ICS ROM

Hi!
I'm new on XDA and on Android programming. I want to learn how to create a custom ROM for my Nexus S i9020A (and who knows posting it here for you guys as well) . The thing is I dont know where to start! Im familiar with Windows, Linux and Mac, so the OS isnt a issue, but how can I begin? ASOP seems better? What do I need and etc?
If anyone could help me, would be awesome!
Thanks a lot!

Make sure you are running ubuntu 10.4 and you can find info HERE and HERE.
So the recipe to start is ubuntu 10.04 (LTS) and the download the source?
Thanks!
Any help with adding root, busybox, deodexing, unsecure boot.img, etc? the basic tweaks i mean..
that would be more than amazing!
what is ubuntu used for when writing roms? would like to know the above as well
ubuntu is used to compile android from source.. ubuntu/mac.. windows i believe also can be used, but more painfully.. so ubuntu FTW! and the android kitchen runs smooth on linux, just tried yesterday and figured out the root/busybox stuff.. just the kernel thing is a little blur yet..

Running ArchLinux in a chroot

I wrote this for my Acer A200, but with some tweaking someone should be able to get it to run on almost any device (I'm really just a noob...). Just thought it would help anyone struggling with this.

[Q] TF101G B80 doubts

Hi!
So, I have a TF101G B80 and i use to read the forum and i have some doubts...
Ultimately I want to put linux on my transformer, and I want to know what is the safest and the best method to do so.
My device isnt even rooted, because i never fully understand the stuff about SBKv1 and SBKv2(that i suppose i have).
Sorry about the question, but somehw the dispersed info about this through the forum inst very clear to me =/.
Thanks
Edit: Btw, how is the performance of linux distros running on the transformer?
