download Goomanager from the market, launch the app, then tab on the 3 little boxes on top right hand side, then select install recovery script. That's it. You should have TWRP (recommended). BTW, you must be unlocked in order to install any custom recovery or rom/kernel.

Power off your device, hold volume down and power buttons until you see white text on the screen, now release both buttons, then press volume up twice, you should now boot into TWRP. From here tab on "install" then select your rom zip file then swipe to flash.

The two main ROMS(three if you like, I still consider CromiX Cromi, just future generation) are Cromi, CROMIX and Cyanogen. Take your pick. Supposedly the latest nightly with its new kernel is really nice. What recovery and boot loader do you got?

Hello,
so yesterday I tryed to get seanzscream tweaked jellybean version ( HYDRO)
But I didnt understood how to do it since it's my very first time doing something on android. So I tryed to follow Krabappel guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1845377)
But at step 5 I flash with a jellybean rom instead of ww.9.4.4.3.30 and now im with a ''fake'' 4.1.1 ( by that I mean it tell me I have 4.1.1 but I have almost no jellybean feature ( exept the battery saving thing ))
I tryed to downgrade with ROM manager but I have permission issue, then I tryed to use factory setting but It just bring me back to 4.1.1.
Is there a way I get go from there to seanzscream rom ? or downgrade then continue again ?
thanks!

so you followed this guide to the T. correct
so by that, you have:
unlocked your bootloader.
(Click utilities +, then scroll down to bootloader and download that .apk file, then you simply install it like any other app)
Installed a recovery partition, TWRP (team win recovery) clockworkrecovery has issues with tf300 !!!, so only install TWRP
custom, clean, rom, 100% problem free of issues is, CleanROM 2.1
it will then be rooted and customized
...>
if you cant install recovery, it may be bricked
if you can, fastboot into it, then your good.

it unlocks your bootloader which allows you to install a custom recovery. ex: twrp or cwm. After installing those you are able flash (which means install)
custom roms.

Perhaps you should do a little more research into flashing custom roms before you do anything in the future. Considering you admit to not knowing what the Asus unlocking app does, maybe it would be best to just stick with stock.
OP, you do have the JB bootloader right? If you do, then it should've flashed without problems.

Everytime you reboot/boot your device, in the top left corner, it will read, "Device is Unlocked"
Advantages:
-installing (by means of fastbooting device) a custom recovery partition, like, TWRP (clickworkrecoveryMod is buggy with this tablet,U.A.Y.O.R)
-create/restore backups
-install/flash mods,upgrades,roms
-clean up, cache, davlik, or fix permissions
-much more.
-Installing a custom ROM, like, CleanROM 2.1/2.5 (links above)
-custom kernels,for faster performance
-clean of bloatware
-access to everything,even, hidden,rooted files/folders
OP says can no longer access this thread. Problems solved!

Recovery shouldn't have anything to do with installed Android version.

If I were to guess, it's a different CWM recovery using JB Kernel?. It probably came from 4pda.ru which is a russian site. HAs a lot of android tablet stuff.
Just a guess. Might research it a little and see what I come up with.
It's not exactly the easiest site to navigate through.

I don't exactly see the need of a new recovery, since it works independent of the Android version. An "unknown" recovery would be possibly unsafe as well.

This is not "unknown" recovery. This 6.0.1.1 with kernel from bootloader JB (boot.img)
And this recovery normal mount all partition, make backup-restore and other function.
For ICS bootloader need original recovery 6.0.1.1
For JB bootloader my recovery, rebuilding from original JB bootloader and CMW recovery

You should give some info when posting, otherwise it is "unknown".
The boot.img contains the kernel not the bootloader. The kernel source is yet to be released by Acer and we don't know if Acer has blocked the dangerous emmc wipe command (which will randomly brick tablets, the more you wipe, the riskier you are) like I did on my kernel or not.

But what it does not, it does not flashes. Freezes and hangs. Have my tab after 30 minutes. removed and restarted, now it hangs in APX mode. Do you have a solution for this?
Hi There
after i recovered my Tab to work, i´ve done a flash with this Recovery and it freezes.
After this i only was able to turn off the Decvice.
Now it seem´s that i can´t turn on, Black Screen, no LED, only thing the Computer tells an USB Device want´s to install.
Try to install APX drivers an failed.
some ideas?

"This recovery" meaning mine or Gigabyte0's?
If you're in APX mode, you're out of luck and the service center will probably need to replace your mainboard.

Yes, it meant the version of Gigabyte0. Does not sound good.
Spread the word please:
ONLY USE PAWITP'S RECOVERY UNLESS YOU WANT A BRICKED TABLET
If pawitp's recovery is not working for you, then wait. The Recovery released by Gigabyte0 and found on 4PDA is built with Acer's kernel and Acer still has not fixed the brick bug!
Again, do NOT use Gigabyte0's recovery!

And I will concurr. So far, Pawitp's has caused 0 issues.
Why somebody would want to install an unheard of recovery, with absolutely 0 information about it, is just asking for trouble.
I'll toss in a note to the FSM, and have him deal with Gigabyte0 on what to do with this link.

Maybe you can also let this know on 4PDA.ru, as I am not Russian (and you are) you can probably explain it better:
In the Acer 3.0 Android kernel the command MMC_CAP_ERASE, which has caused all the old bricks, is still present. At least it is in the A110 3.0 kernelsource and I have no reason to believe they would remove it in the A700 3.0 kernelsource but not in the A110 one.
When this command exists in the kernel, and the Recovery also allows it (Recovery can also disable it, but the current A700 recovery doesn't do that), you are almost guarantueed a brick.
If you could translate that to 'the Russians' I guess we can save a few more people from bricking.

Haha you're in luck. There is a new tool that allow you to root while on JB rom. So I recommend to download the FULL ASUS rom from Asus website, unzip the file then use your twrp to flash this rom. After this, you will be on the latest 4.2 but you will lose root and TWRP. Then go here to get the tool http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230763 and root your JB. Once done download Goomanager from the market and install the latest TWRP. From here on you can flash what ever you like.

Since you only have stock recovery, you need to do this:
1. Download the latest Asus full firmware from Asus site. Decompress downloaded .zip file (it will be another .zip)
2. Rename the new zip file to EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip
3. Format FAT32 the MicroSD card that you will be using for the update process
4. Copy the file to (the root directory of) your MicroSD
5. Insert it into the tablet
6. Shutdown (power off) the tablet
7. Power it on by pressing and holding VOLUME DOWN and POWER buttons simultaneously
8. When you see white text in the top left corner of the screen, release the buttons, then press VOLUME UP button twice, the upgrade process
should start...
9. Wait patiently for 10 minutes or so
Once done, use Asus unlock tool to unlock then use motochopper to root and once rooted download Goomanager app from the market to install custom recovery (TWRP). Finally use TWRP to flash ROM/Kernel.

If you device is NOT unlocked, you can't flash TWRP or custom rom/kernel. You only can do root.
Edit: You need to unlock your device first using Asus unlock tool (Version 7) can be download from Asus website.

...sigh, I downloaded the unlock tool at bit.ly/InfinityUnlock but after installing I try to unlock I get an error message saying that it might be network issue, however it is clearly not, any ideas?
Ps: my device has 4.2.1

Oh no ..not good. You have 2 options: 1) keep trying or 2) Need to escalate to Asus tech support, more info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187777&page=2
I have a me301t, basically the same as a tf300t right? (there is no me301t forum right now). I am on 4.2.1 stock (root), but the Bluetooth isn't working, so I am wanting to reflash the stock firmware. I want to keep a locked bootloader, so I can still have warranty if I please. I've looked up a couple of videos of how to, but I am wondering if root will mess up the flashing process. I've also been wondering if I can keep root after flash with Voodoo root keeper. Any advice?

Dear all users of TF300T.
If you are using Stock ROM (Rooted/Non Rooted) and are bricked or stuck on ASUS boot screen. Then this guide is for you.
As i was using stock ROM (ROOTED) with Locked boot loader without custom recovery and my tf300t was Sofbricked due to wrong configurations at Display Pixel scaling and also reformat did not work for me.!
So i thought to create this guide which may help people out here It worked for me Try your LUCK.
Sorry if i am re posting i did not got any guides out here...
If this helped you please give me a Thumbs up.!
Steps:-
1. Download the latest ROM from ASUS website Which matches your SKU.(Important).
It would look somehing like this (TF300T-TW_epad-10_6_1_15_3-UpdateLauncher . zip)
2. Extract it and rename that file to ( EP201_768_SDUPDATE.zip )
3. Now copy this new renamed file to SDCARD (Root of sd card). Put the SDcard into tablet.
4. Now Press and hold Volume Down + Power for a few seconds. Then you will see the ASUS recovery options.
5. 3 icons will appear: RCK, Android, and Wipe Data. The RCK should be flashing green. Press the UP Volume Key Once.
Now wait for a few minutes. It will flash the ROM.
And wola! Your TF300T will again work fine!!

Thanks, but I already figured it out, by looking on another forum. I didn't know that you could install a non-stock rom locked though

You can't without unlocking. He means a compatible Asus ROM.
The ROM has to be signed by Asus, so that method I quoted will only work for Stock ROMS

Yes, you can... It is a good guide if you can follow it.. You must make sure that you have the latest bootloader and compatible TWRP.. Those are very important so you are not brick your device... Good luck and ask all the questions that you have before trying to install the TWRP and bootloader...:fingers-crossed:

ok so i'm having a bit of trouble following this guide...
1) I installed TWRP (with the help of this page) http://www.teamw.in/project/twrp2/105 I had to use the Download - Recovery Image / Fastboot Method because the app method wouldn't download the blob file
2) Now, when I power + volume down boot I can see my bootloader isn't the correct version. how can I update the bootloader? I have the files from the original link i posted (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2481892) so there is the correct bootloader i just don't know how to install it.
is there a more detailed guide with actual step by steps?
Congrats on getting TWRP installed! The rest is easy.
In TWRP select 'Install' and navigate to wherever you have the zip file with the bootloader/TWRP package, select it (if it has xxx signed.zip in the file name you need to check the "verify zip signature" option. sbdags usually signs his zips - don't know if he did with this one).
Swipe the button to flash the file.
When it finished, boot back to system. Do not flash a rom at this point! That would cancel the bootloader flash. Boot back into system first, then back into TWRP and then flash the rom.
BTW - flashing the modified Asus stock rom is perfectly fine, but I wonder why you don't flash CROMi-X 5.2.2?
That rom is from the same developer, based on this stock rom and miles improved since sbdags debloated the stock version.
sbdags stock rom is not really supported whereas he puts out a better version of CROMi-X about every 10 days! It's exhausting to keep up! LOL
You'll find it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425383
You can still flash the BL/TWRP package you downloaded already. It's the same as the one for CROMi-X.

Thanks, Honestly whatever custom rom I have now can randomly reboot and i think is giving me touch screen issues so was just going to hit up a stock install and see if that fixes any problems.
gonna try out the rom you suggested and i can always go back if necessary.
one thing, when i installed theTWRP the blue bar filled up completely and i left it for about 10 minutes and it was still there. so i powered down and everything booted back up correctly (and i can get into the recovery mode).
does everything sound ok to proceed?

You have to kick it out when it is completed by using the fastboot command or just using your power button.. So you are good to go...
You have to try out all the rom and kernels that are available then choose the best one that fit your need...Good luck...
